Abstract: A transport pallet comprising a chassis for supporting goods to be transported, and having feet extending below the chassis for supporting the chassis with a lifting fork space beneath the chassis. The pallet also includes legs provided around the perimeter of the chassis. The legs enable the pallets to be stacked one on another, and have a hollow upper portion and/or a hollow lower portion. Leg extensions are also provided for fitting into the hollow legs to provide separation between the chassis of the stacked pallets. These can be height adjusted. The pallets are generally made of steel or aluminium but can also be made of plastics material having a metal centre.

Abstract: A pallet exhibiting a three dimensional shaped and buoyant inducing body with enhanced load supporting capabilities. The body exhibits a rectangular profile and is constructed of at least one of a corrugated paperboard, plastic or composite material and coated with a plasticized spray. An inner core defined within a three dimensional interior of the body is constructed of any plural arrangement of inner extending, interconnected and frame defining components, at least one of the components and/or the outer surfaces being coated with a plasticized spray. The inner constructed core can further include any of a structural paperboard, bamboo, other tubular material, or structural foam. In a further variant, a standard pallet design of upper and lower cross pieces separated by spaced apart bridge pieces is provided, and in which the individual members are each configured with structurally defined inner cores according to any of the above constructions.

Abstract: This invention has an object to provide a method for precisely fabricating transportation pallets readily adaptable to model change and other alterations. In the method for fabricating a transportation pallet according to the invention, in which jig mounting plates are fixed on a steel pallet base, projecting pieces having holes to which jigs are attached are provided on one longer side of the jig mounting plates (12, 13) at a predetermined interval, a positioning member is secured on the pallet base, the jig mounting plates are temporarily secured along the positioning member, and the jig mounting plates are welded to be fixed on the pallet base.

Abstract: The present invention includes systems, methods and apparatus for pallets that may be assembled for reliable use, and then easily disassembled into component parts that take up less space during storage and/or shipment. Embodiments of the present invention include an upper platform portion and a lower support portion, in which the upper portion has a plurality of downwardly oriented legs that engage corresponding openings in the lower portion, creating a completed pallet having a vertical space between the upper and lower portions through which the arms of a forklift or other transporting device may be inserted. In some embodiments, the lower portion is made up of a single component part, and in other embodiments the lower portion is made up of a plurality of component parts. The upper and lower portions may be separated after use by applying a separating force, and are separately stackable and therefore take up less space during storage and transport.

At least one elongated core member has a top side, a bottom side, an open interior portion and two parallel edges running along the core member adjacent to the top side. The core member is disposed so as to depend downwardly from the bottom surface of the planar member. A glue is disposed between each of the parallel edges of the core member and the bottom surface of the planar member so as to affix the parallel edges of the core member to the bottom surface of the planar member.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to collapsible type pallets and related products embodiments of which include a construction wherein support beams can be integrally formed from the sheet material of the pallet itself. The beams can be supported internally by structural inserts. Additionally, the supporting inserts may include braces for added stability and strength. The beams, as well as the platform can be further braced and structurally supported by cross braces, which run generally at right angles to the beams and pass through apertures in the beams themselves and slots in the inserts. In certain embodiments, the cross braces pass underneath and support the underside of the platform to create significant structural advantages to the pallet. Embodiments of the pallet can be easily assembled from components that can be easily and economically stored and transported. Embodiments are light-weight thereby providing savings in assembly, transportation, and storage.

Abstract: The pallet includes a plurality of supporting members, a plurality of upper plate members placed parallel with one another on and across the supporting members, and a pair of prop members placed at both ends of a bottom surface of each of the support members. Each of the prop members are constructed such that the outer wall thereof has the same height as both sidewalls accommodated in grooves of the supporting members and the inner wall thereof has a groove into which the body of the supporting member is to be inserted, thereby, preventing possible accidents of injuries and damages by keeping dangerous sharp cut edges of the respective members from being exposed.

Abstract: Processes and a pallet (10) are provided for the handling of goods. The pallet (10) includes a main body (12) defining a load deck (16) and feet (18) and the main body (12) is suitable to be used as a pallet for applications such as light duty, one-way transport of goods. The pallet (10) further includes a bottom accessory (14) that can be attached to the feet (18) of the main body (12) to form beams (44,46) extending between the feet (18) to convert the main body (12) into pallet (10) that is suitable for use in heavy duty applications such as in pallet pools. The main body (12) and bottom accessory (14) are each configured to allow them to be nested, when not attached to each other. The processes of the invention include using the main body (12) to transport goods from manufacturers and then attaching the bottom accessory (14) to the main body (12) to form a pallet (10) for use in a pallet pool.

Abstract: A pallet for use with a fork lift includes a top deck, a mid-top member and a base. The top deck has a plurality of ribs extending downwardly and a plurality of column-receiving recesses formed on the underside thereof. The base includes a plurality of columns projecting substantially vertically and received within the recesses of the top deck. Snap-tabs secure the columns to the deck. A generally planar mid-top member is secured to the plurality of ribs on the deck and has a plurality of openings into which are received the plurality of columns. The mid-top member is sandwiched between the ribs of the top deck and shoulders formed on the outer periphery of the columns.

Abstract: A container includes a pallet base having a rectangular deck and support portions extending downward from an underside of the deck and a channel extending into an upper surface of the deck along edges of the deck. A sidewall defines a corrugated rectangular wall having four sides and setting into the channel in the pallet. Magnets are embedded into two sections of the sidewall to attract and retain the sections together. A cover fits over the sidewall. Alignment portions are formed in the channel and complementary alignment portions are formed in the bottom of the sidewall for aligning the sidewall with the pallet base. The pallet base includes intersecting strap receiving portions formed in an underside of the pallet base and the cover includes intersecting strap receiving portions formed on a top portion of the cover. The sidewall may be a see through material to provide for viewing contents from outside the container.

Abstract: A wooden pallet includes a base layer, and a cargo layer. The cargo layer includes a pair of spaced apart connector boards, and a pair of spaced apart end deck boards orthogonal to the pair of connector boards. Respective ends of the pair of end deck boards overlap respective ends of the pair of connector boards. Nail plates are coupled between the respective ends of the pair of connector boards and the respective ends of the pair of end deck boards. Each nail plate has a first surface having projections extending outwards therefrom and embedded into one of the end deck boards, and a second surface opposite the first surface devoid of any projections and contacting an end of one of the connector boards. Spaced apart support blocks are between the base layer and the pair of connector boards in the cargo layer, and form a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member.

Abstract: A dunnage platform adapted to support a load for transport comprises a deck including a top surface, a bottom surface and an edge extending therebetween and a pair of legs, each of the legs including at least one foot extending from the leg. The bottom surface of the deck includes at least one stub for each of the legs, the at least one stub positioning the leg along the bottom surface. The at least one foot of each leg is hollow to receive the at least one stub. When the pair of legs is positioned along the deck, the dunnage platform is elevated by the at least one foot extending from the each said leg of the pair of legs.

Abstract: A product display system for disposable absorbent article containers is provided. The product display system includes a first stacked product array including a first set of individual disposable absorbent article containers and a second stacked product array including a second set of individual disposable absorbent article containers. Each individual disposable absorbent article container contains a first and second visible graphic such that when the individual containers are stacked appropriately the combination of visible graphics forms a continuous larger visible graphic. The set of stacked product arrays maintains the continuous larger visible graphic, even when some individual containers from the product display are removed or missing. A method for enhancing the visibility and recognition of a product display system is also provided.

Abstract: A pallet for a pallet container for storing and for transporting liquid contents has an upper deck made of profiled sheet steel and a substructure having a plurality of plastic feet or runners. The pallet is grounded electrically. In order to ensure a reliable electrical discharge (electrical grounding) of, for example, electrostatic charging, accompanied by the properties of a high resistance to mechanical loading, fewer than half the plastic feet or runners are made of plastic material which is electrically conductive and more than half the plastic feet or runners are made of plastic material which is not electrically conductive.

The upper surface portion of the pallet sheet is provided with a plurality of upwardly oriented collapsible cleats for enhancing cushioning and frictional characteristics, and in addition, upwardly and downwardly oriented cleats are also disposed upon the upper and lower surface portions of the upwardly angled edge portions so as to provide enhanced gripping characteristics for the pallet sheet by a gripper bar mechanism of a motorized transport vehicle. Still further, a support system is provided for supporting a plurality of pallet sheets thereon wherein the oppositely disposed edge portions of the pallet sheets can be maintained at their desired predetermined angle.

Abstract: An industrial platform for material handling, such as a plastic pallet, is constructed of three scuffed thermoplastic sheets, including exterior intumescent polymeric surfaces for resisting the spread of combustion flames and insulating the interior surfaces from the high temperature of fire. The pallet is reinforced with optional rigidifying structures without article modification. Pallet members are joined with snap together features providing an assembled article. The pallet includes handles for ergonomic manipulation by worker, and is readily adapted to receive a number of unitization accessories for enhancing material handling operations.

Abstract: An improved pallet that is capable of easy assembly, functionally adequate for some situations and capable of easy disassembly. In one form of the invention, a pallet is provided that is made of all wood. In one embodiment, the pallet may be comprised of a plurality of stringers with bores, a plurality of deck boards with openings, and a plurality of wooden dowels disposed in the bores and openings to connect the stringers and deck boards.

Abstract: The inventive concept is directed to a leveling device to level cabinets or other appliances. The device is constructed as an elongated housing having an interior therein. The interior of the housing will receive a movable triangular adjustment lever which is mounted in the housing in such a manner that a bottom flange will protrude from the housing and contact a floor on which the cabinet is to be located. The triangular adjustment lever has an upstanding flange that is contacted by an adjustment bolt which is accessible from the outside of the housing. A leveling device is installed in each of the inside corners of the cabinet and is accessible from a wall in the toe-kick recess of the cabinet by way of a tool through the wall. The leveling devices located in the rear corners of the cabinet are accessible for adjustment by way of on elongated rod passing through the wall and will attach to the respective adjustment bolts.

In one form, the pallet includes a plurality of substantially horizontal members attached to a substantially rectangular frame, a mounting plate attached to at least one of the rectangular frame and the plurality of substantially horizontal members, a support plate integral with the mounting plate, and a signage support unit configured to hold signage therein.

Abstract: This invention relates to shipping pallets 10 that may be constructed, at least in part, from structural members 100 that are largely fabricated from paper and paper based materials. One or more of the structural members 100 may include a wrapper 60 secured in tension to a core 20. The core 20 may include one or more laminated fiberboard sheets 40. Because of the use of paper and paper based materials, the one or more aspects of shipping pallets 10 in accordance with the present inventions may be recycled.

In the pallet 10, the inner ribs are respectively formed by continuously abutting and integrating end surfaces of first inner ribs 13a and 13b projecting from the first wall 13 toward a hollow portion and end surfaces of second inner ribs 14a and 14b projecting from the second wall 14 toward the hollow portion.

Abstract: A cargo loading system capable of retaining a pallet along a centerline of a cargo aircraft and outside the wingbox area of the aircraft includes a number of devices. Included among these are first and second centerline end restraints mounted on the centerline, at least one caster panel mounted on one side of the cargo hold and across the centerline from a side door of the aircraft, and a plurality of mechanical restraints mounted on a floor of the cargo hold on either side of the centerline and outside the wingbox area. The first and second centerline end restraints each have at least one retractable lockhead configured and dimensioned to engage an end of a pallet. The at least one caster panel includes at least one retractable guide formed at a first end thereof, and at least one retractable guide formed along a first side thereof.

This foot (8) contains at least two inner comparatively wide support parts (13, 14, 15), arranged in series and projecting from the bottom part (16) of the foot (8). In this way, according to fire tests—where several identical pallets (1) filled with goods were stacked on top of each other—each pallet (1) has a unique ability to extinguish flames generated in goods on the pallet located directly below the pallet in question, and moreover, the pallet also shows considerable dimensional stability. This makes the pallet (1) particularly suitable for transport on transport means, optionally roller conveyors which cause many bumps.

Abstract: A pallet has an upper deck portion having an upper planar portion and a lower deck portion having a lower planar portion. Ribs extend from one of the planar portions and are vibration welded to the other planar portion. A peripheral lip extends downwardly from the upper deck portion around the periphery of the lower portion. In this manner, the entire upper deck portion, which includes the entire upper surface of the pallet, is vibration welded to the lower deck portion. Further, the peripheral lip of the upper deck portion hides any flash that might be generated by the vibration welding process.

Abstract: A pallet for use with forklifts and pallet jacks has entry ways for the tines or blades of the forklift or pallet jack that are aligned with open areas in the top deck of the pallet. This enables removal of a part of the load on the pallet aligned with the open area in the top deck by inserting a tine(s) or blade(s) into one or a pair of the entry ways, raising the tine(s) or blade(s) to pass through the open area in the top deck and engage the part of the load of the pallet. Then, the part of the load can be separately removed from the pallet without disturbing the remainder of the load supported on the pallet. The top deck of the pallet is divided into quadrants, and a load can be assembled on the pallet that is different in one or more of the quadrants.
