    Abstract: A multi-pole electric plug having two housing parts nested in one another is proposed, in which both housing parts are connected in the direction in which they are put together by means of a snap connector which locks into place automatically when the parts are put together. The snap connector has a protruding finger with a thickened snap head in the outer housing part and in the inner housing part has a passageway bore intended for the finger and having a protruding inner annular shoulder, which is engaged from the back by the snap head. Unintentional unlocking is prevented by a threaded segment of a screw extending through the finger, which when the plug is inserted is simultaneously screwed in as a screw securing means.

    Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines having a valve needle which enters an intermediate position in a retarded fashion and subsequently reaches its final position quickly. The valve needle is coupled in a positively-engaged manner with a supplementary body which as a result of its mass and/or hydraulically damps the movement of the valve needle over the course of a first stroke portion. At the end of this stroke portion, the supplementary body strikes a shoulder attached to the housing, whereupon the valve needle after the attainment of a notably higher fuel pressure, is separated from the supplementary body and translated quickly into its open position. In special cases, it is also possible for two supplementary bodies to be provided, which are uncoupled one after another from the valve needle and then again recoupled to the valve upon the closure of the valve.

    Abstract: An electronic control device is proposed for a Diesel fuel metering system, in which at the onset of the starting procedure, a constant fuel quantity is pre-specified at first, and this quantity subsequently increases in steps or in a ramp-like manner. Above a predetermined rpm or starting quantity, an rpm-dependent reduction in quantity takes place, to 90% of the full-load quantity. The open-loop or closed-loop control of the starting quantity ends upon the attainment of a speed of 800 rpm, for example. Both an analog and a computerized realization of the control device are provided, and the control device according to the invention is capable of dispensing with the processing of a temperature signal and can thus dispense with the use of one temperature sensor.

The closing spring of the valve needle can be advantageously accommodated in the high-pressure chamber and can simultaneously act as the return spring for the stepped piston so that a separate part for that purpose can be dispensed with.

The fuel injection system includes metering valves, with each of which a regulating valve is associated, the movable valve element of which can be acted upon on one side by the fuel pressure downstream of the particular metering valve and on the other side by the pressure in a differential pressure control line, which is defined on one end by a first electrofluidic converter of the nozzle/baffle type and on the other end by a first throttle. In the bypass line there is a temperature-dependent resistor, which ascertains the mass of air flowing via the bypass line, this mass being at a predetermined proportion to that flowing through the flow conduit of the medium, and this resistor via an electronic control unit triggers a fuel-injection valve in the flow conduit of the medium. The course of the flow cross section in the restricted section is determined by way of example by a shaped body surrounding the fuel injection valve.

    Abstract: A fuel injection pump is proposed, based on a fuel injection pump of a known type, which has an adjusting member for determining the injection duration and is provided with a throttle device for determining the effective supply stroke of the pump piston. In accordance with the invention it is proposed that the position of the throttle device be varied by means of a pressure control device, which is controllable by signals of an rpm-dependent electronic control unit. The position of the adjusting member determining the duration of injection remains as constant as possible, while the throttle device adjusts the flowthrough cross section of a connecting line leading from the pump work chamber to a fuel withdrawal chamber in accordance with rpm. Thus it is possible, in particular given the small injection quantities required during idling, to effect a uniformly small injection quantity per unit of time during a relatively long injection duration; this results in a substantial reduction in noise.

    Abstract: A method in which a plug-in pump, controlled by oblique edges, is inserted with the aid of an adjusting device into a pump fitting of an internal combustion engine and which without subsequent correction of the supply quantity guarantees an identical supply quantity for all the plug-in pumps of one engine. With a supply quantity adjusting member held firmly in a test position, the plug-in pump is inserted into the test pedestal and rotated until such time as the supply quantity corresponds to the set-point supply quantity, this rotational position marked by a slash mark on the flange of the plug-in pump. With a governor rod, which is part of the engine, locked in the basic test position, a second slash mark is subsequently made on the pump fitting by means of a dummy pump. Once the dummy pump has been removed, the plug-in pump is secured in the pump fitting of the engine with the slash marks in alignment.
