These small diameter air passages are defined by small diameter pipes each provided with fuel gas jet openings to allow air and gas to mix with each other well therein prior to entry to a combustion chamber downstream of the small diameter air passages. Explosions occur intermittently and automatically in the combustion chamber.

    Abstract: A housed valve is proposed which serves in particular as a metering and distribution valve for a fuel injection system of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally supplied ignition. The valve includes a control slide with a control edge and at least two control slits. The control edge opens the control slits to a greater or lesser extent depending on the relative movement between the control slide and the control slits. A helical spring is supported on one control slide end, the end of the spring oriented toward the control slide being bent at an angle and arranged to protrude into an opening of the control slide end, while the other end of the spring is connected in a twist-free manner with the valve housing.

    Abstract: A fuel injection pump is proposed, which has a centrifugal governor disposed in the suction chamber of the fuel injection pump, the governor having a sleeve displaceable on a piston, and a pressure chamber enclosed in the interior of the governor sleeve, the latter being defined by the end face of the piston. By means of a relief line of the pressure chamber which is opened in the offset position of the governor sleeve, the restoring force on the centrifugal governor is increased during starting by the amount of the pressure difference appearing at the governor sleeve. Beyond a predetermined adjustment of the governor sleeve, the relief line is blocked, so that the governor can function unhindered within the normal operational range. The hysteresis thus resulting upon the shut-off of the increased starting quantity improves the behavior of the engine as it runs up to operational speed.

    Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems comprises a valve casing and a first connecting pipe which serves as a magnetic core over which a solenoid winding is disposed. A second connecting pipe is disposed interiorly to the first connecting pipe, the two pipes in combination forming a flow channel for the inflowing fuel. Flow of the fuel is facilitated through a connecting or communicating opening and a blind bore into an interior cavity of valve casing, when it flows further either via an interior bore of the first connecting pipe and a bore of the second connecting pipe. From there the fuel can proceed onward to a return flow line, or else, when the solenoid winding is energized and the valve passage between the seat and head is open, the fluid can be metered through fuel passages and injected from a preparation bore.

    Abstract: An rpm-to-voltage converter for use in vehicles, in which the converter evaluates the time period between two sequential rpm pulses. This is accomplished by means of a capacitor loading and unloading in an approximately hyperbolic course, so that the inversely proportional relationship between the frequency and the period duration is evaluated for the frequency-to-voltage conversion. The primary characteristics of the converter are a capacitor which can be periodically loaded and unloaded, the exponential voltage course of which during the loading phase is followed by means of an emitter follower, and at the end of the loading procedure the voltage value proportional to the rpm is stored in a memory device.

    Abstract: A fuel injection valve and a method for the automatic establishment of the desired armature stroke of the fuel injection valve are proposed which serves the purpose of injection at low fuel pressures into the intake tube of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally-supplied ignition. The fuel injection valve includes a magnetic coil surrounding a core and a flat armature guided by at least one guide diaphragm held on its outer circumference, which is firmly connected with a movable valve element cooperating with a fixed valve seat. The fuel delivered via a fuel inlet nozzle can proceed through apertures and recesses in the guide diaphragms past the valve seat to a fuel discharge nozzle by way of which a portion of the delivered fuel can flow back again into a fuel return line. Via an annular channel the fuel stream exiting from the nozzle bore cab be prepared with air which surrounds the fuel stream.

    Abstract: A dual circuit brake valve which is provided with a relief connection intended for two separate individual valves and in which two outlet valve seats are disposed centrally in the valve. The two outlet valve seats are prestressed with respect to one another by way of a bolt and a prestressed pressure-limiting spring in such a way that at a time braking begins the two individual valves represent a rigid connection. From a pressure limitation point on, the two individual valves then support themselves elastically against one another, so that a further increase in braking pressure is precluded. The dual circuit brake valve is intended for brake systems having high pressure as a reservoir pressure and normal pressure as the braking pressure.

    Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines, provided with a valve needle and an induction coil, which sits in a spacer plate mounted between the nozzle body and the nozzle holder. The valve needle projects into the induction coil and acts upon the magnetic domain of the induction coil by the action of its movement, whereby a signal dependent on the velocity of the needle is produced. The induction coil is provided with laterally disposed contact prongs which are connected with extended connecting wires by means of a weld or solder joint. The connecting wires lead through boreholes in the nozzle holder. The injection nozzle is distinguished by an especially small electrical line resistance, and by the fact that, with appropriate dimensioning and construction of the ends of the connecting wires, which carry the extended connection contacts, there will be no special contact measures necessary for disassembly.

    Abstract: An anti-skid braking apparatus having a multiple-circuit brake force amplifier is proposed. The brake force amplifier is followed by a 3/2-way magnetic valve which is, inserted into a brake circuit (I) which is closed per se. After a predetermined pressure threshold has been exceeded, the 3/2-way magnetic valve switches over and connects an open brake circuit (II) with the closed brake circuit (I). In this manner, it is advantageously possible to use a closed brake circuit (I), thus enabling the attainment of a small and lightweight structure of the brake force amplifier. It is furthermore easy to recognize defects in the system with the aid of a plurality of switches which are disposed in part on the brake force amplifier, and with the aid of an electronic switching device evaluating the switching signals of these switches. A test circuit for the switches is also possible with the aid of a logic circuit. The anti-skid braking apparatus is preferably applicable to motor vehicles of the medium weight class.
