Abstract: A method and apparatus is proposed for sampling at a low rate a broad band sparse spectrum without aliasing to a specified band in which a lowest sampling frequency is found by selecting that signal level from the spectrum which is considered negligible and finding the bandwidths at which the information bands about the carrier frequency multiple reaches this level, then arranging forbidden or unaccepted values of the remainder r of the quotient of the carrier frequency divided by the sampling frequency into a series in order of magnitude, further selecting those sampling frequencies at which adjacent forbidden ranges of the remainder become contiguous, selecting the least value thereof in order to ascertain the corresponding permissible value of the remainder r, and finally determining the corresponding least sampling frequency and the maximum integer value multiple of a clock count, thus establishing the maximum sampling interval.
Abstract: A method of remodeling a control section of a backhoe comprising adding a relay unit including relay rotary sleeve shafts and rotary shafts rigidly attached to a carrier base to extend in two parallel rows, and operatively connecting the rotary sleeve shafts and rotary shafts selectively to drive rods which are pushed or pulled by an oscillation in one direction of one of the hand levers, respectively, and to driven rods operatively connected to those of the valves which should be actuated by the drive rods, respectively.

Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines in which by means of an obliquely extending control groove on the jacket face of a distributor, the end of injection can be varied by opening a relief conduit during the displacement of the distributor. The injection onset is made to follow this variable end of injection by providing that the stroke position of the pump pistons of the fuel injection pump is ascertained at the end of injection by a transducer, by means of which at the same time a metering duration of a magnetic valve that has already been opened at the time of the end of the injection stroke is controlled. In this manner, with a radial piston pump so embodied, the opportunity is afforded of accurately adjusting the quantity of fuel to be metered by means of a magnetic valve, even with variable injection times. All that needs to be done is that the magnetic valve be closed exactly and rapidly at the end of metering, while an error in opening on the part of the magnetic valve does not occur.

Abstract: A fluid supply pump such as a roller cell pump which includes a multiplicity of individual pumping bodies or rollers held in the grooves of a driven rotor in contact with an eccentrically disposed roller path which, in a certain angular range around the narrowest and widest gap, it is, at each location, virtually identical with a concentric circular path which is drawn around the rotor center point, the path preferably formed by two ellipse halves, for the elliptic shape can be virtually exactly approximated around the apex points of the ellipse by means of its primary circles of curvature to thereby improve the dynamic sequence of operations, for example to increase the sealing effect of the radial gap and to adapt the expansion and compression phases to the opening and closing conditions of the intake and pressure grooves.
Abstract: An apparatus is proposed to measure the mass of a flowing medium, especially to measure the amount of aspirated air of internal combustion engines. The apparatus consists of an electronic regulating circuit and of a temperature-dependent measuring resistor in the form of a hot wire placed in the medium flow, which is led in the form of a coil around each of the hook-shaped ends of each of the supports. One end of the hot wire, the latter being covered with a thin, electrically insulating layer, is connected with the hook-shaped end in an electrically conducting manner, while the other end of the hot wire is connected with the hook-shaped end of the other support. The closely bundled hot wire coils can be covered with a common protective layer. The supports can serve as electrical connections for the hot wire and are fastened to a carrier.
Abstract: A method for preventing damage to a temperature-dependent resistor disposed in a flow cross section caused by overheating as a result of the ignition of a combustible, gaseous mixture during a burn-off procedure is proposed. A heating resistor is disposed in the flow cross section in the vicinity of the temperature-dependent resistor which is supplied with heating current by an electronic regulating circuit in such a manner that during the measuring operation the heating resistor has no current flowing through it, while immediately following the termination of the measuring operation but prior to the initiation of the burn-off procedure at the temperature-dependent resistor, the heating resistor experiences a flow of electric current through it, which heats it to an elevated temperature at which any combustible gases located in its vicinity ignite and burn.
Abstract: The frame for a packaging machine, of welded construction, is proposed to be simply and inexpensively manufacturable yet be very rigid and stable. It has two end walls, a plurality of intermediate walls, two support beams and crosspieces, which are welded to one another. The intermediate walls, which are all of identical shape, are made of sheet steel, and the crosspieces are made of steel tubes. The steel tubes are sealed at their ends and serve as supply containers for compressed air and underpressure.
Abstract: The invention discloses a molding machine for making flaskless molds, which has a minimum of structural component groups and units as well as of control devices and adjusting elements. The machine frame is embodied by a closed, symmetrical frame including hollow side parts which receive the pourable molding material and simultaneously perform the functions of tie rods and guidance for the molding flasks. Molding sand blowing-in openings are disposed on the inner walls of the side parts, and the openings are controlled by molding sand openings in the molding flasks in the manner of a valve slide.

An electromagnetic coil comprising coil portions is mounted axially with respect to the armature in coil retainers encapsulating the armature and shaft as a unit for ease of assembly in the housing.

Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, in which beyond a predetermined remnant stroke during the supply stroke of the pump piston a relief conduit is opened via a first control edge and the remaining fuel pumped by the pump piston is pumped into a reservoir connected there. During the subsequent intake stroke, the diverted fuel is pumped back into the pump work chamber of the pump piston, until the first control edge again closes the relief conduit. During the subsequent intake stroke of the pump piston, in particular at the bottom dead center position of the pump piston, the relief conduit to the reservoir is once again opened by a second control edge, and then a complete relief of the reservoir is attained. It is during this phase that the metering of the fuel to be injected during the next supply stroke of the pump piston also takes place, via a magnetic valve.

Abstract: A body support and the method of making the same. The body support, whose function is to support a users legs, feet or head, includes three main parts connected together on a common pivot axis and which are swingable between a folded storage position, in which the three parts lie substantially in a common plane and an operative position in which two of the members form an inverted "V" shaped support for the third member which serves as the foot or head rest. The two members are "U" shaped with one of the members nesting within the other when the body support is in its folded position. The third member which may be cushioned is supported jointly by the pivot means and by a portion thereof resting on the legs of one of the "U" shaped members. The third member is inclined at an angle to serve as the foot or head support. The three parts can be made from a single piece of material. Means are provided to limit extension of the "U" shaped parts.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump having a device for adjusting the injection timing having a work chamber defined by an adjusting piston and communicating via a throttle bore with a pressure source from which the pressure to adjust the adjusting piston is drawn. In order to modify the pressure in the work chamber, the work chamber can be made to communicate via a pressure limiting valve with the relief side of the pump. The control force of the pressure limiting valve is adjustable by means of a stepping motor. An influence on the pressure controlling the adjusting piston is thereby obtained which is restricted to the work chamber.
Abstract: A control device having certain criteria which must be fulfilled in order to trigger an acceleration enrichment. Criteria are a defined number of successive load values of increasing tendency and/or an actual load value with a defined distance above the arithmetic mean of a number of preceding load values. For the acceleration enrichment itself operational parameters, such as rpm, load, load gradient, temperature and number of revolutions since the triggering of the acceleration are processed.

Abstract: A cutting blade, for vines and the like, adaptable for use on a standard gauge or press wheel typically mounted on a shovel cultivator used in agricultural purposes. The cutting blade is readily secured for use on the gauge wheel, upon removal of the regular tire. In another invention embodiment, a specialized structure mounts the cutting blade. In any event, effective operation is provided to prevent binding during the cultivating operation.
Abstract: An emergency control apparatus is proposed for a fuel metering system in a Diesel engine, where the signal processing unit (microcomputer) and/or a regulator can be bypassed. In the case of the failure of the signal processing unit, the position signal of the driving pedal is switched more or less directly to the regulator for triggering the control unit for the quantity-determining member, and if there is a failure of the regulator, a purely proportional regulator comes into action. It is thus assured that even in the case of failure emergency operation is guaranteed, the course of which emergency operation can essentially be influenced only by the driver of the vehicle.

Abstract: A hydraulic dual-circuit tandem main brake cylinder which includes at least one closed brake circuit (I) having a brake piston. This brake piston is actuated by means of the pressure fed into a pressure chamber by means of a brake control valve with a travel simulator spring. Adjoining this pressure chamber is also an auxiliary piston device, which comprises an auxiliary piston and a tappet passing therethrough and connected indirectly with the brake pedal. A highly progressive spring is fastened between the auxiliary piston and the tappet; this spring predominantly determines the pedal characteristic.
Abstract: An internal combustion engine in which each cylinder or combustion volume includes a separate ignition chamber which communicates with the main combustion chamber through a relatively narrow channel or channels. The combustible mixture is delivered to the separate chamber exclusively through these channels by the compressive action of the piston and is ignited there by a suitable electrical spark, for example. There is no additional admission of fuel or fuel mixture to the separate ignition chamber. The channel or channels terminate in the ignition chamber in such a manner, for example, tangentially, that one or more vortices are generated in the chamber prior to ignition. The channels are so oriented that the emerging igniter flames are directed to potential hot cells in the main combustion chamber where auto-ignition could occur.
Abstract: In order to fabricate and emplace a thermal insulating mat at favorable cost and in order to provide the mat with good thermal insulation properties at a favorable cost, the thermal insulating mat comprises films having sealed chambers which are filled with a filler gas, the thermal conduction coefficient of which is smaller than that of air.
