Abstract: An anti-skid system in which a low-pressure sensor generates a signal when the primary brake fluid pressure falls below a minimum level. In that case, the low-pressure signal is applied to the anti-skid brake action controller to diminish the frequency of actuation of the brakes so as to conserve brake fluid. In a variant of the invention, the low-pressure signal is used to temporarily cancel the action of the anti-skid system to conserve brake fluid.
Abstract: A hydraulic brake force amplifier is proposed, which has a control valve actuatable via a travel-imparting spring which directs the exertion of pressure medium from a supply source as an auxiliary force.The travel-imparting spring disposed subsequent to the brake pedal provides sensitive response by the control valve. If the auxiliary force fails, the action of the travel-imparting spring is precluded, so that pedal travel is not used unnecessarily.In order to effect this preclusion, a barrier piston is used, which is exposed on one side to the force of a spring and on the other side to a varying pressure, so that it does not seize due to corrosion and always remains in a functionally ready condition.The combination of the brake force amplifier with an anti-wheel-lock apparatus is possible.The hydraulic brake force amplifier is preferably applicable in vehicle braking systems for passenger cars and light trucks.
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injection nozzle, in which at least two levers are disposed between the valve needle and the spring support plate of the closure spring, which levers are supported with one end on the housing and the other end on the valve needle, these levers being supported in the middle region on the spring support plate, thereby permitting a certain lever path. As a result it is attained that during this first lever path or a first stroke of the valve needle, because of the action of the levers, the closing force exerted by the spring on the valve needle is reduced in accordance with the lever translation. As a result of this intermediate-position control of the needle stroke, with the creation of a pressure step in consequence, cold-start hammering of the engine is avoided, and quieter operation is made possible, as a result of the resulting prolongation of injection time during idling and at partial load.
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle having a built-in transducer for detecting the onset of injection or the duration of injection by means of a signal. The transducer is dimensioned so as to be housed in the nozzle holder without altering the external shape of the injection nozzle. The transducer may be a Hall transducer or a field-dependent resistor probe.
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle is proposed having two nozzle needles in which the control of the fuel delivered via an inflow line is effected by means of a slide valve embodied as a 3-way valve, which in a preferred embodiment of the invention is simultaneously embodied as a 3-position valve and permits not only the alternative exertion of the fuel pressure upon one of the nozzle needles but also a common pressure exertion of both nozzle needles.
Abstract: A method is proposed providing push-through containers with removable stickers making possible a simple and sure affixing of the stickers to the push-through containers. In addition, this method has the further advantage of making possible the simple and easy removal of the sticker from each container unit separated from the push-through container.
Abstract: A switching device for the displacement of the brush body holders in brush manufacturing machines during the drilling and stuffing operations in the production of brushes. Necessary displacements can be accomplished simply and accurately for any shapes of brush bodies without requiring any machine modification or readjusting by utilizing a programmable logic control system and hydraulic linear force amplifiers.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is proposed for obtaining a control variable for the closed-loop control of the fuel-air ratio of the operating mixture of internal combustion engines, in which a threshold-current sensor of known structure is used. By means of varying the measurement voltage present at the threshold-current sensor by voltage amounts which correspond to a change in oxygen concentration to be expected in association with a change in operational state, the time behavior of the threshold-current sensor, which is essentially sluggish, is compensated for and it becomes possible to use it for rapidly-functioning closed-loop control systems in internal combustion engines.

Abstract: A fuel injection system is proposed which can be triggered in such a manner that when control signals characterizing engine overrunning are present the fuel injection is interrupted. The fuel injection system includes metering valves, each of which is assigned one regulating valve, the movable valve element of which can be exposed on one side to the fuel pressure downstream of the pertinent metering valve and on the other side to the pressure in a control pressure line, which is limited on one side by a control throttle and on the other side by a control pressure valve. During engine overrunning, an electromagnetic valve which is disposed in a bypass that bypasses the control throttle or the control pressure valve or an electromagnetic valve in the control pressure line can be controlled in such a manner that the fuel pressure in the control pressure line increases and the regulating valves close, as a result of which the fuel injection is interrupted.
Abstract: An apparatus is proposed which serves the purpose of controlling the exhaust gas recirculation quantity and the injection quantity in auto-igniting internal combustion engines. In this apparatus, an arbitrarily actuatable throttle valve is provided in the intake manifold, downstream of which a control pressure is withdrawn from the intake manifold and used to actuate a pneumatic adjustment device which determines the position of the quantity adjustment device of a fuel injection pump. This control pressure simultaneously serves to actuate an exhaust gas recirculation valve and acts counter to the force of a restoring spring in the work chamber of a second pneumatic adjustment device.
Abstract: A laser device especially intended to generate ultrashort light pulses, wein the laser path is defined by an interferometer (I) providing substantially total reflection, a partial reflector (OM) for decoupling, and a stimulatable laser medium (D) between the interferometer and the partial reflector, the interferometer comprising a beam splitter (1, 2) through which the light pulses are transmitted substantially without loss to a total reflector (4, 5) which reflects the component beams back to the beam splitter, and a device (3) for varying the ratio of the path lengths travelled by the component beams between the beam splitter and the total reflector.

Abstract: An injection instant adjuster for internal combustion engines is proposed, by means of which the mutual rotary position of an off-drive element relative to a driving element is variable at least in accordance with rpm. The injection instant adjuster includes at least two adjusting cams acting as the adjusting mechanism, which during their rotary movements, effected by control elements, control a "late" adjustment (.alpha.) of the instant of injection during a first partial rotation (.gamma.) which precedes the "early" adjustment (.beta.) controlled during the further partial rotation (.delta.). This is possible by means of a suitable selection of the outset position of an adjusting bolt.
Abstract: A snow attachment, as a blade, which may be selectively and readily positioned and secured onto a conventional road grader to permit the latter to provide multi-functional seasonal purposes. The snow blade, which is added to the front of the grader, is operated by hydraulically controlled power arms which normally serve lowering and lifting purposes for a conventional, but now-removed, known scarifier blade.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve intended in particular for the injection of fuel into the intake manifold of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition. The valve includes a flat armature which is firmly connected with a movable valve element, embodied as a ball, to cooperate with a fixed valve seat. The flat armature is supported on a first side so as to pivot about a tilt edge provided on said side and remote from the valve seat and is retained at the tilt edge on this side by the force of a spring engaging the first side of the flat armature oriented toward the valve seat. The unilateral retention of the flat armature at the tilt edge assures the unequivocal upward and downward movement of the flat armature.
Abstract: A firing turret which can be oriented about its axis, permitting flat-trajectory or curved-trajectory firing of artillery projectiles. It includes a disc whose central portion includes an opening in the interior of which the cradle of the weapon can pivot; the disc is free to turn within a circular opening provided in the lateral wall of the turret. A turret of this kind may be used to equip an automotive or trailed vehicle.
Abstract: A method of varying the phase spacing of sequential ignition pulses emitted by an ignition pulse transducer and an apparatus for performing the method are proposed, in which with the aid of a phase control circuit a corrected ignition control pulse train of average frequency is formed on the basis of an actual ignition control pulse train. The corrected pulse train being held constant so long as a given phase difference is maintained between the two control pulse trains. As a result, brief rpm fluctuations, which in an rpm range in the vicinity of idling rpm are perceived as jerking, are compensated for. When there are changes in rpm which cause larger phase deviations, the corrected ignition control pulse train is synchronized with the actual ignition control pulse train.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump is disclosed in which the minimum injection quantity or idling rpm is determined by an arbitrarily adjustable stop. This stop is adjusted via a heatable bimetallic spiral, which acts counter to a spiral spring for the purpose of force compensation.

Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines having an injection time adjuster functioning hydraulically is proposed. The adjustment characteristic of the injection time is determined by permitting a discharge of a partial quantity of fuel, this quantity being controllable by means of a relief channel during the relative movement between the adjusting piston and the work cylinder receiving this adjusting piston.
Abstract: A diaphragm pressure regulator is proposed which serves to regulate a fluid pressure in a system having fluid flowing through it, and in particular to relate the fuel pressure in a fuel injection system. The diaphragm pressure regulator includes a valve diaphragm, which cooperates with a valve seat. The valve diaphragm separates a spring chamber having a system pressure spring from a system pressure chamber, into which the valve seat, which is axially displaceable and is supported in an axial bearing point, protrudes and which communicates with the fluid to be regulated. The end of the valve seat remote from the valve diaphragm is embodied as a valve plate and protrudes into a collection chamber, in which it opens a sealing seat toward a return flow line to a greater or lesser extent. A closing pressure spring engages the valve plate and urges the valve seat in the direction of the valve diaphragm.
