    Abstract: A hydraulic main brake cylinder is proposed, in the housing of which at least one part of the switching members of an anti-locking apparatus is integrated. The switching members are either plunger pistons or restoring pistons or a combination of the two, which are triggered by multiple-position valves. In this manner, not only is the structural expense very low, but additional advantages are also attained in terms of safety. The hydraulic main brake cylinder is particularly well suited to application in the brake system of passenger vehicles and lightweight trucks.

    Abstract: The fuel-air mixture of an engine in a motor vehicle is controlled on the basis of a signal related to the fluctuations in the cyclic variations of the average combustion chamber pressure. This signal is derived indirectly from a sensor which monitors the rotational speed of engine members, e.g. the crankshaft. In order to provide closed-loop control, there is provided a reference value which is adapted continuously to changing engine speed. In addition, a correction of the reference signal is made to account for varying degrees of damping induced by changing inertial masses coupled to the engine, in particular the elements of the transmission connected between the engine and the vehicle. The correction for damping is made on the basis of signals related to the prevailing gear ratio either by direct indication of the gearshift lever position or by measuring the rotational speeds of the input and output shafts of the transmission.

    Abstract: A hydraulic brake force amplifier for multiple-circuit brake systems provided with a control valve which is actuated by the brake pedal via a travel-limiting spring. Disposed parallel to the control valve is a main cylinder, which is actuatable by the brake pedal either in accordance with pressure or when there is a failure of the pressure supply. In order that the travel path of the pedal will not be unnecessarily long when the pressure supply is intact, an arresting piston member is used, which limits the stroke of the control valve. The arresting piston member is combined with means which, upon failure of the pressure supply, permit its use as a further main cylinder piston. In this manner, a compact and lightweight structure of the brake force amplifier is possible. The brake force amplifier is preferably used in passenger vehicles.

The purpose of the device is to provide air flow rate measurement which is as error-free as possible, even when the aspirated air temperature is fluctuating rapidly. An identically embodied suspension and fastening of the individual hot wires is given as an example for the spatial disposition of the individual hot wires in the air intake tube.

A second fast-responding temperature-dependent resistor, which is disposed in the manifold and supplied with a very small current so that its resistance is essentially a function of the air temperature, provides an air temperature signal which is amplified and/or differentiated and supplied to the controller as a precise correction signal for the bridge diagonal voltage signal which is also an input signal to the controller, so that the current output of the controller is an accurate measure of the air flow.
