    Abstract: An anti-skid brake system and anti-drive-slip system having a master cylinder, at least one inherently safe closed brake circuit which includes anti-skid valves and wheel brakes, a booster cylinder associated with the master cylinder and in which a booster piston is displaceable, a pressure supply apparatus, a valve connected thereto, which is actuatable by means of a brake pedal for controlling brake pressures. A locking piston cylinder connected to the control valve, a sensing piston, which is coupled to the brake pedal and which passes into the locking piston cylinder, and a change-over valve assembly. This change-over valve assembly is embodied such that for normal braking operation, it connects the booster cylinder with the control valve. If there is a danger of skidding, or wheel lock, this change-over valve assembly disconnects the booster cylinder from the control valve and connects it to a return line in order to relieve pressure and reduce the braking pressure.

    Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve is proposed, which serves in particular to inject fuel into the intake tube of internal combustion engines operating with fuel injection systems. The fuel injection valve includes a valve housing, a core, a magnetic coil and a cylindrical armature which is connected via a rod-like connecting part having a smaller cross section than the armature with a valve closing member embodied in the form of a ball. The valve closing member cooperates with a valve seat provided in a valve seat body. The radial guidance of the armature is effected by a narrow annular disk. The valve closing member is radially guided only by the valve seat in its closed position and by a stop in its open position. Downstream of the valve seat fuel guide bores lead into a preparation bore in the form of a blind bore, which has a diameter of approximately 1 mm.

    Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines which has a valve needle loaded in the closing direction and is radially guided and supported in an axially displaceable manner within a nozzle body. The movement of the valve needle is effected in the opening and closing directions in a selectively variable manner, a spring-loaded supplementary mass which performs a dual function being disposed in the nozzle interior. In the opening direction of the valve needle, the supplementary mass is displaced along with the valve needle, while in the closing direction the two elements are separated. The supplementary mass influences the movement of the valve needle both inertially, as the result of its mass, and by effecting a speed-dependent damping, as the result of the positive displacement of a fluid from damping chambers, the whole being adapted to a constant or variable throttle disposed in the fuel inlet conduit.

The electromagnet includes an inner core of soft-magnetic material, which is surrounded by a magnetic coil. An outer core at least partly surrounds the magnetic coil and has an outer pole located in the same plane as an inner pole of the inner core. On one side of the magnetic coil, between the inner core and the outer core, there is a first annularly embodied and radially magnetized permanent magnet, and on the other side of the magnetic coil there is a second annularly embodied and radially magnetized permanent magnet. Facing the poles, there is an armature, which at one end is joined to a valve needle that has a valve body cooperating with a valve seat, and on its other end forms a first working air gap with the outer pole and a second working air gap with the inner pole.

    Abstract: A brake valve for feeding selectably different levels of fluid pressure into at least one pressure receiver, which is a component of a vehicle brake system. The brake valve includes a first, normally open valve having a ball and a second valve, which is normally closed by a closing spring and which likewise has a ball. The latter ball is pressed by pressure provided by a pressure supply apparatus against a ball seat. A compensation piston acted upon by this pressure is also provided, which presses against the ball in the opening direction of the second valve. Because of the compensation piston, the second valve is easily opened, so that brake pressure can be sensitively controlled.

The transmitting member in the travel simulator device is a travel simulator spring enabling a predetermined idle pedal travel, and this spring responds whenever, in response to an arbitrarily generated disruption signal, a lockable storage element assumes its other position and mechanically engages a transmitting member in the chain from brake pedal actuation to brake valve slide actuation in an arresting manner. Upon reaching a predetermined amount of biasing, as a result of the further compression of the travel simulator spring, the opening of the brake valve then takes place abruptly, with a corresponding increase in brake pressure and a corresponding increase in vehicle deceleration.

The adjusting device includes a housing having an electric motor which via a worm gear rotates a gear wheel. The spindle is joined to an actuating sleeve and on one end has struts extending in the axial direction, which protrude into guide grooves of a short tubular portion of the bottom part of the housing and are displaceable therein in order to secure the spindle against rotation. A feeler is slidably disposed in the actuating sleeve and when the stop lever of the control device is in contact with the feeler, the feeler closes switch contacts which communicate via wiper fingers with contact paths, which are disposed on a protuberance which extends into the spindle.

    Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engines in which beyond a predetermined remaining stroke during the supply stroke of the pump piston, a relief conduit is opened via a control edge. The same control edge closes the relief conduit once again during the intake stroke. During the subsequent effective intake stroke, the quantity of fuel to be injected upon the following compression stroke is metered by means of the electrically actuatable valve. The magnetic valve here is already opened before the closure of the relief conduit by the control edge, so that in the opening phase of the relief conduit, the pump work chamber of the fuel injection apparatus is flushed. In this manner, precise metering of the quantity of fuel to be injected is attained.
