Abstract: A flow rate meter which serves to measure a quantity of air aspirated by an internal combustion engine via an air intake tube. The flow rate meter includes a housing, in which a flow conduit having a measuring body is disposed, the measuring body being pivotable about a bearing shaft in accordance with the flow of the medium counter to a restoring force and being joined via at least one strut to a damping body, which in the form of a movable wall defines a damping chamber with respect to the flow conduit. A retaining groove is embodied in the damping chamber wall and is form-fittingly engaged by a retaining section of an elastic stop body. A stop section of the stop body protrudes into the damping chamber and limits the movement of the damping body.

Abstract: The injection pump includes a pump cylinder, a pump piston moving into it and a hydraulic device for adjusting the instant of injection. The adjusting device has an adjusting cylinder, which is directed parallel to the pump cylinder and is accommodated in the housing of the injection pump, and adjusting piston and a restoring spring and adjusts a control sleeve, which opens the pump piston provided with at least one control recess in the longitudinal direction of the pump piston. This orientation and disposition of the adjusting cylinder effects a space-saving and inexpensive design of the injection pump and improves the precision of adjustment. The adjusting piston and the control sleeve may be directed coaxially and embodied as a single component, as a result of which a further space saving and increase in adjustment precision are attained.

Abstract: A method for converting a movement into an analog or digital variable, in particular into an electrical voltage, and an apparatus for performing the method are proposed. The apparatus includes at least one measuring spring element having windings and fabricated of electrically conductive material, which is disposed together with a supplementary spring element of identical structure and serving as a supplementary resistor in a bridge branch of a carrier-frequency measurement bridge. A deformation of the measuring spring element by a movement causes a change in the spacing between windings and thus causes a change in the inductive resistance of the measuring spring element which serves as a standard for the movement.
Abstract: An apparatus is proposed which serves to control the position of a throttle device disposed in the intake tube of an internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes a lever, which is joined to a shaft of the throttle device and has both a stop screw arranged to cooperate with a stop and an adjusting screw arranged to cooperate with a feeler pin. The feeler pin traces the position of a control body provided with a cam track and the control body can be displaced to a variable extent in a guide bore by means of an expansion element and thereby bring about a variably large rotation of the throttle device and hence a variably large opening of the cross section for the aspirated air during engine idling in the warm-up phase.
Abstract: The invention refers to an arrangement for underground driving of pipe trains composed of individual pipe lengths of non-man-sized diameters. The arrangement works with a pressing unit driving the pipe trains from driving pits. The soil in face of the arrangement is excavated by means of a scraper. Conveyors transport the excavated waste soil back into the driving pit. The walls of massive material of the pits, which will serve as inspection pits later-on in the pipe trains, when driving are the walls of the driving pits, while the driving unit is propped-up on the wall of the respective driving pit used as a driving pit. The wall of the driving pit has a preferably circular shape and is composed of concrete rings. Above the driving pit a container is arranged with an opening in the bottom through which the driving unit can be hoisted down into the driving pit. In the container all working tools and appliances for operating the driving unit are permanently housed ready for use.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump is proposed for internal combustion engines having a control slide displaceable on the pump piston. The control slide cooperates with an oblique groove on a pump piston. The oblique groove is arranged to communicate via a conduit with a pump work chamber. The pump piston is rotatable and has a longitudinal groove of predetermined length on its jacket surface, which groove is adapted to communicate with the oblique groove and with its end remote from the pump work chamber determines the supply onset of the pump by plunging into the control slide.
Abstract: A device is proposed for monitoring the function of electronic equipment, in particular equipment controlled by microprocessors. In such devices, the regular occurrence of control pulses is monitored in that a capacitor which can be charged or discharged in accordance with the control pulses is connected to a threshold stage, which in the case of a persistent absence of control pulses generates a signal having a reset phase of predetermined duration and an active phase also of predetermined duration for the equipment in a periodic sequence. The durations, of the reset phase and the active phase are freely selectable independently of one another, the duration of the active phase preferably being substantially shorter than that of the reset phase.
Abstract: A tractor transmission wherein an engine output is transmitted through a clutch mechanism to a primary change speed mechanism, and a clutch housing and a first transmission case are removably connected to each other. The first transmission case includes a space in a forward portion thereof to accommodate a high speed and low speed switching mechanism and a forward and backward switching mechanism, interchangeable with each other, to be attached to a rear wall of the clutch housing.
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines having a cartridge filter provided with two groups of longitudinal grooves, disposed in a fuel conduit one of which groups of longitudinal grooves originates at one end of the filter while the other group originates at the opposite end of the filter. All longitudinal grooves terminate in a central section of the filter. The fuel conduit and the reduced diameter of the central section of the filter define an annular slit. The longitudinal grooves have a cross-section decreasing over the extent thereof to their termini, so that any excess and harmful amounts of fuel in the filter can be decreased, while maintaining the same external diameter of the filter for purposes of filter replacement in existing fuel injection nozzles.

Abstract: An apparatus for injecting fuel into combustion chambers, in particular of self-igniting internal combustion engines, is proposed, in which a fuel injection nozzle generates an aimed fuel spray and in which an air guide device and a heating device are provided. The fuel being injected is accompanied by an air flow which passes the heating device. The heating device has at least two heating elements of different effectiveness, of which at least one element serves for rapid heating and the other element is provided for continuous use.

Abstract: Sterile packages are produced which have a shaped depression and a closure sheet sealed onto this depression. In order to furnish sterile inner surfaces for the packages, two tubes of packaging material each of which have a sterile inner surface are slit lengthwise and opened out into flat strips in order to form the depressions and the closure strip. Depressions are produced in one strip, which is underlaid with a reinforcing strip; thereafter the depressions are filled and sealed with the closure strip, which has one layer comprising the strip made from the other tube and another layer from another strip. The sterile surfaces of the strips are arranged so that they face one another.
Abstract: A hydraulic brake booster including main cylinders operative relative to a pedal stroke by which a sufficient pedal stroke is still available in the event of a failure in the pressure supply so that the brakes can be actuated by the pedal stroke and furthermore flooring of the brake pedal is avoided in the event of failure of the fluid medium power supply.
Abstract: A wheeled carriage mechanism is proposed for rendering movable large, heavy, waste containers which are otherwise immovable. The wheel carriage includes channel-like frames having wheel sets mountable on trunnions provided on the receptacle sides, the container being elevated into position off the ground and onto the wheel sets by a lever adapted to cooperate with the wheel carriage. A stabilizer bar of adjustable length is provided to be fitted between one of the wheel carriages and the receptacle so as to lock the container and prevent tipping or instability.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump is proposed, which is provided with a hydraulically operating injection adjuster device which is acted upon by a pressure which is determined by the feed pressure of a feed pump driven in synchronism with the fuel injection pump and by the control behavior of a pressure control valve. The pressure control valve has a piston controlling a relief line, and the piston is controllable by means of the pressure to be fed in, counter to the restoring force of a spring, and counter to a pressure controlled via a pressure maintenance valve and a switchable relief valve disposed parallel thereto. The valve is also connected to a device for adjusting the biasing of an idling spring of the governor of the fuel injection pump. With the increasing of the set pressure for the injection adjusting device upon closure of the valve, the biasing of the idling spring and thereby the idling rpm are both increased whenever the instant of injection is shifted toward "early" during starting and warmup.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines having an arbitrarily actuatable adjustment lever, the movement of which lever is fed as a set-point variable to an rpm governor for the purpose of fuel metering. Between the arbitrary adjustment and its intervention with the rpm governor, for example on the governor spring, there is a coupling device which has a nonlinear relationship between the arbitrary adjustment and the degree of intervention with the rpm governor. This coupling device for generating the nonlinear relationship has a unilateral lever supported in a stationary manner and having an oblong slot in its longitudinal axis, in which slot a guide element, attached to an adjusting device such as an auxiliary adjusting lever to arranged to slide. The arbitrary adjustment engages the adjusting device, and the lever acts upon the rpm governor.
Abstract: A multiple-coordinate scanner having regulated scanning force for scanning objects, and preferably for length- and gear-measuring machines, is disclosed. The scanner detects the scanning force via a multiple-coodinate force measuring device and uses it to regulate the scanning force, in that corresponding straight-line guides in the multiple-coordinate scanner are deflected by drive units such that the resultant measuring force corresponds to a predetermined magnitude, regardless of the direction and magnitude of the multiple-coordinate scanner deflection.
Abstract: An apparatus is proposed which serves to control the quantity of exhaust gas recirculated from the exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine to its intake side. The apparatus includes a pneumatic final control element having a diaphragm defining a work chamber, the diaphragm arranged to actuate a valve closing member of an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. Via a control pressure line, a flow line leading to the atmosphere and a connecting line leading to the intake tube downstream of a throttle valve are connected to the work chamber. A check valve opening toward the intake tube, a reservoir and a throttle restriction are disposed in the connecting line. A bypass line having a bypass valve bypasses the throttle restriction.
Abstract: An internal combustion engine is provided with an ion current sensor in the exhaust conduit. The sensor may be simply a spark plug across which is applied the vehicle battery voltage. The operation of the engine at various values of mixture composition yields characteristic curves for the ion current and for the fluctuations in the ion current as a function of the air number. These characteristic data are used to provide set point values against which the prevailing ion current is compared. If a set point value is exceeded, the fuel-air mixture is adjusted accordingly by an integral controller.
