  • Patent number: 6098898
Abstract: A master control system for conserving water used by sprinkler systems within a predetermined geographical region includes a plurality of sprinkler systems each of which is assigned an identifying indicia. A transmitting station is arranged for transmitting control signals receivable at any location within the geographical region. A valve connects each sprinkler system to a water source for selectively feeding water to an associated sprinkler system when the valve is open and for precluding water from being fed to the associated sprinkler system when the valve is closed. A receiver is provided for each sprinkler system within the region connected to an associated valve for receiving the control signals and generating a disabling signal for causing only said valves for the sprinkler systems assigned said identifying indicia to open independently of their status.

  • Patent number: 6071025
Abstract: A printer system includes a printer on which color and monochromatic print cartridges are mounted, and a personal computer to output bit map data to the printer. The kinds of these ink cartridges are memorized as status information within a RAM so that the personal computer can detect a cartridge mounted position based on the status information. In the case that the color and/or monochromatic print cartridge is mounted incorrect, the personal computer detects an amount of a difference from a normal mount position to cause print data to shift depending upon the difference, thus creating bit map data.

  • Patent number: 6064538
Abstract: A biasing/erasing oscillator includes a series circuit formed by an entire-width erasing head, a linear record erasing head and an inductor. The series circuit is connected in parallel with an oscillating capacitor to form an LC resonant circuit. The LC resonant circuit is connected to a base of a transistor through a direct current blocking capacitor. The transistor has an emitter is connected to a series junction point, for example, between a sound erasing head and the inductor. A collector of the transistor is supplied with a bias voltage, while the transistor base is supplied with a bias current through a bias resistor.
