  • Patent number: 6033160
Abstract: A countersinking and deburring tool for deburring, chamfering, and countersinking of partially and fully penetrating holes with a rotationally actuated housing and at least one blade which can move within a housing shaft and perpendicular to the rotational axis of the housing, provides that, depending on the direction of rotation of the drive, the blade is withdrawn into the housing shaft or extended out of the housing shaft (reverser operation), and the displacement drive for the blade consists of a rocker which is mounted so that it can rotate in the housing and is rotationally actuated, which acts on the blade with at least one actuation pin. According to the invention the rocker's rotary actuator consists of at least one centrifugal weight arranged in the housing so that it can move diametrically, whose diametric displacement in the housing is converted into a rotational motion on the rocker through a form-fit guide.

  • Patent number: 6034728
Abstract: A device that adds freeze-frame capability to camcorders or video cameras so that they can be used as a digital snapshot cameras. The freeze-frame adapter is designed as an add-on module which connects to the battery receptacle of the video camera or camcorder. The snapshot module contains both the freeze-frame electronics and the battery and replaces the battery of the camcorder. The battery provides power to both the camcorder and the photo adapter module. No modifications of the camcorder are required. The video signal used as the source of images for the freeze-frame adapter is derived from the Audio-Video output of the camcorder. The unit is always on and ready for use whenever the camcorder is on. Still images can be acquired simultaneously to video. The viewfinder of the camcorder also operates as the viewfinder in the snap-shot mode. The image is captured by pressing a shutter button on the freeze-frame adapter. Images can be acquired while the camcorder is filming.

  • Patent number: 6027435
Abstract: A freestanding training bag includes a pedestal having a lower surface on which the pedestal rests during normal use and an upper surface spaced above the lower surface. The pedestal defines a substantially vertical axis extending through a general central region of the pedestal and has a recess in the upper surface substantially symmetrically aligned with the vertical axis and extends from the upper surface at least partially towards the lower surface. A generally vertical post has a resilient portion in the region of the lower end of the vertical post extending into the recess and supported on the pedestal at a point below the upper surface. The post is normally substantially vertically aligned with the vertical axis prior to being struck by the user. A striking pad surrounds the post for being struck by the user. The recess serves as a limit stop to prevent excessive deflection of the post from the vertical deflection before the post bounces back after being struck by the user.

  • Patent number: 6006929
Abstract: A multi-directional high visibility display for exhibiting and merchandising products in a retail establishment includes an elongate back or rear wall and attachment elements, such as clips, for attaching the rear wall of the display to a support structure in a retail establishment. One or more lateral panels are attached to the rear wall and project forwardly thereof to form a surface having surface portions facing in at least two directions which are angularly displaced in relation to an imaginary axis substantially parallel to the length direction of the rear wall. Clip strips can be attached to the lateral panels for removably attaching products on the display. Placement of products on different surface portions renders the products highly visible to people at different vantage points in the retail establishment. The display may be formed of a blank of cardboard or other flexible sheet material or from spaced formed wire frames joined to each other by means of straight rods.

  • Patent number: 5996216
Abstract: A filament applicator includes a frame which defines a machine axis through which an elongate element may be guided at an application station at which filaments are to be applied to or introduce into the elongate element, such as an optical cable. A plurality of chambers are provided, each of which defines a chamber axis substantially parallel to the machine axis and mounted on the frame for rotation about the machine axis. Each chamber is substantially closed and has a panel at an axial end of the chamber which is movable between an open position for inserting and removing a wound package of filament material within the chamber and closed position for substantially sealing the chamber and preventing air turbulence within the chamber upon rotation about the machine axis. • Patent number: 5979127
Abstract: An earthquake-proof object support device comprising, a sphere of a material having strength high enough to support an object to be supported, and a support frame holding said sphere for supporting said object. At least three devices of the present invention are secured to the bottom of an object to be supported and placed on a flat floor. The devices are attached as legs to a large-scaled computer, for instance and placed on the floor of an office building. The object supported by the devices of the present invention stays at its initial position in accordance with the law of inertia when an earthquake occurs, and horizontal motions of the floor of the building are absorbed by the devices of the present invention. A vertical seismic force is transmitted to the supported object but the object is stably held horizontally as is the case with an object in a vertically moving elevator.
