Abstract: Disclosed is a mutually-assisted proximity informer system and method with wireless devices, by which a message contained in a message unit is received/transmitted between a plurality of wireless devices with a relay process. An original message unit of a frame format embedded with an ID, a message/status and a relay sequence is generated and issued by one of the plurality of wireless devices and is then received and retransmitted voluntarily one by one with others of the plurality of wireless devices until a termination of the relay process of the message unit, in which the relay sequence is constantly incremented before the termination of the relay process for the delivery of the message. A simple message delivery to a longer distance far away is obtained by means of wireless devices even of a short or a limited communication range. Encryption for security and reliability and establishment of a communication tunnel are also provided by specific implantation into the message unit and operations.
Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor apparatus using a board frame. A wiring board region of the frame includes an island on which a semiconductor device is mounted. A marginal region of the frame surrounds the wiring board region. A frame region is located around the marginal region. A support region extends between the wiring board region and the frame region to connect the wiring board region and frame region together through the support region. The marginal region is removed from the board frame and then put back to its original position, while maintaining the wiring board region connected to the frame region through the support region. Then, the device is mounted onto the island. Next, transfer-molding is performed on the device using a die set that includes a gate through which a thermosetting resin is guided into a cavity. Then, the marginal region is removed completely from the board frame.

Abstract: A pet collar buckle structure comprised of a plastic male member and female member. The male member consists of a stepped round face at its front end, an outer circular surface protruding from the round surface and, furthermore, a lateral notch formed in the two sides of the round face. The female member has an interior space between a surface section and two elastic clips, each elastic clip having a narrow slot formed along the outer side as well as a convex section and a concave section contiguously articulated along the inner side. As such, the male member becomes tightly ensconced following insertion into the female member, but when the male member and the female member are subjected to a certain pulling force, the male member is safely released without dead angle occurrence from the trailing end and bottom surface of the female member.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a transferring-and-feeding unit (103) including a transfer belt (110). The transferring-and-feeding unit (103) is supported by a support frame (115) swingable in the direction away from image forming portions (100) including photosensitive bodies (107). The fixing unit (104) includes release members (121) that bring a heat roller (117) and the pressure roller (118) to stop pressing the recording medium. As the support frame (115) swings, the transfer belt (110) separates from the photosensitive bodies (107), and the heat roller (117) and the pressure roller (118) stop pressing the recording medium, with the result that the recording medium can easily removed from the image forming apparatus.

Abstract: A method for protecting a phase lock loop (PLL) in an optical system is disclosed. The disclosed method will determine whether the currently reading data is erroneous and then maintain the frequency currently locked by the PLL circuit when the waveform lengths of the EFM signal in a detecting window contain at least one waveform length longer than 11T and at least one waveform length shorter than 3T. Otherwise, the PLL circuit will adjust the locked frequency according to the waveform length of the detected EFM signal so that the system clock frequency can be adjusted based on the locked one. In addition, when the optical system seeks tracks for reading required data under a constant angular velocity (CAV) modulation mode, the PLL circuit will increase the locked frequency gradually as the pick-up head moves towards the outer tracks of the optical disc, and decrease the locked frequency gradually as the pick-up head moves towards the inner tracks of the optical disc.
Abstract: A control circuit is used in an apparatus such as a printer in order to detect status and conditions of the apparatus. The control circuit includes a main control board and a plurality of sensor boards. The sensor boards are connected in cascade to define a signal path that run through the plurality of sensor boards. Each sensor board is connected to a corresponding sensor that detects a status or condition in the apparatus, and provides a sensor output of the corresponding sensor to the signal path. When the main control board provides an activation signal to the first one of the plurality of sensor boards, each sensor board provides the corresponding sensor output onto the signal path at a predetermined timing. The sensor boards provide their sensor outputs in the order in which their are cascaded. The main control board receives the sensor output at the predetermined timing, the sensor output signal being output in an order in which the plurality of sensors are connected in cascade.

Abstract: A slot array antenna comprises a slot array antenna main body (111) and a dielectric cover (116). The slot array antenna main body (111) has a slot plate (113). A main beam (115) having radiation directivity, extending in a direction inclined a tilt angle ? alone from a direction normal to a plane P1 of the slot plate (113) is set to the slot array antenna main body (111). The dielectric cover (116) has an inclination angle ? formed by an outer plane P3 and an inner plane P4 and is comprised of a dielectric material having a refractive index n. The inner plane P4 of the dielectric cover (116) is provided so as to oppose to the slot plate (113) of the slot array antenna main body (111). Thus, the main beam (115) having the radiation directivity is transmitted through and refracted by the dielectric cover (116), so that the tilt angle ? is corrected to allow the main beam to extend in a direction orthogonal to the outer plane P3 of the dielectric cover (116).

Abstract: A fast gamma correction method for an image reading apparatus is proposed. The original intervals for normalized output data are combined to merged intervals fewer in number and the original color correction function is replaced by a fitting function in the merged intervals. For an input normalized data, the corresponding merged interval is found and a fitting function associated with the merged interval is invoked to find the corresponding normalized and corrected data.
