  • Patent number: 8053913
Abstract: A physical energy-converting rotor has a rotor body and multiple weights. When the rotor body is rotated, an inner virtual orbit and an outer virtual orbit are formed and the weights are rotated. The weights are moved back and forth between the inner and outer virtual orbits to form non-balances to keep the rotor body rotating. The physical energy-converting rotor may operate alone, or may cooperate with non-pollution generators such as wind generators and water generators to enhance power-generating effect.

  • Patent number: 8053791
Abstract: A structure of light-emitting diode (LED) dies having an AC loop (a structure of AC LED dies), which is formed with at least one unit of AC LED micro-dies disposed on a chip. The unit of AC LED micro-dies comprises two LED micro-dies arranged in mutually reverse orientations and connected with each other in parallel, to which an AC power supply may be applied so that the LED unit may continuously emit light in response to a positive-half wave voltage and a negative-half wave voltage in the AC power supply. Since each AC LED micro-die is operated forwardly, the structure of AC LED dies also provides protection from electrical static charge (ESD) and may operate under a high voltage.

  • Patent number: 8050560
Abstract: A distributed resources sharing method using weighting factors of sub-domains in an optical network includes connecting working paths to an optical network according to a request of a subscriber, and calculating weighting factors for measurement of concentration of the sub-domains including the working paths by using information on connected working paths. The method also includes setting up the backup paths by using the weighting factors, and allocating resources in response to connection request at the time of setting up the backup path and sharing the allocated resources. With this method, it is possible to prevent a waste of idle resources caused from concentration of allocated resources. In addition, since the information of the idle resources in the network can be sensed at the time of selecting the backup paths by using a weight factor, the shared resources can be distributed, thereby maximizing efficiency of the resources.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for receiving coded signals with the aid of CSI are provided. The method comprises: performing channel estimation to obtain a CFR estimation vector; computing a squared magnitude of the CFR estimation vector, and obtaining a normalization factor ? by averaging the squared magnitudes of CFR estimations on all N subcarriers; finding a norm-shift operand m satisfying the condition that ?0=2m is a power of 2 number closest to the normalization factor ?; performing a CSI-aided one-tap channel equalization on an output signal vector from a DFT processor by using the norm-shift operand m; performing constellation demapping; and performing channel decoding. The method further comprises obtaining a weighting factor vector by right shifting m bits of the squared magnitude of the CFR estimation vector so that the constellation demapping can use the weighted decision boundary values in case that its input signal is sensitive to both amplitude and phase.

  • Patent number: 8047057
Abstract: An output mode switching apparatus including a power unit, a hammering unit, an output shaft, a housing, and a shifting member is provided. The hammering unit includes a gasket cup, a switching ring, a spring member, a hammering seat, and a main shaft. When the power unit is not in operation, the switching ring is restricted so as to be positioned against and secured to the gasket cup. When the mains shaft is driven by the power unit to rotate, the hammering seat is carried to rotate and is applied with a restriction for restricting the hammering seat from axial movement, thus configuring an output mode of electric drill. When the shifting member is turned, the restriction applied to the hammering seat is released. The hammering blocks repetitively hammers the protrusion blocks and axially returns back to the original position, thus configuring an impact output mode.
