Abstract: A wireless multicasting service method using a relayed transmission scheme is provided. In the wireless multicasting service method, a mobile node moves from a first wireless network to a second wireless network. Then, the mobile node performs a new joining request to a mobile multicast agent managing a multicasting service in the second wireless network. If the mobile node receives a joining approval for the new joining request, the mobile node performs a secession request to a previous mobile multicast agent managing a multicasting service in the first wireless network.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for controlling direct memory access. In the method, data to be transmitted are read and stored in response to a direct memory access controller (DMAC) operation request, and a portion of the data corresponding to an initial burst size is first transmitted to a data destination. After resetting a burst size according to a state of the data destination, another portion of the data corresponding to the reset burst size is second-transmitted to the data destination. If all the data are not transmitted through the first-transmission and the second-transmission, the second-transmission is repeated until all the data are transmitted. If all the data are transmitted through the first-transmission and the second-transmission, an interrupt signal is generated. Therefore, interrupt signals can be less generated, and thus the processor can access an external memory less frequently, thereby increasing system performance.

Abstract: Provided are a wavelength conversion apparatus in a Time Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network (TDM-PON) system based on a Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system, and an optical transmission method using the wavelength conversion apparatus. Each subscriber does not need to have its own wavelength but transmits an uplink signal using a wavelength band used in the TDM-PON system and routs optical network unit (ONU) uplink signals belonging to the same ONU to a wavelength conversion apparatus positioned in a subscriber area. The wavelength conversion apparatus converts the ONU uplink signals into wavelengths and uplinks the wavelengths of an optical line terminal (OLT) of a central office (CO) so as to enable a WDM transmission. Thus, a method of constituting a wavelength conversion apparatus and a remote node (RN) using the wavelength conversion apparatus can be suggested to realize a hybrid-PON system into which TDM-PON system and WDM systems are combined.

Abstract: A method for in-situ aberration measurement in an optical imaging system of lithographic tools. According to the method, a reticle pattern is imaged to form an imaged pattern by transmitting beams through a reticle via the optical imaging system. The imaged reticle pattern is shaped to have plural groups of imaged linewidths. The plural groups of imaged linewidths are measured using either of an image sensor, a CD-SEM and a microscope by modifying the intensity distribution at an exit pupil plane of the optical imaging system. The asymmetry and ununiformity of the imaged linewidths are calculated. Aberrations of the optical imaging system are calculated.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a micro power converter of a step-up and step-down type without requiring more than two semiconductor switches, without increasing the size of a semiconductor chip, and without degrading efficiency. A micro power converter comprises a micro transformer composed of a planar transformer having a structure including a conductor wound on and through a planar magnetic core, and a semiconductor chip including semiconductor switches S1, S2, and a control circuit for controlling the switches. By constructing a flyback transformer using a micro transformer composed of a planar transformer, a micro power converter of a step-up and step-down type is provided having two semiconductor switches and an overall size comparable to a conventional micro power converter.
Abstract: Provided is an LED lamp for AC power. The LED lamp for the AC power can replace a related art halogen lamp. Since the bottom of an LED substrate for AC power is allowed to directly contact an inner upper surface serving as a substrate base of a main body with a built-in heatsink where heatsink pins are formed in an entire outer peripheral surface, so that heatsink operation of heat generated while the LED for the AC power operates is maximized. A reflection funnel whose inner surface is entirely chrome-deposited extends on the upper end of the main body with the built-in heatsink to reflect light while the LED for the AC power is lit, so that the intensity of illumination can be enhanced.
