Abstract: An arrangement of trunk clusters and a method for interconnecting trunk clusters wherein the interconnection method has no single point of failure, the bandwidth between trunk clusters is not limited by the throughput of a single switch, and faults are contained within each trunk cluster. A trunked interconnection structure is provided between trunk clusters. Each switch of a trunk cluster has a logical port connected to a trunked port. The trunked port or trunk port provides a physical connection to each trunk switch of another trunk cluster. Each trunk switch of the another trunk cluster has a logical port connected to a trunked port which in turn has physical connections to each switch of the first trunk cluster. Trunked interconnect isolates faults to a single trunk cluster and there is no single point of failure and the total throughput is not limited to any single switches capacity. This always provides a single loop free path from one trunk cluster to the other or others.
Abstract: A process for manufacturing head surfaces of dies cooperating with cylindrical press rolls for rotary presses. To avoid the high Hertzian stresses occurring dies for rotary presses during the interaction of the die head and the press roll, the present invention provides for designing instantaneous surface lines of the press roll extending through the instantaneous contact points between the head surface of the die head and the press roll under the action of the press roll on the die head as a set of continuously consecutive contact lines on the head surface of the die head by a tool.
Abstract: A detection system with a measuring head, which has a mount for at least one interchangeable sensor, with a component, which is located at the sensor and receives information on the sensor and transmits same to a detection means at the measuring head. Wireless transmission of the sensor information to the measuring head is provided wherein the component is a passive transponder that can be read by supplying external energy in a wireless manner. The transducer includes a data code carrier, in which the sensor information is stored. The detection means has means for supplying the external energy and means for receiving the sensor information.
Abstract: A molded product is thermally bonded mutually with another molded product by disposing the resistance heating element (20) to the bonding face of product molded with the thermoplastic resin, making the bonding electrode (10) contact the resistance heating element (20) and by impressing the voltage for its heat generation. The heat generation temperature of the resistance heating element (20) at the voltage impressed portion (21) is suppressed to the level lower than the fusion temperature of resin by blowing the cooling gas toward the voltage impressed portion (21) from a vent hole (11) provided on the bonding electrode (10).
Abstract: A sleeve nut includes a nut (1) and a screw like sleeve (2) screwed into that nut, thereby fixing the sleeve nut to a component (7) of e.g. an aircraft, a car or the like. Between the component (7) and the nut (1) a socle (3) is inserted having at least one upright tongue (22). This socle (3) is locked against rotation with respect to the component (7). Furthermore the nut (1) is positively locked against rotation at the socle (3) by flats (21) or edges there-between respectively with the tongue (22) of the socle (3).
Abstract: A card dispensing cassette includes a housing in which cards are stacked. A dispense outlet is provided in the housing through which cards are laterally dispensed from the cassette. A card retainer, cooperating with the dispense outlet, is slidably mounted to the cassette for substantially lateral movement between a closed position in which cards cannot be dispensed and an open position in which cards can be dispensed. The card retainer has a retaining lip which engages any cards protruding through the dispense outlet when the card retainer moves to its closed position so as to return those cards into the cassette.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of cooling and lubricating a metal-cutting rotating tool with a geometrically defined cutting element and/or the workpiece in the cutting zone. A coolant-lubricant and a carrier gas are fed separately into a tool shaft, brought together inside the rotating working spindle as close as possible to the cutting zone and directed via integral feed ducts onto the cutting element and/or cutting zone. Also disclosed is a device for applying this method. The coolant-lubricant and carrier gas are each introduced into a coolant reservoir completely or partially filled with a porous filler where they are mixed; the mixture is then fed directly into the cutting zone.

Abstract: A fuse plug, in particular for terminal blocks in control, regulation and power supply systems, essentially comprising a housing, a fuse-element which is fused upon overshooting of a specific current intensity, contact elements and a display element. Reliable protection against surge voltages is provided. The device ensures that production can be automated with low costs by virtue of the housing (1) being formed from two flat holding halves (2, 3) that can be folded by means of a film hinge 4. The division of the housing is provided in the plane of the plug contacts (5, 6). The fuse-element (7), plug contacts (5, 6) and a display device (19) with a signalling element (15) are arranged in one holding half (2) of the housing (1).
Abstract: A LAN to ATM switch module includes a memory with an ATM port, a LAN port and a processor port. Each of port separately reading and writing information to/from the memory. An ATM interface is included for reading information from the ATM port and converting the information into an ATM format. The ATM interface also converts ATM format information to be delivered to the ATM port and written to the memory. A LAN interface reads information from the LAN port and converts the information into LAN format. The LAN interface also converts LAN information from a LAN packet channel bus to the LAN port, to be written to the memory. The switch module also includes a processor for reading information in the memory through the processor port. The processor determines the processing need for the information, the processor modifies the information in the memory according to the processing needed by writing to the memory through the processor port and controlling the ATM and LAN interfaces according to the processing needed.

Abstract: A flexible fiberglass mesh head screen with a cylindrical shape and sewn at the top and back with the bottom open to be placed over the wearer's head to protect the head and neck from insects. It is designed to be worn over a baseball style cap or hat. It attaches to the button on top of the baseball hat by an elastic strip sewn to the inside top of the head screen. This keeps the head screen firmly on the wearer's head.
Abstract: An integrated optical modulator of the Mach-Zehnder type has a waveguide which, for part of its length, is divided into two waveguide sections (11, 12) arranged logically in parallel. Incoming light is divided to pass along the two sections (11, 12) and is then recombined before leaving the modulator. Each waveguide section has a pair of electrodes (13, 14) and (14, 15) associated therewith to generate an electric field through which the respective waveguide section passes, though there may be a single electrode (14) between the two waveguide sections (11, 12) to serve as one electrode of each pair, with the other electrode of each pair commoned.
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a synthesis gas heat exchanger unit with one synthesis gas radiant cooler (1), two synthesis gas convection coolers (23), one crude gas-clean gas heat exchanger (4), one crude gas-inert gas heat exchanger (5), and one dust separator (11). These devices are preferably arranged vertically or slopingly. The crude gas heat exchangers (4, 5, 23) are designed as single-flue, double-flue or multiple-flue heat exchangers. They are elastically supported via claws (10) and are equipped with an electric heater (9). A soot blower system (13) is associated with each flue (4.1, 4.2) as well as (5.1, 5.2) and right hand flue and left hand flue (23.1, 23.2) at the crude gas inlet. Soot blowers (31) are likewise provided on the connection lines (2, 6), and mass flow controllers (7) are provided in the lower connection lines (6).
