Abstract: In a method for the thermal treatment of wastes (combustible, poorly combustible and incombustible), especially those which cannot be harmlessly dumped, air is preheated in a first regenerator (2) to a temperature of 800.degree. to 1200.degree. C. and fed through a first combustion chamber (7) to a melting vessel (6) into which wastes are dumped for thermal treatment. The flue gas from the melting vessel is fed through a second combustion chamber (7') to a second regenerator (2'). The two regenerators contain sections for thermal storage (3, 3'), for the adsorption (4, 4') of flue gas impurities and for the further treatment (5, 5') of the flue gas. The air and flue gas flow is reversible, i.e., air preheated in the second regenerator (2') is fed to the melting vessel (6) through the second combustion chamber (7'). The flue gas is fed through the first combustion chamber (7) to the first regenerator (2).
Abstract: The present invention resides in a motor-vehicle having a sliding door, wherein the sliding door is used as a front door of the motor-vehicle, and the sliding door has its front portion formed with an inclined configuration to match the shape of the front pillar, whereas upper, center and lower guide rollers are provided at the sliding door and upper, center and lower guide rails which serve to support these guide rollers are provided along the side panel, and wherein the upper guide rail is provided behind the lower guide rail and the upper guide rail is extended upto an area which is situated more backwardly than the passenger access opening.

Abstract: An aqueous preparation for the treatment of allergic diseases comprising 9-methyl-3-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one potassium salt, dibasic potassium phosphate and monobasic potassium phosphate. The aqueous preparation has no local irritation yet has physicochemical stability during long-term storage.

Abstract: A storage device for automatic storage of items such as vehicles including a deposit station and removal station. A plurality of storage stations are provided having a deposit and a removal opening. A transport device is provided for transporting the item from adjacent the deposit station to adjacent one of the plurality of storage stations. The transport device also takes the item from adjacent the storage station to adjacent the removal station. A transfer device is provided for transferring the items from the transport device to the storage stations. The transfer device includes a transfer grate having parallel grate arms connected to each other by a ty-bar, a lifting mechanism connected to the grate arms and a transversing mechanism including running gears for moving the transfer grate horizontally.
Abstract: An apparatus for the dry treatment of a fabric in which the fabric passes repeatedly from a first chamber to a second chamber and back again through a passage in which air is blown in the appropriate direction. Within each chamber facing the port of the passage, there is a fabric receiving device which allows the air therethrough and receives the fabric without retaining it, whereby the fabric is piled in orderly fashion on a platform of the corresponding chamber. The device avoids irregular piling and entanglement of the fabric in the lengthwise direction. Adjustment of the control means of access of the air to the passage opposes a main current to a secondary current of air, producing compacting of the fabric.
Abstract: A sewing machine with a housing having a base over which the workpiece is movable and with a drive shaft is rotatable in the housing. A needle bar is provided having a plurality of needles and is connected to the drive shaft and moved upwardly and downwardly. A feed mechanism is provided for moving the workpiece. A looper support has a looper for each needle and is connected to the drive shaft for swinging movement. A loop spreader connecting rod has a loop spreader for each needle and is movable transversely to the movement of the needles. A spreader drive shaft is connected to the drive shaft and has a drive crank eccentric which is oscillated by the rotation of the spreader drive shaft. An eccentric arm carried by the crank eccentric is connected to a rocking shaft via a clamp lever and the rocking shaft is connected to a crank which is connected to the connecting rod which carries the spreaders.
Abstract: A contact member for electrical conductors, in particular for cable wires of telecommunication systems, comprises two electrically conductive contact sections forming a contact slot, in order to simplify and make less costly manufacture and assembly of the components including the contact members, the contact section are formed from an insulating material and are provided with metallized contact surfaces.

Abstract: A gas ratio controlling device for anesthetic appliances, wherein the throughput ratio of oxygen to anesthetic gas (oxygen:anesthetic gas) is controlled by means of a control circuit with a control valve operating depending on the concentration parameters required. The oxygen ratio in the supply gas must not fall below a preset value. The control is improved in order to secure that the oxygen content does not fall below the required minimum during small gas mixture flow rates and the invention provides a means of adjustment for small anesthetic gas values. According to the invention this is achieved by a control valve situated in the anesthetic gas supply line which can be bridged by a by-pass line having a throttle.

Abstract: A fuel filler door structure is provided with such an arrangement that one end of a toggle spring is adapted to engage with the bracket for the mount of a fuel filler door complete, and the other end of the toggle spring is adapted to engage with the middle portion of a hinge rod extending in a crank-like shape in an offset relationship with a line passing the both ends of the crank shaped hinge rod. By the effect of the toggle spring, the fuel filler door complete may be urged continuously in either way of closing or opening across the dead point of urging effected by the toggle spring.
Abstract: A ball-and-socket joint for motor vehicles includes a joint ball (1) provided on a pivot pin (2) mounted movably in a sliding shell (4) made of plastic. A zone of grooves (8) are provided for receiving lubricant on an inner surface of the sliding shell. The sliding shell is inserted into a housing (5) whose inner wall closely surrounds the outer wall of the sliding shell (4). In the zone of the grooves receiving the lubricant, flat recesses (9), which permit radial deformation of the sliding shell (4) in the direction toward the housing, are provided between the housing (5) and the sliding shell (4).
Abstract: The side ladder has upper and lower footpaces (1, 3) connected with side elements (5) on which a flight of steps (7) is hinged. A first actuator (11) is provided for withdrawing the ladder from a housing (15) on the boat and a second actuator (13) is provided for rotating the ladder about a horizontal axis. A leverage (21, 23, 27, 29) keeps the steps (7) and the lower footpace (3) in their horizontal position during rotation of the ladder. A piston and cylinder system (53) is provided for operating a handrail (41) and a further rotation of the ladder about a vertical axis can be carried out by a hydraulic motor (31).

Abstract: An adjustment construction for adjusting the active sheath length on a Bowden pull wire for mounting in an opening of a support wall. The arrangement includes a Bowden wire moveable in the sheath and a sheath end piece having an end into which the sheath is engageable, the sheath end piece having a surface defining a plurality of stops. The stops are positioned to provide gaps between adjacent stops and the sheath end piece is provided with a toothed rack-like displacement ribs on the outer surface of the plurality of stops. The periphery of the sheath end piece defines a longitudinal groove extending through the stops and interrupting the stops. A socket is provided for support of the Bowden wire. The socket is mounted in the wall opening and has a passage before the sheath end piece and the wire and includes an end engaged over the sheath end piece with a frictionally engageable end face. A support sleeve is provided having an interior bore engageable around the sheath end piece.
Abstract: The invention includes a compressor unit with a connected drive by a high-frequency motor for compressing gases and which is suitable for great ocean depths and for natural gas conveyance from the ocean floor where the low temperature obtaining in the water is effectively utilized. The compressor unit is supported by magnetic bearings in a housing. The compressor includes a plurality of compressor stages connected by pipe lines which form a surface cooler on the suction side arranged around the housing.
Abstract: The map reading and plotting instrument comprises two transparent discs coaxially held together by a hollow fastener for rotary motion relative to each other and two transparent arms disposed between and extending radially of the discs and secured by the hollow fastener for pivotal movement relative to each other and the discs. The top disc has a sight-slide subassembly consisting of a plurality of first scales of linear measure and a sight-slide moveable relative to the first scales. The bottom disc has adjacent its periphery a plurality of scales of angular measure while each of the arms has a plurality of scales of linear measure extending from the hollow fastener longitudinally to the distal end thereof. The top disc has a north-south diametral line which coacts with a declination scale of the bottom disc to effect orientation of the instrument with the magnetic north as shown on a map having grid azimuths and/or a declination diagram.
Abstract: According to the present invention, an attractant that possesses attraction effects with respect to Tribolium castaneum Herbst and moreover, is a stable compound for which the effectiveness will be continuous, is provided.That is, the present invention is 2,6-dimethyl octylformate and an atrractant of Tribolium castaneum Herbst which is formed from relevant chemical compounds.
