Abstract: An anti-surge control of a turbocompressor includes a controller which controls the progressive opening or closing of a blow-off valve as a function of the working point location relative to a blow-off line defined in the characteristic field. A quick opening of the blow-off valve upon the occurrence of a close approach to surge is effective by applying a correction signal to the integral section of the controller.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the display of advertising messages which comprises two rollers 7, 8 for winding and unwinding a flexible member (9), such as a sheet which bears advertising messages which can be seen through a front screen, within a body (1) with a transparent front screen (3) which is illuminated from the rear. Each roller (7,8) is driven by a transmission which includes an idling wheel (15, 16, 25, 26) so that when one roller winds up the flexible member the other roller idles thus permitting unwinding of the said member (9).
Abstract: The invention provides a jewelry cleaning arrangement including a housing and a cleaning bath tank formed of an electrically conductive material. The cleaning bath tank is supported within the housing and is connectable to an electric potential. An electrical contact member extends sealingly into the interior region of the tank. The electrical contact member is electrically insulated from the tank and is connectable to an electric potential. A non-conductive insert member is positionable in the tank and movable between a cleaning position and an elevated position. The non-conductive insert member includes a support surface upon which jewelry may be placed. A jewelry engagement conductive member is provided supported on the non-conductive insert member support surface. The jewelry engagement member includes a contact portion engaging the electrical contact member when the insert member is positioned in the cleaning position within the tank.
Abstract: Production of polyenaminonitriles including those which can be cyclized to very stable poly(aminoquinolines) without the evolution of any small molecules and thus in a manner free of volatiles. The polyenaminonitriles are polymers which have desirable dielectric properties, and include those which can be cyclized to poly(aminoquinolines) without the evolution of volatiles to make defect-free films and composites of similar dielectric properties because of this characteristic.
Abstract: The invention provides a torsion spring bar axle which combines a rubber spring axle with a steel torsion rod for an unexpected result. The axle comprises an axle tube which houses a hollow torsion rod between which are placed rubber bodies creating a rubber spring axle inside the hollow torsion rod there is also a steel torsion which is internally biased. The steel torsion rod is adjustably connected to the axle tube on one end and a wheel swing lever on the other end. The hollow torsion rod is also connected to the wheel swing lever. This allows for less spring action with increasing loads and a soft deflection of the wheel swing lever.
Abstract: A crank disc is rotatably mounted on a journal fixed to the casing. A planetary wheel is mounted rotatably and eccentric on the crank disc. The planetary wheel is in forced engagement with a sun wheel arranged coaxially with regard to the crank disc. The sun wheel is fixed to the casing and its reference diameter is double or equal to the reference diameter of the planetary wheel. A pin is arranged on the planetary wheel eccentric to the planetary wheel's axis. The pin is encompassed by the connecting rod bearing of a connecting rod. The crank disc meshes with a pinion of a driven shaft. By this development the characteristics of the crank drive can be chosen within a wide range. Combustion and efficiency can be increased upon employment in a piston combustion motor.
Abstract: A spraying nozzle of an installation for varnishing hollow bodies from their interiors and especially for varnishing metallic tubes or cans are connected with a spraying nozzle supporting device by a pivotal joint. In the driven out position of the supporting device when the nozzles are out of the hollow bodies, the spraying nozzles can be rotated through an angle and positioned in a tubular clearing device of a purification plant. The article to be sprayed and the spray nozzle are arranged so that the nozzles and the article may be moved relatively to cause the nozzle to enter into the article and move along its interior and spray the article interior as relative movement between the article and the nozzle is carried out and the nozzle and the article, and a cleaning apparatus are arranged so that the nozzle and the article can move relatively for drawing the nozzle out of the article and they can be shifted relatively through an angle and positioned into cooperative engagement with the cleaning apparatus.
Abstract: The flow regulating valve for pneumatic or other fluids comprises a housing with two valve spaces separated from each other by a partition and each having a port opening into them. The two valve spaces are able to be connected with each other by a cutout or transfer port in the partition. In one valve space there is a rotary valve member which covers the transfer port to a greater or lesser extent in accordance with the amount it is turned. On adjusting the position of the rotary valve member the effective size of the transfer port may be varied to control the flow of the fluid between one valve space and the other.
Abstract: A device for opening a pontoon unit to form a pontoon bridge, in which two inner pontoons and two outer pontoons are connected by hinges such that they can be opened in the shape of a W. In the collapsed state, the two inner pontoons are connected to an upper middle hinge and the two outer pontoons are joined to the adjoining inner pontoons by a lower hinge each. The lower hinge is formed by two pins which are arranged in the adjoining corners of the inner pontoon and outer pontoon. The pins are pivotably connected by a projecting lever, and the freedom of movement of the projecting end of the lever can be limited by stops. The end of the lever facing the outer pontoon is attached to a tension spring. The outer pontoons are opened by the tensioned tension springs against the buoyancy acting on them.

The suction pump is connected to the pulsator by a first suction line and a reservoir is connected to the pulsator by a second suction line. The pulsator includes a cylindrical housing supporting a control element which is moveable within said cylinder. The control element defining an air chamber and a vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber being in communication with the first suction line and the second suction line. An opening in said cylinder providing communication between said air chamber and atmosphere. An air intake valve is provided to vent the vacuum chamber to atomsphere periodically by opening and closing a valve closing element. A transmission arrangement is provided, connecting the control element and the valve element.
Abstract: For some applications of slide layers, for example in connecting rod bearings of internal combustion engines, for individual sites of a formed piece, high load bearing capability are required while for other places of the same formed piece good embedding abilities are demanded. A composite material with a slide layer applied by cathode sputtering of a tightly cohesive matrix and an insoluble component distributed statistically in it, is adapted to these opposite demands in that the diameter of the particle of the insolutble material has gradients at predetermined sites, which extend parallel to the surface of the slide layer, and to which slide layer hardness gradients correspond. These gradients are generated during the cathode sputtering process in the substrate to be coated to form a growing slide layer having temperature gradients which are maintained and which extend parallel to the substrate surface.
Abstract: The holding of a catalytically-active monolith in a housing in the exhaust line of a liquid fuel-operated motor is done by a holder made of a knitting wrapped about a catalyst monolith. The knitting includes a segment with an undeformed thread area, where one or more sealing strips are accommodated, so that the holding qualities are improved with good prevention of a by-passing gas flow about the monolith, and the sealing strip is protected against abrasion and destruction and is securely retained in its position.
