Abstract: A waveguide circulator includes a resonator body which is separated from a waveguide side by a dielectric spacer disc. The spacer disc has an interface turned toward the waveguide side in which defined electromagnetic boundary conditions are to prevail. The thickness of the spacer disc and the dielectric constant of the disc material are matched so that the disc thickness equals a quarter wavelength, referred to a wave propagating in the disc perpendicular to the waveguide side.

Abstract: A resilient radial sliding bearing is intended for connecting parts, particularly motor vehicle parts which perform oscillatory movements relative to each other. The bearing comprises a resilient body of elastic material, having a slide surface which is provided with recesses for a lubricant and cooperates in rotary motion as well as, within limits, axially sliding motion, with an opposite surface of a sliding sleeve. A mounting for the bearing comprises a sleeve member having downturned edges which engages over the sliding sleeve and each end of the resilient body and limits the axial sliding movement of the resilient body to a defined clearance.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for the automatic adaptation of mailing formats of different sizes to be scanned opto-electrically, to a given image reproduction format, is used in particular for scanning the address fields of letters and the like. An image content reduction is carried out in such a way that in the scanning of the mailing in dependence on the height and/or length excess of the mailings from given standard values H.sub.o, L.sub.o, a corresponding number of image points within each image scan element are omitted according to a given rule and the image reproduction is generated by non-omitted image points of the image scan elements. In order that lettering edge sharpness will remain equally sharp, the image point magnification between image point scan size and image point reproduction size is maintained constant.

Abstract: In a method of preparing from weld material a component having a curvature which is symmetrical in rotation, difficulties arise, more particularly in the case of large and heavy components, in guiding the treatment zone. The treatment zone remains in a horizontal positio for welding, on stationary welding heads. For economic form welding under numerical control, it is proposed that the rotational axis of the component be tilted stepwise, to an extent depending upon the advance of the buildup of weld material layers, around a horizontal axis perpendicular to the rotational axis, the welding heads being adjusted stepwise as the tilt position varies.

Abstract: A sewing machine with a needle bar mounted in a rocker, has a step motor drive for the oscillation of the rocker. A memory is used in which are contained selected digital data for influencing the step motor and a control unit is inserted between the memory and the step motor for selection and conversion of the digital data into stepping pulses for the step motor. A pulse generator operating synchronously with a main shaft of the sewing machine is used for triggering the transmission of stepping pulses to the step motor. To improve the drive transmission and to avoid reactions on the step motor, the step motor is connected to a lever arm of the rocker via an eccentric transmission.

Abstract: A lockstitch sewing machine includes a rotary hook, with a bobbin housing and a cam is provided for the rotation-secure retention of the bobbin housing and it is arranged a small distance behind the stitch hole in the direction of hook rotation. A holding finger for holding the bobbin housing against rotation with the hook body projects from the bobbin housing, as well as a supporting finger arranged substantially 90.degree. before the stitch hole. A shoulder projecting from the bobbin housing is associated with the supporting finger.

Abstract: A corner joint between mitered jambs of a door frame, with claws provided in the miter region of the jamb ends. The claws are designed as tongues cut out of the jambs. The tongues are provided with abutment elements which engage behind the respective adjacent jambs. Further, the tongues and their abutment elements are offset relative to each other and so dimensioned that in assembled state, they engage and snugly fit between the tongues of the other jamb. The manufacture and assemblage of the frame jambs is thereby considerably simplified.

Abstract: The dropping of pressure for the gas supply in respirators, below a minimum pressure, is reported to the wearer by an acoustic alarm device. To make it possible for the wearer to check whether a warning signal heard comes from his own equipment or not, it is provided that the alarm device has a manipulator which adjusts the sound-generating region.

Abstract: A tractor for the treatment of deformities of the spine comprises a plate of rigid material such as plastic having a raised peripheral rib extending outwardly from the plate in the form of an elongated figure 8 which encloses a substantially cylindrical end portion at each end interconnected by a central connecting portion space which is covered by a flexible elastic membrane so as to form two airtight chamber portions at each end and a narrow central connecting portion which communicates therebetween. The end portions may be inflated outwardly with the use of a portable hand pump or bellows connected thereto and the device is adapted to be engaged with a brace applied around the person's body.

Abstract: A slide-like drive or feed unit comprises a housing with a piston and cylinder actuator therein. A piston rod extends out of the housing and is joined with a guide rod that runs in a guide hole in the housing. The end of the guide rod remote from the connection is used for mechanical connection with a load. The guide rod bears various fittings for controlling the drive unit. The output drive part, consisting of the piston rod and the guide rod, of the drive unit may be designed with an entrained fluid connection point, that is supplied with fluid from a pipe running in a hole in the housing.

Abstract: A combustion chamber for heating systems operated with liquid fuel can be used as vehicle heaters but also as heating systems for e.g. cooking purposes and whose control range is expanded as compared with known devices. The combustion chamber includes two sections separated from the combustion space by a plate with a passage opening. Depending on the purpose of use, a different flame guiding insert is arranged between the combustion space and the combustion chamber.

Abstract: A metal fitting for a detachable connection between panels, which are at an angle to one another, especially between furniture panels, comprises an approximately cylindrical tension part (3) which is rotatably supported in the recess (2) of a mounting (1). The mounting (1) is attached to one panel and a tension bolt (10), which engages the tension part (3), is attached to the other panel. Recess (2) is provided at its one face (4) with a supporting surface (5) for the purpose of supporting the tension part (3) in the mounting (1). In order to enable the mounting (1) to be manufactured simply and the tension part (3) to be inserted easily into the mounting (1), the other face (13) of the recess (2) is fashioned to be open and has only a nose (14), which rises inwardly above the tension part (3). The tension part (3), in turn, is provided with a longitudinal slot (15) which corresponds to the dimensions of the nose (14).

Abstract: A packaging bag has a mouth which is shaped so that it can be opened by blowing air into the mouth. A stack of such bags are folded flatly and are sequentially opened for receiving articles. Each bag has a back wall with hooking holes provided for receiving a stacking hook. The front wall of each bag has a large notch which overlies the holes with clearance to permit easy raising of the front wall when air is used to open the mouth. The hooking holes are also formed so that they are easily torn when the bag is pulled off the hook in a direction away from the mouth. To this end, each hook hole has a sharp portion in the direction of the mouth.

Abstract: An exhaust gas treatment device adapted to be connected into an exhaust line of an internal combustion engine comprises a porous body made of heat resistant material and having a plurality of conduits extending axially therethrough having an inlet end and an opposite outlet. The construction includes a closure member closing the inlet ends of at least some of the conduits. An additional closing member closes the outlet ends of at least some of the other of the conduits. A catalyst mesh material is positioned in at least some of the conduits which have open inlet ends. Exhaust gases flow into the inlet ends which are open. In some if not all of the cases, the opposite ends of the open inlet ends that is the outlet ends are closed so that the gases must flow through the porous walls of the porous body and move into contact with the catalyst mesh material of the others of the conduits and flow out the ends of those conduits which are open.

Abstract: A novel sandwich-like food giving a soft feeling to the palate can be produced by heating and drying surimi and then forming the thus treated surimi into first and second continuous sheets; ejecting molten cheese, molten cheese mixed with minced salami, or a raw meat mixture for the manufacture of salami and placing it on the first continuous sheet of ground fish meat so as to form a continuous layer; superposing thereon the second continuous sheet of SURIMI; pressing these components into a sandwich form; drying the resulting sandwich-like product; and then cutting the dried sandwich-like product into pieces of a size suitable for use as food.

Abstract: Disclosed is a trigger for rifles and similar firearms, which trigger is provided with an arresting element that permits the easy positioning of the trigger into the desired arresting notch of the trigger support provided in the body of the rifle. Three embodiments are presented of variants of the invention, in which essentially, a plurality of arresting notches are made in the trigger support, either beneath it or laterally thereto, and a spring-loaded arresting element with a manually operated tooth is forced into mating engagement with the notches for a constant contact of the two parts of the device.

Abstract: A protective cap comprises closure elements, by the operation of which the narices can be closed for the purpose of pressure equalization in the middle ear in overcoming extreme differences in altitude. To be able to execute the operation without visual impairment, it is provided that the closure elements are designed as motion elements variable in their extent, which are connected to a flow medium contained in feed lines which is pressurized by an operating element displacing the flow medium.

Abstract: In an arrangement for coupling a false jaw to a master jaw of a chuck, wherein a positive locking is effected by a radial displacement, the master jaw is provided with an extension having a stop surface and a projection. The false jaw has a recess for receiving the extension and a relief shoulder and is guided in the direction of rotation. Due to this arrangement, the false jaw is well supported and highly stable, so that strong forces can be transmitted, and a high repetitive accuracy in chucking is obtained.

Abstract: This dispenser comprises in combination in a box at least a liquid tank (7), a recess (9) for a supply of cleaning sheets (21) and devices (17,18,19) for distributing on said sheets in the recess (9) a measured amount of liquid contained in the tank (7).

Abstract: Automatic control device for lifting-up and translating a carriage of a machine for edge trimming and beveling spectacles glasses, of the type wherein the shaft supporting the glass includes a cam acting on a switch so to as to control stopping of the glass rotating motion, and a motor driving the carriage with a translational motion by a cam, wherein it comprises first elements (16,17) allowing operation of the lifting-up mechanism, second elements (27) for guiding the lowering motion of the carriage (1) and third elements (22,23) constituting a mechanical storage for moving the carriage (1) on one hand along a curved path during lifting-up and lowering, corresponding to the mean curvature of the glass, and on the other hand with a simultaneous additional translational movement.
