  • Patent number: 4667669
Abstract: A cycle respirator for pressure operation makes sure that in the respiratory cycle a positive pressure relative to the ambient atmosphere always prevails. During the exhaling phase this positive pressure is undesirable because he (the user) is additionally burdened unnecessarily during exhalation. The invention includes a sensor connected with a measuring circuit which can distinguish between inhalation phase and exhalation phase and activates through a measuring circuit an auxiliary device by which the positive pressure is reduced during the exhalation phase. Across an electric resistance path a voltage difference drops which varies in accordance with the stroke movements of the breathing bag. This varying voltage difference is used as a measurement signal for the switching of the auxiliary device, whereby the positive pressure in the respiratory cycle is created in the respiratory cycle only during the inhaling phase, but is reduced during the exhaling phase.

  • Patent number: 4664037
Abstract: A double coupling comprising two flexible couplings are connected to each other through an intermediate hollow shaft and have outer parts on each and each with a hub and radially extending arms between which rubber blocks shaped as ring segments are inserted in a prestressed state. The rubber blocks each comprise a central, radially inwardly narrowing wedge to which two rubber members carrying plates on their free surfaces are symmetrically vulcanized on either side. The wedges are connected to corresponding claws of the intermediate shaft. The wedge and claws, along with the intermediate shaft serves as a common hub portion and form an inner part of the flexible coupling. One hub is secured to a solid shaft and the other hub is secured to a hollow shaft. The solid shaft extends through the hollow shaft and they move relative to each other, even in misaligned positions. As compared to similar prior art couplings for transmitting comparable power, the weight of such a doubling coupling is reduced.

  • Patent number: 4663830
Abstract: A buried grid structure is produced in a semiconductor material particularly a silicon wafer, while using a metallic grid mask. The buried grid is formed directly within the semiconductor material by contradoping ion implantation by means of a high energy accelerator through the metallic grid mask. The bars or ribs of the metallic grid mask stop the ions passing therethrough so that two vertically separated and laterally offset buried grid structures are produced. By beveling the periphery of the wafer, buried conductive structures are formed at the same time as connections between the buried grid structures and a control electrode provided on the back side of the wafer.
