    Abstract: A tire supplying apparatus has a self-propelled green tire carrying wagon for carrying a green tire to be vulcanized, a green tire unloading device mounted on the wagon and a green tire receiving stand disposed at a predetermined position located in front of a vulcanizing press or a green tire loading device mounted on the vulcanizing press. The green tire unloading device is provided with an aligning mechanism adapted to hold the unloaded green tire so as to displace it in any radial direction while it is lifted up, the aligning mechanism serving to locate its center in correct alignment with respect to the green tire receiving stand or the green tire loading device.

    Abstract: To be able to disengage the contacts of a switch in the event of a breakage of the snap spring or if the contacts become melted together, a pivotable resetting member in the form of a two-armed lever is provided. One arm of the lever is associated with the inside end of an operating plunger, while its other arm is associated with the end of a slide of the switch. While being displaced from its initial position into the switched position, the slide pushes the resetting member and the end of the operating plunger moved thereby away from the respective arm of the resetting member. By pushing the operating plunger against the actuator, the end of the plunger acts against the arm of the resetting member whose pivotal motion then causes the slide to be pushed into its initial position.

    Abstract: A surgical instrument for performing mechanical suturing and biopsies comprises a fixed leg having an upper body defining a channel and a lower head connected to the body and incorporating a suturing mechanism which includes a pusher for pushing a V-shaped arrangement of mechanical sutures into tissue to be sutured. A movable leg is slidably mounted in the channel of the fixed leg and includes a lower anvil which cooperates with the head of the fixed body to close sutures which are discharged from the head. A threaded engagement is established in the fixed leg body for threadably engaging an upper part of the movable leg for moving the movable leg with respect to the fixed leg. The head of the fixed leg comprises a frame which houses a pusher for the suturing mechanism, the pusher having a shaft which is movable parallel to the movable leg and which is connected to a release mechanism for lower and raising the pusher. A V-shaped blade is movable with the pusher for performing a biopsy.

    Abstract: A gate turn-off thyristor comprising, a first emitter layer of one conductivity type, a main base layer of another conductivity type connected to said first emitter layer and a control base layer of the first conductivity type connected to the main base layer. A second emitter of the other conductivity type is connected to the control base layer at a junction which surrounds a portion of the second emitter layer. An emitter contact is connected to the second emitter layer and a control base contact is connected to the control base layer. The gate turn-off thyristor is turned off by a short circuiting of the control base contact with the emitter contact. The surface resistance of the control base layer between the second emitter layer and the control base contact is selected so that, with a control base turn-off current applied which is sufficient for turning off the thyristor, a potential appears on a lateral resistance in the control base layer which is less than a potential appearing at the junction.

    Abstract: In uninterrupted and neat machining of a workpiece or material, particularly extremely hard material, with an ultrosonic tool is obtained by keeping constant or substantially constant the contact pressure between the tool and the worked surface. This is done, for example, by feeding the tool by means of a spindle sleeve which is mounted for displacement in a feed head. The other end of the spindle sleeve, remote from the tool, is designed as the piston of a feed mechanism. By keeping the pressure P1 in the cylinder space above piston, or the volume of this cylinder space, constant, the contact pressure of the tool remains constant as desired. Since the piston displaced during the matching operation, this displacement must be determined, by means of a displacement pickup, for example. Through a very sensitive contact pressure control on a feed head of the working machine, to which the cylinder of the feed mechanism is secured, can be moved to keep the volume of or pressure in the cylinder space constant.

    Abstract: At a work clamp for buttonhole sewing machines, comprising a support plate and a clamping frame arranged at a pivotable carrying lever, spaced from the clamping frame, a hold-down device with a clamping plate resiliently pressed against the work is fastened at the carrying lever. The clamping frame, when raised is pressed into a slanting position by a spring. During the descending movement of the clamping frame and hold-down device, the hold-down device precedes the clamping frame and clamps the work to the support plate. As a next step, the edge of the clamping plate of the clamping frame which is spaced from the hold-down device impinges on the work. A clamping surface of the clamping plate forms an acute angle with the support plate. As the descending movement of the clamping plate continues, the clamping frame swings out about its bearing pin on the carrying lever. At this time the edge engaging the work moves away from the hold-down device.

The form knitting is advantageously given a further thermic finishing so that it is tightened by 2.1%.
