    Abstract: A circular knitting machine for simultaneously making several pairs of tights and the like, with two tubular legs and a body portion having a front and a back, comprises a movable unit carrying a cylinder with a circle of cylinder needles and a plate carrying an adjacent circle of plate needles. The movable unit moves with alternating rotary movement relative to several thread guides disposed around the circles of needles. In order to make several garments simultaneously, the circles are divided into as many arcuate groups of needles as there are garments. Each arcuate group is divided into two equal sub-groups separated by a middle group. The needles of each group are automatically brought into operation in a sequence to knit the toes and legs (on the sub-groups), then the crotch (using the middle group as well), then the body (still using two threads, one for the left-hand and one for the linked right-hand side).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for filling bags with a material and for sealing them, and it can carry the bags in a direction of a bag thickness. A first feature of the present invention resides in that, in the case that the bags are arranged between a pair of chain conveyors disposed in parallel vertical planes, they are gripped by plural pairs of grippers mounted on a pair of axes extending through each rectangular parallelepiped carrier. Further, a second feature of the present invention is that the apparatus according to the present invention is equipped with nozzles for introducing a compressed gas into the bags and pressure gauges for measuring a pressure within the bags in order to detect whether or not each bag is normally gripped by the grippers. Furthermore, another feature of the present invention is that a return pipe is fixed to a filling device so that the filling material may be returned to a storage tank, without being discharged therethrough, by closing the filling nozzle.

The surface tension of the liquid is adjusted and then the surface tension adjusted liquid substance is jet sprayed into a fine particle production chamber and at the same time applied against a vertical impingement plate installed inside the chamber for the sake of producing fine particles smaller than 10.mu.. The fine particles thus produced are stored inside an accumulator tank for raising its concentration to a higher level, then the highly concentrated fine particles are given kinetic energy, thus providing the method of spraying onto the surface of the moving substrate.

This structure includes a cylindrical combustion chamber having a forward discharge end with a flame baffle and with a heating gas outlet tube connected to the discharge end for the axial flow of the combustion gases. The combustion chamber has an ignition zone which is provided with wall bores for admitting primary air and it includes a spark plug in the ignition zone for igniting the combustion gases and the primary combustion air. The combustion chamber also has a burnout zone which is provided with wall slots for admitting secondary air downstream of the primary air.

The slats are then removed from the bottom of the magazine and stepwise provided with connecting elements having hooks which are then engaged with loops provided on carrier strips of the shutter. After suspending the last slat, the carrier strips are cut through above the last slat, so that on a conveyor provided below, the assembled shutter forms a stack to be removed. This process is continuous, so that in immediate succession, the assemblage of a further shutter begins.

    Abstract: An axial ball joint is fabricated from a housing having a substantially cylindrical outer surface and a cylindrical cavity which ends at an opening defined by a rim portion of the housing. The rim portion has a larger accumulation of material than elsewhere on the housing so that the housing can be deformed radially inwardly into a portion of the opening. A ball part with a ball portion and shank is inserted into the opening. A resilient socket is provided around the ball as a lining for the cavity. Once the ball portion is seated in the cavity, the rim portion is deformed inwardly toward the shank to retain the ball portion in the cavity. In this way the ball part is inserted from the opening end of the cavity rather than from an opposite end as is known in the art.

    Abstract: The use of respirator masks with positive pressure in the interior of the mask makes sure that during inhalation as well as exhalation a positive pressure prevails which prevents ambient atmosphere from entering. The lung controlled valve is separated by a control membrane into a breathing chamber and an outer chamber. The breathing gas chamber, connected with the interior of the mask, has the internal pressure thereof. For respiratory gas supply, the breathing gas chamber is connected with the respiratory gas source through an inlet valve controlled by the control membrane via a coupling means. The outer chamber contains a shutoff device by which the control membrane, manually actuated by a magnetic key, is held in a shutting position with simultaneous closing of the inlet valve. With the respirator mask taken off, unnecessary flow of respiratory gas is prevented.

    Abstract: A router comprises a cage supporting a drive unit having a shaft on which a cutter can be fixed. A rest plate is provided with an aperture for moving the cutter therethrough. The rest plate is a hollow structure open downwardly where it is closed by a detachable cover having a smooth outer surface. A cavity of the plate communicates with and encircles the aperture 21 for the cutter and grows toward an exhaust connection which extends tangentially to the cutter, i.e. in the direction in which the millings are thrown. The exhaust connection can be connected to an exhauster. Laterally on the rest plate, an adjustable slide stop may be provided having an angled leg which can be brought into a position flush with the bottom surface of the rest plate or moved downward therefrom.

Upon finishing a roll, the seized portion of the web is disengaged and the roll can be withdrawn by means of a take-off device. This makes it possible to wind up the web at a high speed without forming folds. Also, the laps of the formed roll are very firmly wound and their edges are throughout in a definite position so that they may be heated in a working station.
