Abstract: The subject of the invention is a high frequency bandpass amplifier with adjustable impedance, in particular for a high frequency quartz resonator. It includes a transistor T connected in common base the emitter of which is connected to ground by a resistive divider bridge (R.sub.2, R.sub.1) the mid-point of which forms the input of the amplifier. The collector of the transistor (T) is connected to ground by a parallel circuit (LC) having one inductive side (L) and one capacitive side (C), a mid-point of the inductive side (L) or of the capacitive side (C) forming an output (s.sub.1 or s.sub.2) of the amplifier (A). The base of the transistor is biased and connected to ground via a capacitor (C.sub.3) ensuring common base operation in the pass-band of the amplifier. The invention also relates to an oscillator of transmission type including such an amplifier and a resonator (1) connected between the input (e) and one output (s.sub.1 or s.sub.2) of the amplifier (A).

Abstract: Each sensor of the system is connected to a central station and is interrogated cyclically. In turn, the sensors generate over a bus line a variable amplitude signal synthesized from data stored in a read only memory. Each sensor has a read only memory with different data and thus generates a different waveform during successive intervals of time. Any modification in the waveform of the signal transmitted by a sensor is interpreted as an alarm due to the detection of an intrusion, for example, or due to an attempt at sabotaging the sensor or the bus lines. The complexity of the waveforms synthesized by the sensors makes a simulation very difficult intended to neutralize the remote monitoring system.

Abstract: A miniaturized plug-in cutout/switch is controlled by a push-button (1) and comprises a connection and disconnection mechanism using a captive ball (4d) circulating in a track cage (4a), having two positions selected by successive applications of pressure to the push-button (1) corresponding to the switch connected and switch disconnected states. The cutout/switch includes an independent locking mechanism for a movable contacts (11) which is operated by a bimetallic strip (8) which triggers the opening of the contacts when a current overload occurs in the protected circuit. The simple design of the apparatus permits a miniaturized construction which is particularly advantageous for its use on panels where small dimensions and the rationalization of its shapes make it suitable, for example on aircraft panels.

A bottom member is connected to the body portion and has a planar portion covering the open bottom of the body portion. A first opening is formed in the trap and covered by a first closure member. The first opening is sized so as to allow a fisherman to place bait within the trap or remove shellfish caught. A second opening is formed in the trap and contains an elongated passage formed of mesh material. A trapdoor is connected to the inner end of the passage to permit a shellfish to enter the trap but inhibit the shellfish from exiting.
Abstract: A process for the production of an electronic component wherein electrical connections are soldered to the lateral sides of the component, after which the latter is introduced into a housing and a solidifiable resin is cast around the component in the housing. According to the invention, the connections are firstly produced in the form of a hairpin comprising two parallel branches interconnected via their first extremity, whereafter a convex part is formed on each branch towards their second extremities, so that after the second extremities are soldered to the lateral sides of the component, the distance between the convex parts and their position on each of the branches permits their insertion together with the component into the housing, the friction of the said convex parts against the inner sides of the housing being sufficient for holding together the housing and the component.

Abstract: A thermal press for installing metal inserts into a workpiece of thermoplastics material is disclosed and includes a reciprocating driver supported on a frame for movement toward and away from the workpiece. The driver includes a heated bit engageable with an insert positioned upon the workpiece when the driver is moved into a ready operative position and applies heat directly to the insert causing it to locally melt the thermoplastics workpiece. The thermal press features an adjustable air biasing mechanism which is automatically activated upon movement of the driver into its ready operative position after arrest of the bit in its insert engagement position whereby the air biasing means drives the bit independently of the driver to apply a predetermined insert driving force on the bit to fully install the insert into the workpiece upon softening of its thermoplastics material.

Abstract: A temperature-sensitive element on a rotatable drum of a copying machine changes a characteristic in response to a temperature on said drum. The characteristic is employed to control a temperature signal. The temperature signal from the drum is connected to stationary portions of the copying machine through sliding contacts. A control circuit responds to the temperature signal to control the energization of a heater to maintain the temperature of the drum at a predetermined value. The temperature signal and the control circuit complement each other to avoid errors caused by changes in resistance in the sliding contacts. In one embodiment, the temperature signal is a controlled current, independent of resistance in series with it, and the control circuit measures the current.
