Abstract: A method for testing and determining the alloy class of an aluminum alloy may be simply and easily carried out, for unequivocally determining the correct alloy class among the aluminum alloy classes 2XXX, 5XXX or 6XXX, and 7XXX, of the test sample. According to the method, the material sample is dissolved in hydrochloric acid (HCL) to prepare a first solution, then nitric acid (HNO.sub.3) is added drop-wise to the first solution in order to cause oxidation of any insoluble copper (Cu) therein and form a second solution, then a potassiumhexacyanoferrate (II) solution (K.sub.4 ?Fe(CN).sub.6 !) is added to the second solution to bring about a discoloration and precipitation reaction and form a final resulting solution. Finally, the applicable alloy class of the tested material sample is determined by visually categorizing the color and precipitation state of the resulting solution.
Abstract: The sun search method for a satellite stabilized in three axes according to the invention uses a sun sensor device with a visual field possibly containing gaps, and a rotational speed gyro which measures in a measuring axis that is oriented arbitrarily. A regulating law with the form .tau.=-kGG.sup.T .omega. is used (.tau.=regulating torque, k=amplification factor, G=directional vector of measuring axis of rotational speed gyro, .omega.=rotational speed vector of the satellite). A rotational wheel momentum H which is not parallel to the measuring axis, is generated with the aid of an additional flywheel device.

Abstract: A guided missile with ram jet drive, with an engine occupying the airframe cross section, with two outer air intakes in the lower area of the airframe, which lead to the tail with wake shafts, with a tail plane including four separately pivotable vanes in the form of a diagonal cross. A rigid wing arrangement is provided in or in front of the center of the missile. One drive unit with linear movement is provided for each vane. Two of the drive units are arranged longitudinally offset in the longitudinal and circumferential directions of the guided missile in each wake shaft. A kinematic connection from the drive unit to the lower vane is formed by a coupling rod each with joints at both ends. A kinematic connection from the drive unit to the upper vane is formed by a pivotable double lever each and a coupling rod with ball joints at both ends.
Abstract: A catalyst and a method for producing the catalyst, for catalytic reduction of NO.sub.x and oxidation of hydrocarbons, the catalyst comprises a zinc, copper and aluminum spinel to which, at least one element selected from palladium, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, osmium, iridium, rhenium and/or rare earth metals, such as lanthanum and cerium, vanadium, titanium, niobium, molybdenum, tungsten and/or salts thereof and/or oxides thereof has been added.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for obtaining a high-hydrogen, low-carbon-monoxide gas which is suitable for feeding low-temperature fuel cells in electric vehicles. A high-hydrogen gas mixture is generated by means of a methanol reforming reaction, using a Cu- and ZrO-containing catalyst material. The carbon monoxide content of the gas is decreased to a concentration of less than approximately 100 ppm by means of a selective methanization using a Ru- and TiO.sub.2 -containing catalyst material and/or by means of a selective oxidation using a Pt- and TiO.sub.2 -containing catalyst material.

Abstract: In a fuel injector for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine including an injector housing with an injection nozzle controlled by a valve needle extending through a cylindrical fuel pressure space from which fuel under pressure is supplied to the fuel injection nozzle, the fuel pressure space includes a flow limiting piston with a seating surface at its end adjacent the needle tip and the injector housing has a valve seat disposed opposite the piston seating surface for blocking fuel flow to the injector nozzle when the flow limiting piston is seated on the valve seat and the flow limiting piston is spring-biased away from the valve seat with a force which is sufficient to normally hold the flow limiting piston away from the valve seat, but which permits closing of the valve when the fuel flow to the injector nozzle becomes excessive.
Abstract: In a method of controlling adjustable operating parameters of an internal combustion engine with direct fuel injection which includes at least one cylinder having a piston delimiting a combustion chamber, a fuel injector and a spark plug, wherein air supplied to the combustion chamber through an air intake passage forms with the fuel injected by the fuel injector a fuel/air mixture which is compressed and produces a plasma cloud which is then ignited by a spark generated between the electrodes of the spark plug, the ionization degree of the plasma cloud is measured and an ionization signal is formed and supplied to an electronic control unit where it is utilized to control at least one operating parameter of the internal combustion engine.

Abstract: An active receiving antenna for vehicles, including a slot-shaped antenna cut into the metallic vehicle body, and having small-depth cavity filled with a dielectric material which closes off the antenna toward the back or interior of the vehicle. A low-noise preamplifier, which is integrated into the dielectric material, is connected to the antenna via two feed lines of different length. The desired polarizations of the received signals are set via this preamplifier, which can be changed over and be switched off.
Abstract: A controlled, saturated high frequency power amplifier, which can be used especially as a transmitting amplifier in a T/R module for a phase-controlled (radar) antenna for the X-band (8 GHz to 12 GHz). In this case, a portion of the HF output signal is utilized to generate a control signal, with which the output power is controlled nearly without loss via at least one gate connection for the HF power amplifier components, preferably, field effect transistors, that are components of the power amplifier. The power amplifier thus has a high degree of transmitting effectiveness, even with a pulsed transmitting operation.
Abstract: A process for operating a motor vehicle air conditioner, which contains a refrigerant circulating system with a compressor and an evaporator. The compressor is deactivated to protect against an insufficient amount of refrigerant being supplied to the compressor when the refrigerant pressure on the high-pressure side of the refrigerant circulating system falls below a definable value. The deactivation to protect against inadequate refrigerant levels is suppressed as long as the temperature of the motor vehicle engine coolant (which is utilized to heat an air flow blown by the air conditioner into the vehicle interior), is below a definable coolant temperature deactivation threshold value and the evaporator temperature is above a definable first evaporator temperature deactivation threshold value. The process can also be used to reduce the tendency of the vehicle's windows to fog up.
Abstract: Door entry area for a motor vehicle has a cover for a cable duct and a door entry rail joined by metal clamps with a sill flange lengthwise member. The cover for the cable duct has a strip-shaped projection that overlaps the sill flange by force and in a sealing fashion, and the door entry rail is designed as a T-section that has a central retaining member and two shaped legs that project approximately horizontally in the assembled state, with the retaining rib being lockable by means of a latching connection accessible for disassembly in a receiving groove of the cover that abuts the projection and runs along the sill flange.

Abstract: A vehicle seat has an upholstery which is integrated in both eat part and in the backrest. A ventilation layer is provided through which air can flow, and an air-permeable upholstery cover spans the surface facing the sitting person, as well as having devices for ventilating the ventilation layer. For improving the sitting climate comfort, which also includes a rapidly effective cooling of the seat surfaces heated by sun radiation when the vehicle is entered and the removal of the transpiration moisture, and also for avoiding disturbing air connection hoses between the vehicle seat and the air-conditioner, the ventilation layer is arranged on an upholstery layer. Devices for ventilating the ventilation layer have a plurality of electrically driven miniature fans integrated in the upholstery layer. One miniature fan respectively is arranged in an air duct penetrating the upholstery layer from the underside to the ventilation layer.
