Abstract: The invention is concerned with enzymic triglyceride conversions, wherein more than one enzymic conversion zone and preferably the same number of deacidifications units are applied. The fresh triglyceride feed stock and the compound providing fresh fatty acid moiety are introduced into different parts of the system so that fresh triglyceride is contacted with a mixture of the compound providing fatty acid moiety that is reduced in the amount of fatty acid moiety that should be introduced into the triglyceride.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of refining glyceride oil comprising the step of degumming said glyceride oil, wherein said degumming step is followed by a separation step in which undissolved and non-centrifugable particles are removed from said degummed oil. Preferably said degumming step is followed by a step of holding the degummed oil for such a period of time and under such temperature conditions as to cause agglomeration of said undissolved particles, and for an agent promoting the formation of undissolved particles and/or promoting the agglomeration of the undissolved particles is added to the oil.

Abstract: An improved process is described for obtaining triazacyclononanes, esepcially 1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononame. The first step involves reacting diethylenetriamine (DET) with a sulfonylation agent to form a sulfonamidated DET, in an aqueous medium with an inorganic base. In a second step, but preferably within the same reactor vessel without isolating intermediates, the sulfonamidated DET aqueous mixture is contacted with an aprotic organic solvent in the presence of a cyclizing unit such as ethylene glycol ditosylate or ethylene dibromide, thereby resulting in a cyclized sulfonamidated triamine compound. Thereafter the protecting groups are removed and the amine is alkylated, preferably within a single reaction vessel without isolation of intermediates.

Abstract: A skylight operator includes a chain drive driven by a motor. Polarity of power applied to the motor is controlled to selectively open or close the window. Polarity is controlled by an H-bridge switching circuit driven by a microcontroller. The microcontroller receives commands from any one of a plurality of control devices The operator includes a feedback circuit using a hall effect sensor in connection with a ring magnet on the motor shaft for sensing incremental movement of the motor, representing movement of the window. A potentiometer control device allows unattended full or partial opening of the window. A user need only turn the potentiometer knob to a desired amount of opening. The microcontroller in response to such a command compares the command to the feedback signal and controls the motor to minimize the difference between the two.
