The net structure includes a plurality of elongated arms, each arm extending radially from and having one of its ends pivotally attached to a central member which is positioned at a lower central portion of the net structure. Netting material is attached to each of the arms such that the netting is maintained in an open and extended position when the arms are moved to their extended angular positions. The netting material has its lower edge attached to a trough device for receiving balls falling from the netting. The trough has a central point thereof pivotally attached to the central member and being operatively attached to the robot server to feed balls to the server.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a light-tight roll-film cassette for holding and dispensing light sensitive material, having means to adjust the vertical position of the cassette in the exposure device, these means consisting of attachable spacers.
Abstract: A liquid electrostatic developer consisting essentially of(A) a nonpolar liquid having a Kauri-butanol value of less than 30 present in a major amount,(B) thermoplastic resin particles having dispersed therein an aromatic nitrogen-containing compound which is substantially insoluble or immiscible in the nonpolar liquid at ambient temperatures as defined herein, the resin particles having an average by area particle size of less than 10 .mu.m, and(C) a nonpolr liquid soluble ionic or zwitterionic charge director compound, and process for preparation. The developer is useful in copying and color proofing including digital color proofing, lithographic printing plates and resists.
Abstract: Biodegradable composite films comprising a starch containing blended polymeric film and a barrier material coated or laminated to the blended film. The use of such composite films in ostomy pouches and other medical products is described. Also described is an ostomy pouch construction in which an adhesive label is affixed to the pouch so as to reduce the escape of odor from the stomal aperture.

Abstract: A pair of flat plates with two rectangular sides provide corner pieces which fit over the top edges of bricks at opposite ends of a structure. Each plate includes a raised tab and extending finger which receive a line or string to be held taut between the two end pieces. The string serves as a linear guide for laying bricks in a straight line between the two ends. The device provides a simplified tool which saves time and effort in achieving the desired linear brick construction.

Abstract: A portable storage unit with multiple linear pockets to carry a large assortment of embroidery floss of different variety and color, and a means to facilitate storage of embroidery floss into the pockets using a special tool.
Abstract: A process for simultaneously drying and heat treating wet spun fibers of greater than 20 percent water based on weight of dry fiber material supplied continuously in multiple wraps around a pair of rolls in a heated zone, at a tension of 0.2 to 6 grams per denier at the beginning of the zone, with gas jets extending around each of the rolls for about 45 to 180 to direct turbulent gas at a temperature of 200 to 660 C against the fibers under tension in the zone until the residual moisture in the fibers is from 0.5 to 10 percent water based on weight of dry fiber material.
Abstract: Photographic silver halide emulsion, sensitized for infrared spectral region, containing an aromatic thiosulfonic acid or a salt of the acid. The emulsion is useful for preparing photographic elements having sensitivity in the infrared spectral region.
Abstract: Time-delay circuit for automatic shutdown of furnace systems has an induced draft blower motor and a first circuit for providing energy to the blower motor from an energy source. A second circuit for energizing the primary control system of the furnace, includes a thermostat and an electronic switching means. When the thermostat is "closed", the second circuit is completed to energize the electronic switching element which starts the blower. An airflow switch is provided to sense the start of the blower and to thereby energize a primary control which provides gas to a burner of the furnace. A timer set to a predetermined time interval has an output and two input terminal connections, one connected to the output of the thermostat and another to the output of the primary control system. When the thermostat is "closed" and the burner is operating, the timer is disabled.
Abstract: The cavity resonator is composed of a closed metallic body transversely subdivided into two parts, housing a small dielectric cylinder, which is held in coaxial position inside the cavity by two small quartz plates provided with a centering indentation. Holes are provided in the lateral surface for tuning screws and an access connector and coupling irises can be cut in the bases.

Abstract: An improved gas-phase process for the manufacture of 1,1,1-trifluorodichloroethane and/or 1,1,1,2-tetrafluorochloroethane by contacting a suitable tetrahaloethylene with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of a selected metal in combination with a high fluorine content aluminum-containing compound, the reaction being conducted under controlled conditions whereby the production of pentafluoroethane is minimized.
Abstract: A tarpaulin side kit for use with a separate top cover in covering a load on a vehicle having a flat bed and a plurality of post brackets mounted at spaced apart locations along the periphery of the flat bed. The side kit includes a plurality of longitudinally arranged inverted U-shaped bows, a plurality of side posts, and a plurality of side cover sections formed of a flexible, sheet-like tarp material. The side cover sections each have a plurality of pocket sized to receive the posts and support the side cover sections from slipping down on the posts. A weather flap extends along the length of each of the side cover sections and overlies the flat bed to protect the load from weather. A plurality of stake extensions are also provided to permit use of the side kit with higher standing loads. The bows, side posts and stake extension are conveniently stored in carries mounted to the underside of the bed of the vehicle.
Abstract: An increase in the disastereoselectivity resulting from the reaction of a phosphinic acid ester of the formula ##STR1## with the halo ester of the formula ##STR2## is achieved by carrying out the reaction in the presence of 4-methylmorpholine, diazabicyclooctane, quinuclidine, 1-methylpyrolidine, or cinchonidine. After removal of the R.sub.3 protecting group and fractional crystallization, the resulting desired diastereomeric pair can be resolved, and the desired isomer can be coupled to 4-substituted L-proline to give compounds possessing angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity. In particular, the process is useful in producing the antihypertensive agent fosinopril sodium in increased yields.
Abstract: Improved process for the preparation of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane by the steps of chlorofluorination of selected organic compounds using Cl.sub.2 and HF followed by hydrogenolysis of the resulting products, the improvement residing in the use of excess HF and recycle of the unreacted compounds and byproducts to the chlorofluorination step.
Abstract: An improved one-piece protective coveralls of the type affording a barrier and thermal protection against hot and/or corrosive liquids. The coveralls include a generally continuous outer shell of woven aramid fabric covered by a liquid impervious layer and a corresponding inner multilayer thermally insulating liner inside of the outer shell. The inner liner is fabricated from at least one layer of low density nonwoven fabric fastened to a woven fabric. The improved coveralls include an elongate underarm opening under each arm of the liner extending downwardly from the position of the wearer's armpit into and along the underside of the sleeve and downwardly into and along the side of the torso portion. An elongated leg inseam opening is provided on the underside of the torso portion of said liner fabric and which extends from position of the wearer's crotch downwardly into and along the inside of each leg.
