Patent number: 4349984Abstract: A simple preschool assembly toy for young children which comprises at least three relatively large parts that are assembled together by the child to provide a representation of a recognizable object such as a toy vehicle and driver. A first and a second part are positioned adjacent to one another and include mechanically inter-engaging elements which limits relative movement between these parts only in a first direction, while allowing them to be separated in a second direction generally transverse to the first direction. A third part is positionable adjacent to the other parts, and second inter-engaging elements are provided on the third part and one of the other parts to limit relative movement between the parts in the second direction. The second inter-engaging elements may be engaged and disengaged by motion only in the second direction; as for example by the provision of magnets.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 1981Date of Patent: September 21, 1982Assignee: Adolph E. Patent number: 4349812Abstract: A plurality of fire, smoke, security or other detectors of the type which respond to the existence of a predetermined condition are each connected to an input circuit. Each input circuit is connected to one indicator circuit and when a detector is triggered, the input circuit associated with that detector generates a signal which in turn actuates and latches on the corresponding indicator circuit. The indicator circuit remains latched on even after the detector returns to an untriggered condition and the input circuit signal is removed. A first release circuit is provided to release all indicator circuits which have been latched on. When a predetermined number of detectors simultaneously respond to their respective predetermined conditions, an alarm signal generates an input to by-pass the first release circuit, thus precluding the first release circuit from releasing the plurality of indicator circuits.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 1981Date of Patent: September 14, 1982Assignee: W. Patent number: 4349576Abstract: Vegetable proteins may be converted into isolates which are useful for preparing imitation cheese products. These unique isolates are characterized in general as: having an NSI of at least 90, having not been subjected to enzymatic or chemical hydrolysis, forming an insoluble gel when reconstituted in water at a 15% by weight protein isolate concentration and heated to 85.degree. C. for 30 minutes, and yielding a melt value of at least 15 cm.sup.2. The isolates are prepared under conditions which precondition the protein molecules so that they may be converted, upon heat treatment, into protein aggregates which simulate the hydrocolloidal attributes of caseinate. The heat treatment causes restructuring of the proteinaceous molecules into large molecular weight aggregates.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 1980Date of Patent: September 14, 1982Assignee: A. E. Patent number: 4348753Abstract: An electro-mechanical pulse generator for producing electronic pulses to set or correct the readout of an electronic digital display. Two contact assemblies rotatable relative to one another cooperate to close at least two pairs of electric contact elements to produce at least two pulses.
