Abstract: This invention is directed to a heat exchanged membrane reactor for electric power generation. More specifically, the invention comprises a membrane reactor system that employs catalytic or thermal steam reforming and a water gas shift reaction on one side of the membrane, and hydrogen combustion on the other side of the membrane. Heat of combustion is exchanged through the membrane to heat the hydrocarbon fuel and provide heat for the reforming reaction. In one embodiment, the hydrogen is combusted with compressed air to power a turbine to produce electricity. A carbon dioxide product stream is produced in inherently separated form and at pressure to facilitate injection of the CO2 into a well for the purpose of sequestering carbon from the earth's atmosphere.

Abstract: A high quality optical disc with extremely tiny bubbles or bubble less present in both disc-shaped substrates when they are laminated by means of an adhesive sheet in a operation process. The method includes bonding the adhesive agent to the surface of the lower disc-shaped substrate placing the upper disc-shaped substrate on the adhesive applied to lower disc-shaped substrate, pressurizing the upper disc-shaped substrate against the lower disc-shaped substrate by means of the pressing body, and exposing both the disk-shaped substrates to a high-pressure atmosphere. In a next operation process in which both the disc-shaped substrates are left to the inside of a high pressure atmosphere, firstly pressing body is permitted to press against the disc-shaped substrates to so enlarge or magnify the contact portion from the center side to the outside to render high-pressure atmospheric.
Abstract: In an embodiment, the invention relates to a method for reducing coke agglomeration in petroleum streams derived from coking processes. In a preferred embodiment, the invention relates to a method for mitigating filter fouling from a coker gas oil wherein an oxygen scavenger is employed to remove molecular oxygen and peroxides.

Abstract: An optical magnification adjustment system being capable of minutely correcting magnification. A first lens 1 of plano-convex is installed on the side of an object surface 5, and a second lens 2 of concave-plano is installed on the side of a formed image surface 7. By controlling the center space d between the first lens and the second lens, the image is enlarged or reduced. The radii of curvature R2 and R3 of the convex surface of the first lens and the concave surface of the second lens are respectively set according to the following equations.
R2=(1−n1)/&phgr;2
R3=(n2−1)/&phgr;3
where,
&phgr;2 and &phgr;3 represent optical power, and
n1 and n2 represent refraction indexes, respectively.

Abstract: In a PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) apparatus including a reaction chamber; plural susceptors installed inside the reaction chamber and horizontally mounted with a wafer respectively; a heating means for heating the susceptors; a power supply unit installed outside of the reaction chamber; a plasma electrode receiving RF power from the power supply unit, generating and maintaining plasma inside the reaction chamber; and a rotation jet spray having two spray injectors horizontally rotating and supplying gas inside the reaction chamber, a thin film is deposited by supplying BTMSM vapor and oxygen retaining gas through the spray injector, supplying hydrogen retaining gas through the other spray injector and horizontally rotating the spray injectors in the supply. Herein, a pressure in the reaction chamber is in the range of 0.1 Torr˜1 Torr, the wafer is heated at 25° C.˜400° C., and RF power in the range of 100 W˜2000 W is applied.
Abstract: A combustion control device and a method for a direct injection engine are disclosed wherein, when the engine is operating in the partial load range, the valve opening/closing mode of an intake valve and/or an exhaust valve is controlled so that exhaust gases remain in a combustion chamber; and control is performed such that fuel is injected from a fuel injection valve into residual exhaust gases at least once during the time period from the latter half of an exhaust stroke to the first half of an intake stroke in one combustion cycle, and that an air-fuel mixture is ignited in the latter half of a compression stroke thereafter.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of metal substrate catalytic converter and the resulting product. In this method, a multiple layer aluminum and ferritic stainless steel composite material is first made by roll-bonding and then further processed to a final foil thickness. The composite foils are then fabricated to a honeycomb-like converter with air flow channels. The converter is then thermally treated at a high temperature during a necessary converter fabrication process. The monolithic FeCrAl alloy is then obtained in the converter by in-situ diffusion alloying with pre-oxide film on the surfaces. The resulted material has improved oxidation resistance and thermal dimension stability at a high temperature.
Abstract: A die coating for use on the surface of a metal mold or die component contacted by molten metal in low pressure or gravity die casting, and a method for its production. The die coating includes a porous layer of ceramic material produced by co-deposition, using a thermal spraying procedure, of a powder of said ceramic material and a powder of an organic polymer material. After the co-deposition, the co-deposited layer is heated to remove the polymer material, and provide the porous layer of ceramic material.
