Abstract: A moisture removal device for an internal combustion engine use exhaust gas purifying device with a trapped moisture amount estimation means which estimates amount of moisture exhausted from an internal combustion engine and trapped in the catalyst, a judgement means which judges whether the estimated value of the trapped moisture amount exceeds a predetermined amount, and means for controlling removal of the moisture trapped in the catalyst, wherein when the estimated value of moisture trapped in the catalyst exceeds the predetermined value, a control of removing the moisture in the catalyst is performed. Whereby, since the moisture trapped by the catalyst can be removed and a possible elution of the catalyst components can be prevented, reduction of exhaust gas purifying performance of the catalyst can be prevented.

Abstract: An acid test kit uses an indicator paper in a transparent tube which is easily and temporarily inserted in a Schrader-valve at a compressor suction inlet of a refrigeration system. The simplicity, yet sufficient accuracy, of the kit permits several different ways of holding the paper in the tube through a friction fit. One way is to sandwich the paper between a tapered holder which is folded to provide a nose for actuating the Schrader valve. Another way is to provide the paper on or over a cylindrical member. A method for using the test kit including allowing vapor refrigerant from the system to pass through the tube to the atmosphere.
Abstract: In a simultaneous-linear-equations solving method of calculating the numerical solutions of simultaneous linear equations having a coefficient matrix, all the elements of coefficient matrix elements including zero elements and all the elements of right-side vector elements are stored into an array. Next, a non-zero-structure-specifying index table is created which indicates the row number of a terminal-end non-zero element in each column and the column number of a terminal-end non-zero element in each row within the array. Moreover, a decomposition processing is executed toward the elements existing within a range indicated by the created index table. Finally, a forward/backward substitution processing is executed toward the coefficient matrix elements subjected to the decomposition processing and the right-side vector elements stored into the array, thereby determining the numerical solutions.

Abstract: The upper and lower halves of a blow mold define a blow mold cavity when the halves are closed together. A bottom plug which serves to form a dome in the bottom of the blown bottle is shifted into and out of a cooperating relationship with the two mold halves by cam mechanism that operates in response to raising and lowering of the upper die set upon which the upper mold half is mounted. The actuating mechanism comprises a pair of mutually opposed cam rods having a follower trapped therebetween that is in turn coupled with the bottom plug so that as the cam rods are shifted with the upper die set, the follower reacts to cam surfaces on the rods to impart a corresponding extension and retraction motion to the bottom plug. To handle multiple, side-by-side blow mold cavities, the bottom plugs for such cavities are ganged together on a common support bar that is in turn provided with operating shanks, each provided with a cam follower operated by a cam assembly.
Abstract: A face-to-face multi-chip flip-chip package includes a first chip, at least a second chip and a package substrate. The package substrate has a top surface, a bottom surface and a concave wall between the top surface and the bottom surface. The second chip is flip-chip mounted on active surface of the first chip. The first chip is mounted on the package substrate so that the second chip is placed inside a chip accommodation space of the package substrate which is defined by the concave wall. A side surface of the second chip is a progressive distance from the chip accommodation space for lessening capillary flow of underfilling material between the concave wall of the package substrate and the side surface of the second chip during dispensing the underfilling material.

Abstract: The invention provides a radar system, which can increase a crossrange detection speed in the lane change state by employing a steering angle sensor, etc. loaded on a vehicle without providing additional hardware. A lane-change determining unit receives a yaw rate response from a steering angle sensor, etc., and determines whether the radar-loaded vehicle is in the steering operation for lane change. If the radar-loaded vehicle is in the lane change state, a gain setting unit shifts a tracker gain to a larger value than that in ordinary running, and calculates a range, a crossrange, a relative velocity, etc. relative to a target from the results of tracker processing executed by a filtering unit. By using the calculated range, crossrange, relative velocity, etc., a control determining unit determines whether there is a collision risk, and whether steering operation to avoid a collision is required.
