Abstract: The present invention relates to a substrate strip with sides having flanges and recesses. The substrate strip is obtained by cutting a panel where a plurality of substrate strips can be arrayed. The substrate strip comprises a first side and a second side. The first side comprises a plurality of first flanges and a plurality of first recesses defined between the first flanges. The second side comprises a plurality of second flanges and a plurality of second recesses defined between the second flanges. The complementary shapes of the first side and the second side are suitable for arraying the two substrate strips most closely, and the most substrate strips can be cut from the panel. Accordingly, waste of the panel can be avoided. The cost of the panel is enormously slashed and the total cost of manufacture is reduced thereby.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a packaging substrate with electrostatic discharge protection. The packaging substrate is disposed in a recess of a mold and comprises an outer wall electrically connecting an inner wall of the recess. A first copper-mesh layer and a second copper-mesh layer extend to the outer wall to electrically connect the inner wall of the recess. Static electric charges generated during the molding process are conducted via the first copper-mesh layer or the second copper-mesh layer to the inner wall of the recess and then conducted away. Therefore, the static electric charges generated during the molding process can be safely conducted away from the packaging substrate, preventing the dies to be packaged from damage due to electrostatic discharge so as to raise the yield rate of semiconductor package products.

Abstract: A method of forming bumps on the active surface of a silicon wafer. An under-ball metallic layer is formed over the active surface of the wafer. A plurality of first solder blocks is attached to the upper surface of the under-ball metallic layer. Each first solder block has an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface of each first solder block bonds with the under-ball metallic layer. The upper surfaces of the first solder blocks are planarized. A second solder block is attached to the upper surface of each first solder block and then a reflow operation is carried out.

Abstract: An apparatus providing effective control of fluid temperature to achieve temperature control precision of ±0.1° F. at flow rates exceeding five gallons/minute includes a hot and a cold reservoir of process fluid maintained at their desired temperatures by a high-accuracy industrial chiller and an industrial heater, respectively. A control valve mixes fluid from the reservoirs to produce a precisely controlled stream of process fluid delivered to the point of usage. Another flow control valve maintains system flow at a precise value.

Abstract: A reinforced-concrete column contains reinforcing cage and inserts made monolithic with concrete mix and comprises the upper bearing and lower foundation parts. The method of construction of the column includes operations of manufacture of the column reinforcing cage with inserts, placement of concrete in the non-removable casing in the project position in single- or multi-slit pit with the column making monolithic. The column reinforcing cage is loaded vertically into the pit, centered vertically, and the upper part is fixed from horizontal displacements, the lower foundation part of the column and the inner part of the non-removable casing with the closed-type casing in the upper bearing part of the column are made monolithic with concrete from down to top. After making monolithic, the soil base is widened and cemented via the process pipeline placed inside the reinforcing cage; the space between the non-removable casing and the pit walls in the upper bearing part is filled with granular material.
Abstract: The invention provides a tray support plate assembly instead of a single cast unitary part for a tray carrier used in a mogul machine. The high wear or failure areas of the tray support plate assembly have been designed as removable and replaceable separate parts that are fastened onto the tray support plate. The support plate may be machined from aluminum billet material. The individual parts such as the end pick plate may also be made of aluminum plate material. Preferably the cam plate is made of steel material. A pair of cam mechanisms can be provided on opposed sides of the tray support plate.
Abstract: A transfer chamber for a cluster system includes a first body, a second body attached at one side of the first body, and a cover combined with an upper portion of the first body. The transfer chamber further includes a third body at another side of the first body, wherein the third body has the same shape as the second body.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and process for treating sulfur at an elevated pressure. Embodiments of the system comprise a vessel into which the sulfur is injected and a device for alleviating the pressure of the sulfur.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for aligning a door of an aircraft to a passenger loading bridge. A final parking position of the aircraft is defined as being immediately adjacent to a position of the passenger loading bridge, such that when the aircraft is stopped at the final parking position, the passenger loading bridge requires only a telescopic extension of less than about 1 meter to complete the alignment operation. To this end, an indicating device that works cooperatively with an aircraft-engaging end of the passenger loading bridge is provided for displaying human intelligible instructions for use by a pilot of the aircraft to guide the aircraft to the final parking position.

Abstract: A friction clutch includes a housing arrangement having an axis of rotation and an intermediate plate arrangement coupled to the housing arrangement for joint rotation therewith about an axis of rotation. The intermediate plate arrangement is arranged to transmit a pressure force and is preferably arranged between two frictional output members. The intermediate plate arrangement has two intermediate plate elements and an elastic prestressing arrangement therebetween. The two intermediate plate elements being displaceable with respect to one another counter to the action of the elastic prestressing arrangement.

Abstract: A structure of flip chip package with an area bump has at least a chip (also known as a die), a substrate, a plurality of first bumps (normal bumps) and at least a second bump (area bump), wherein the first bumps are electrically and mechanically connected to one of first bonding pads and the corresponding one of first contact pads. The second bump is electrically and mechanically connected to a second bonding pad and the corresponding second contact pad of the substrate, wherein the size of the second bump is larger than one of the first bumps. Because the size of the second bump is larger than one of the first bumps, the structure has much better electrical performance and performance of heat dissipation.

Abstract: A process for producing distillate boiling range streams that are low in both sulfur and aromatics. A distillate feedstock is treated in a first hydrodesulfurization stage in the presence of a hydrogen-containing treat gas and a hydrodesulfurization catalyst, thereby resulting in partial desufurization of the stream. The partially desulfurized distillate stream is then treated in a second hydrodesulfurization stage, also in the presence of a hydrogen-containing treat gas and a hydrodesulfurization catalyst. The hydrogen-containing treat gas is cascaded from the next downstream reaction stage, which is an aromatics hydrogenation stage.
