Abstract: The subject matter disclosed in this specification pertains to the transfer of compounds of interest into a target biological cell. Specifically, discrete particles that are surrounded in three dimensions with phospholipid bilayers are provided wherein the compound of interest (e.g.) a protein are free to laterally move within the bilayer. The particles may be embedded within a hydrogel matrix. In some embodiments, stem cells are co-cultured in the hydrogel matrix to facilitate the absorption of the compound of interest.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a semiconductor light-emitting device having a two-stage photonic crystal pattern formed thereon, and to a method for manufacturing same. According to the present invention, a second photonic crystal pattern is formed inside a first photonic crystal pattern formed on a semiconductor layer or transparent electrode layer, in order to improve light extraction efficiency. Also, according to the present invention, in order to form a second fine nanoscale photonic crystal pattern in the first photonic crystal pattern, a nanosphere lithography process employing polymer beads is used, and a trapping layer made of a thermoplastic resin was used to conveniently form polymer beads in a single layer so as to eliminate the inconvenience of having to calculate and change process variables according to polymer bead sizes in traditional nanosphere lithography processes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method of preventing fault-injection attacks on Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT)-Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) cryptographic operations, and a recording medium for storing a program implementing the same. First, the method receives first and second primes, that is, different primes, and a randomly selected prime, that is, a random prime, which are used for CRT-RSA cryptographic operations. Thereafter, a cumulative value is calculated by performing an XOR (Exclusive OR) operation on the first prime, the second prime, and the random prime using a push function. Thereafter, the first prime, the second prime, and the random prime are loaded by performing an XOR operation on the cumulative value using a pop function corresponding to the push function. Finally, CRT-RSA operations are executed by computing modulo operations based on the first prime and the second prime.

Abstract: A method for reconstructing a high quality image from undersampled image data is provided. The image reconstruction method is applicable to a number of different imaging modalities. Specifically, the present invention provides an image reconstruction method that incorporates an appropriate prior image into the image reconstruction process. Thus, one aspect of the present invention is to provide an image reconstruction method that requires less number of data samples to reconstruct an accurate reconstruction of a desired image than previous methods, such as, compressed sensing. Another aspect of the invention is to provide an image reconstruction method that imparts the signal-to-noise ratio of a prior image to the desired image being reconstructed. Another aspect of the invention is to provide an image reconstruction method that, when practiced in the field of x-ray imaging, allows for exposing a subject to substantially less radiation dose than is required in conventional x-ray imaging techniques.
Abstract: A reel-to-reel aerosol collection and storage system for capturing and storing a plurality of separate samples of aerosol particles using electrostatic precipitation technology for collecting such particles onto a tape mechanism for analysis at a future time. The particles are collected onto a region of the collection tape for a defined period of time and then that portion of the collection tape is advanced out of the collection zone and manipulated so as to form sealed pouches or pockets which can be either severed from the collection tape for individual storage in a temperature controlled storage container, or which can be stored on a take-up reel in a temperature controlled environment. The collected aerosol particles are stored with a buffer fluid to preserve and maintain the viability of the collected particles for future extraction and analysis. Several embodiments for forming sealed pouches or pockets and methods of storing the collected particles are disclosed.
