  • Patent number: 9235310
Abstract: A resistive touch screen controller provides two-finger gesture recognition. Current mirror circuitry, coupled to the XP/XN and YP/YN conductors, generates a screen current IL corresponding to X/y plate currents, and a corresponding mirror current IL/N. A variable resistor receives mirror current IL/N, and a resistance controller sets the resistance value R1 of the variable resistor, and monitors a variable resistor voltage VR1 based on IL/N*R1. A processor determines calibration voltages for the X and Y plates corresponding to the mirror current IL/N for X/Y voltage values of VR1 for a no touch condition, and X/Y offset voltages VOFS and HOFS of VR1 for a two touch condition. For a two touch condition, the processor determines touch resistance relative to no touch, and generates an adjusted X/Y plate resistance ?X/?Y based on VOFS/HOFS, and based on X/Y, determines a distance and angle between the two touches.

  • Patent number: 9231409
Abstract: This invention is a System On a Chip (SOC) requiring two tamper resistant externally generated power supplies. A first, higher power supply powers I/O and analog circuits. A second, lower power supply powers digital circuits and memory. A first voltage monitor circuit powered by said first power supply generates a first output signal when the first power supply is below an operational limit high level. A second voltage monitor circuit powered by said first power supply indicates when the second power supply is above an operational high limit level. A power switch is controlled by the first voltage monitor circuit. This power switch connects the second power supply and second load when closed and isolates them when open. Thus the memory cannot be accessed when the I/O and analog power supply is out of specification.

  • Patent number: 9230296
Abstract: A method of controlling micromirrors of reset groups of a spatial light modulator (SLM) digital micromirror array is disclosed. In a first reset operation, the positions of a first subgroup of micromirrors of a reset group are set based on a first portion of a first bitplane and the positions of a second subgroup of micromirrors of the same reset group are set based on a first portion of a second bitplane. Then, in a second reset operation, the positions of the first subgroup are set based on a second portion of the second bitplane and the positions of the second subgroup are set based on a second portion of a first bitplane. In one example, subsets of alternating rows of micromirrors of the same reset group are successively set according to alternating data corresponding to different ones of first and second bitplanes.

  • Patent number: 9231658
Abstract: Systems and methods for setting a Network Allocation Vector (NAV) in a PLC node are disclosed. In a PLC standard, coexistence is achieved by having the nodes detect a common preamble and backing off by a Coexistence InterFrame Space (cEIFS) time period to help the node to avoid interfering with the other technologies. In one embodiment, a PHY primitive is sent from the PHY to the MAC know that there has been a preamble detection. A two-level indication may be used—one indication after receiving the preamble and other indication after decoding the entire frame. The MAC sets NAV to EIFS if a native preamble is detected. The MAC sets NAV to cEIFS if only a coexistence preamble is detected or if a non-native preamble is detected.
