Abstract: A method of fabricating shaped particles is disclosed. The method involves generating a plurality of droplets within dispersion media (e.g., oil and surfactant), the plurality of droplets formed from a mixture of precursor materials that are in a miscible state. A stimulus or change of conditions is then introduced to the droplets so as to cause the mixture of precursor materials to become immiscible and phase-separate from one another. The phase-separated droplets are then crosslinked to form shaped particles. The stimulus or change of conditions may include one or more of the following: a change in temperature, a change in pH, a change in osmolarity, a change composition of the droplets, a change in the composition of the dispersion media. The shaped particles may be washed to remove un-crosslinked material and one or more affinity capture agents may be immobilized onto the shaped particles.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of digital signal processing, and in particular to a Costas sequence time-frequency joint synchronization method based on all-phase spectrum correction. The method improves the defects existing in a discrete frequency spectrum correction algorithm using short-time Fourier transform and sliding correlation. The improvement mainly comprises: the present disclosure provides a solution based on iterative optimization: when an actual frequency offset is an integral multiple of the spectral resolution, a large error can occur, frequency offset correction and time delay correction are carried out on a signal by using an estimated value having a large estimated error, then estimation is carried out again, and the frequency offset of the signal is not a special value by means of an iteration mode.

Abstract: An artery can be occluded by implanting an occlusion implant within a subintimal space within a wall of the artery. As an example, a catheter having a side port just proximal of an inflatable balloon disposed near a distal end of the catheter can be advanced through the artery to a site at which an occlusion is desired. The inflatable balloon can be inflated and a guidewire can be advanced through a lumen of the catheter, out of the side port and into a subintimal space of the artery, with the inflated inflatable balloon guiding the guidewire towards the artery wall. An occlusion implant can be advanced over the guidewire into the subintimal space and the guidewire can be withdrawn, leaving the occlusion implant positioned within the subintimal space.
