Abstract: An intraocular lens (IOL) has a small, central lens suspended within a pliable housing and, when the housing is filled with liquid, is coaxially aligned with a second small lens embedded in the wall of the housing. The suspension is on a dome- or other-shaped webbing attached to an inner circumference of the wall. When filled with liquid, forces squeezing or pulling the equator of the housing, as with ciliary muscles in the eye, adjust a distance between the lenses in order to adjust focus. Optional haptics may project from points on or above and below the equator. A recess in the posterior hemisphere of the housing can keep cell growth away from an optical axis of the lens system. A third small lens can be embedded in an opposite wall of the housing and coaxially aligned with the other lenses to form a three-lens, ultra-zoom system.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for a healthcare ecosystem of computing devices participating as nodes of a distributed ledger (e.g., blockchain). The distributed ledger includes NFTs representing corresponding patients, where the initial NET behaves logically as a token scaffold that represents a “digital twin” of the particular patient. The initial patient token represents personal profile data of patient personal data for the patient. The nodes may generate new data and/or new sub-tokens (or other blockchain entry type) representing new data, which the nodes associate with the token scaffold. The sub-tokens contain data for representing physical or digital specimens, health data, and data derived from the health data (e.g., cell lines, organoids, other model systems).

Abstract: System for effecting a reversible sensory block includes a hybrid neuromodulator and hybrid lead for delivering electrical and pharmacological stimulation. An implantable modulator provides electrical pulse generation and pharmacological fluid infusion. Method for effecting a reversible sensory block delivers low-frequency stimulation based on the conduction velocity of a target afferent. Afferents with different conduction velocities may be blocked by stimulation with different frequencies. Temporally synchronized pulse stimuli from multiple stimulating electrodes may interfere with each other to stimulate a specific afferent. Spatial summation of synchronized low-frequency pulse stimulation may be delivered at multi-sites. Temporal interference of two kilohertz sinusoidal stimuli with slight frequency difference deliver a low-frequency sinusoidal stimulus at a focal region of interference. Spatial summation translates to evoked action potentials that converge at T-junction of a targeted afferent.
