    Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) includes a field-plated transistor including a substrate having a semiconductor surface layer, at least one body region in the semiconductor surface layer, and at least a first trench isolation region adjacent to the body region having at least a first tapered sidewall that has an average angle along its full length of 15 to 70 degrees. A gate is over the body region. A field plate is over the first tapered trench isolation region. A source is on one side of the field plate and a drain is on an opposite side of the field plate. The IC also includes circuitry for realizing at least one circuit function having a plurality of transistors which are configured together with the field-plated transistor that utilize second trench isolation regions for isolation that have an average angle of 75 and 90 degrees.

For each of a plurality of frames in the video, the computing device identifies facial regions of individuals depicted in the video, generates candidate facial feature vectors for each of the identified facial regions, compares each of the candidate facial feature vectors to the target facial feature vector, and applies one or more facial effects to facial regions based on the comparison to generate an edited video.

    Abstract: A method for shaping video streams applied to a first set-up box collects watching history of user and previous playback information and analyzes same to generate multiple bitrate combinations. First and second stream buffers of two respective video streams are initialized according to the bitrate combinations and the history. First and second image chunks of the first and second video streams are downloaded and stored in the first and second stream buffers and displayed in a first display device connecting to the first set-up box. Buffer ratios are determined and when the buffer ratio of the first is equal to the second, image chunks are continued to be downloaded from the second. If the buffer ratio of the first is not equal to the second, the video stream with smaller stream buffer ratio is selected for continuing to download the image chunks.

    Abstract: A method for image based authentication of a human computer user as opposed to a robot is applied in a server. The server generates a CAPTCHA image and preprocesses the CAPTCHA image. The CAPTCHA image is preprocessed by halftoning and mapping pixel sparsity onto pre-computed levels by block based operation. The server then encrypts the preprocessed CAPTCHA image into two shared images and transmits same to the client device. The client device renders the two shared images on a display through a user interface to facilitate superimposition of the two shared images and the user can visually decrypt the preprocessed CAPTCHA image and input an authentication code according to the CAPTCHA characters.
