  • Patent number: 7149121
Abstract: A nonvolatile memory array is associated with counting memory that stores data on a number of times a particular threshold state is reached in the associated nonvolatile memory. The aging physical characteristics of the nonvolatile memory can be compensated by adjusting the operating conditions of the nonvolatile memory. The operating conditions vary depending on the data stored in the counting memory.

  • Publication number: 20060268429
Abstract: A suspension apparatus comprises a lens holder, a suspension spring and a supporting base. The supporting base is formed with an opening for accommodating the lens holder. The lens holder is for positioning a lens unit. The suspension spring is manufactured by stamping process to form a long strip with a plurality of suspension springs. The strip is then guided into a mold, and plastic injection molding process is performed in that mold so as to produce the lens holder and supporting base affixed respectively to either end of the suspension spring in one piece. After that, excess material of the strip is cut off. The suspension apparatus as above described is suitable for mass production. In addition, because of the high precision of mold, the inaccuracy of assembly and fabrication is minimized. The volume of the whole apparatus and the cost of production are also vastly decreased.

  • Publication number: 20060245337
Abstract: A method in which, during an optimal power calibration (OPC) process, an optical disk drive performs a plurality of write tests to an optical disk at a plurality of test powers and measures a corresponding plurality of modulation signal strength values of the optical disk for the plurality of write tests to generate a modulation signal strength versus power curve. The method then determines possible gamma lines corresponding to considered powers, and selects a considered power as a target power of the optical disk drive when a possible gamma line is substantially tangential to the modulation signal strength versus power curve at the considered power. According to the method, powers within a domain of the plurality of test powers are considered until a considered power is selected as the target power for the optical disk.

  • Publication number: 20060197798
Abstract: A maintenance device for shielding a print-head includes a casing having a first traveling path and a second traveling path transverse to the first traveling path, a sliding member disposed back and forth along the first traveling path; and a shielding unit including a seat movable back and forth along the second traveling path, and having two flanges for engaging a guiding track unit of the sliding member, and a shield fixed on the seat. Movement of the sliding member along the first traveling path in a first direction results in pushing of the seat by the sliding member, thereby moving the seat along the second traveling path so as to press the shield against the print-head. Movement of the sliding member along the first traveling path in a second direction results in removal of the shield from the print-head.

  • Publication number: 20060155772
Abstract: There may be circumstances under which the user may wish the convenience of being able to insert a textual block into the file of a particular document without having to open the file of the receiving document and displaying the receiving document. Indicating a block of data in a displayed document to be copied to another selected document in combination with locating the data file of this selected target document and then copying the indicated block of data into the file of the selected target document without displaying this target document during the copying. Since the target document file is not opened so that the target document may be displayed, it is preferable that a position in the file of the target document be preselected and the textual data block being transferred placed at that preselected position.

  • Publication number: 20060134814
Abstract: The present invention discloses a self-alignment manufacturing method of a microlens and an aperture using in an optical device. The method manufactures the aperture and the circular opening in the opaque film on a transparent substrate, and utilizes the self-alignment backside exposure technology to precisely integrate the aperture and the microlens made by macromolecule material without any combination step. The claimed method is simpler than conventional technology and can precisely align and integrate the microlens and the aperture with a continuous batch manufacture. Since the aperture and the circular opening are concentric circles and formed in same step, the microlens and the aperture can be precisely aligned with the backside exposure. The claimed invention can effectively improve the optical resolution and efficiency of the optical access and measurement devices.

  • Patent number: 7060567
Abstract: A method for fabricating trench power MOSFET is described. An epitaxial layer and a mask layer having a first opening are sequentially formed on a substrate. A pair of spacers is formed on the sidewalls of the first opening. A second opening exposing the surface of the epitaxial layer is formed by removing a portion of the mask layer. The spacers are removed and then a trench is formed in the epitaxial layer using the mask layer as a mask. The mask layer is removed and a gate oxide layer is formed over the epitaxial layer and the surface of the trench. A gate layer is formed to fill the trench. A body well region is formed in the epitaxial layer adjacent to the sidewalls of the trench. A source region is formed in the body well region on each side at the top of the trench.

  • Publication number: 20060109718
Abstract: An ultra cycling nitride read only memory (NROM) device is coupled to a NROM array such that both bits of the ultra cycling NROM device will be erased when all NROM devices of the NROM array are erased. The ultra cycling NROM device is then programmed at its right bit. A threshold voltage difference will be obtained for the ultra cycling NROM device for the un-programmed left bit. Next, a cycling number is obtained based on the threshold voltage difference for the ultra cycling NROM device. A threshold voltage shift can be found based on the cycling number for the NROM array. Finally, an erase voltage will be calculated according to the threshold voltage shift for the NROM array. If the NROM array is programmed again, the erase voltage will be applied to un-programmed NROM devices of the NROM array to further reduce the threshold voltages.

  • Publication number: 20060104362
Abstract: A method for locating partitions of a video image is provided. The method is used to simplify the process of obtaining the related information of neighboring partitions during the coding and decoding process for the video image. The method starts by mapping the storage units of a matrix to adjacent sub-blocks of a video image. The related information of the partitions is stored in the corresponding storage units. The related information of the neighboring partitions is obtained according to the relative locations of the storage units and the mapping relationship between the storage units and the sub-blocks.

  • Publication number: 20060085105
Abstract: An automatic charging station for an autonomous mobile machine includes a base, a housing, and a signal transmitter. The base is mounted on the ground or on a planar surface. The housing is rotatably mounted on the base, having at least one guide member and a plurality of electrically conductive members on a surface thereof. The electrically conductive members are located on the housing. The signal transmitter is mounted on the housing for transmitting a signal. When the autonomous mobile machine senses the signal transmitted by the transmitter while moving, the autonomous mobile machine moves along a route towards the housing and then forces the guide member to enable the housing to rotate for facing and accommodating the autonomous mobile machine and to further enable the autonomous mobile machine to contact against the housing to have its electrodes in contact with the electrically conductive members for charging.
