  • Publication number: 20050116742
Abstract: In a method of generating an oscillatory wave signal, a set of digitized time-domain basic wave signals are transformed into a corresponding set of frequency spectra. The set of frequency spectra are randomly processed, and are subsequently combined so as to obtain a mixed spectrum The mixed spectrum is transformed into a time-domain synthesized wave signal corresponding to the mixed spectrum. Thereafter, the synthesized wave signal is converted into an analog wave signal. An apparatus for generating the oscillatory wave signal is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6849533
Abstract: A method for fabricating a microelectronic product provides for forming a planarizing layer upon a bond pad and a topographic feature, both formed laterally separated over a substrate. The planarizing layer is formed with a diminished thickness upon the bond pad such that it may be readily etched to expose the bond pad while employing as a mask an additional layer formed over the topographic feature but not over the bond pad. The method is particularly useful for forming color filter sensor image array optoelectronic products with attenuated bond pad corrosion.

  • Publication number: 20050012173
Abstract: A method to reduce the inverse narrow width effect in NMOS transistors is described. An oxide liner is deposited in a shallow trench that is formed to isolate active areas in a substrate. A photoresist plug is formed in the shallow trench and is recessed below the top of the substrate to expose the top portion of the oxide liner. An angled indium implant through the oxide liner into the substrate is then performed. The plug is removed and an insulator is deposited to fill the trenches. After planarization and wet etch steps, formation of a gate dielectric layer and a patterned gate layer, the NMOS transistor exhibits an improved Vt roll-off of 40 to 45 mVolts for both long and short channels. The improvement is achieved with no degradation in junction or isolation performance. The indium implant dose and angle may be varied to provide flexibility to the process.
