Claims

1. An isolated polynucleotide segment comprising a polynucleotide sequence encoding an ATP-binding protein having SEQ ID NO:2.

2. An isolated polynucleotide segment comprising a polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence from position 1 to 966 inclusive of the polynucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1.

3. An isolated polynucleotide segment comprising a nucleotide sequence which is identical to the reference sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, except that the nucleotide sequence includes up to five nucleotide substitutions, insertions or deletions for every 100 nucleotides of the reference sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.

4. The polynucleotide of claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the polynucleotide encoding an ATP-binding protein is DNA.

5. The polynucleotide of claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the polynucleotide encoding an ATP-binding protein is RNA.

6. An isolated polynucleotide fully complementary to the polynucleotide of claim 1.

7. An isolated polynucleotide fully complementary to the polynucleotide of claim 2.

8. An isolated polynucleotide fully complementary to the polynucleotide of claim 3.

9. An isolated vector comprising the polynucleotide of claim 1 or 2.

10. An isolated host cell comprising the vector of claim 9.

11. A process for producing an ATP-binding protein comprising the step of culturing the host cell of claim 10 under conditions sufficient for the production of said polypeptide.
