Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a garment made from a stretchable fabric with a high yield strain and low hysteresis so that the garment is capable of stretching to comfortably fit and provide support for the unique shapes and curves of wearers within a single size group and across multiple size groups. More specifically, the claimed invention relates to shapewear. A shapewear garment constructed in accordance with the present invention could be made in a first standard size and comfortably flex and self-adjust to fit wearers across sizes extra-small (XS), small (S), and medium (M); and in a second standard size and comfortable flex and self-adjust to fit wearers across sizes large (L), extra-large (XL), and double extra-large (XXL); and the garment would retain its original dimensions when the force exerted on the garment by the wearer's body is removed.
Abstract: A conductive garment that has electrodes that can be used for medical applications, such as electrotherapy or electrocardiography. The garment includes a first front panel, a second front panel detachably connected to the first front panel by an interconnecting device, a back panel, a first lateral panel and a second lateral panel, each lateral panel including a first end and second end. The first lateral panel and the second lateral panel are placed on opposite sides of the back panel; and the first end of each lateral panel is detachably connected to the back panel and wherein the second end of the first lateral panel is detachably connected to the first front panel and the second end of the second lateral panel is detachably connected to the second front panel.
Abstract: This application describes a garment (e.g. a swim suit) having a base layer of stretchable elasticated fabric, the base layer having a torso portion that covers at least a part of the torso of a person when the garment is worn. An inner core layer of stretchable elasticated fabric is bonded to the inner surface of the base layer to extend around the abdomen and lower back regions of the garment. By providing a double layer of stretchable elasticated fabric in this manner, more compression is applied to the abdomen of the person (e.g. swimmer) wearing the suit, bringing about improvements in form drag. The additional support provided to the lower back and abdomen also improves core stability, which is of benefit in many sporting activities, including swimming.

Abstract: An airbag device for the body instantaneously activates an airbag without malfunctions. When an absolute value of an angular velocity detected by an angular velocity sensor exceeds a predetermined angular velocity value, angular velocity values are integrated from a most recent detected value to an oldest value within a predetermined time period, and if an absolute value of a resultant value of integral exceeds a predetermined value and an acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor is smaller than a predetermined acceleration, the airbag is inflated. Based on the value of the integral of the angular velocities, a case in which an angular velocity gradually increases is distinguished from a case in which an angular velocity momentarily increases, so the airbag device effectively prevents malfunctions caused by an action other than falling over. Additionally, because it is unnecessary to intentionally delay determination to prevent malfunctions, the airbag can instantaneously be inflated.
Abstract: The method comprises the phases of: knitting at least one part (5A, 5B) of the body (1) with reciprocating motion of the two cylinders of a double-cylinder machine; -knitting the leg pieces (9 A, 9B) with a continuous rotational motion of the two cylinders (11, 13), a first leg piece being knitted by a first of said cylinders and a second leg piece being knitted by a second of said cylinders. It is provided for an arc of needles (C) to be maintained temporarily inactive on each of said two cylinders while knitting said at least one part (5A, 5B) of the body (1) with reciprocating motion. Furthermore, it is provided that the temporarily inactive needles are set to work at the end of the knitting of said at least one part (5A, 5B) of the body (1) with reciprocating motion, thus forming an interknitting line (CC) for joining the two leg pieces (9 A, 9B), then continuing the knitting with continuous rotary motion with all the needles (15) of both the cylinders (11, 13).

The shirt portion is configured to cover the user's midriff, and to reduce migration of the lower portion of the girdle portion toward the user's chest line. The shirt portion attached to the bottom of the girdle portion and an elastic or resilient band attached to the top of the girdle portion both work to reduce migration or bunching of the girdle portion around the middle of the torso. The shirt portions can be made of any fabric and can be tucked into, or worn over, a user's other external clothing layer.
