The bag includes first and second side walls formed from heat shrinkable material joined together to form a body portion having an opening for access into an interior chamber having an inner surface to receive and contain the product. A header is attached to the inner surface of the body portion and extends outwardly from the opening in the body portion. The header is substantially formed from non-shrinkable film material that prevents distortion of the header during manufacture of the bag.

Abstract: A hermetically sealed package for an optical media disk includes an oxygen impermeable base and an oxygen impermeable cover layer superposed on the base. The base includes a central portion thereof spaced from the cover layer to form an enclosing chamber for the disk. The cover layer is sealed to the base by means of a circular seal defining a periphery of the enclosing chamber.

Abstract: A low-cost tamper-resistant product package is provided. The package comprises a substantially flat thermoplastic sheet forming a package backing, and a molded plastic cover sealed to the backing. The backing and cover are preferably formed of a plastic, such as polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene, that is difficult to puncture, cut or tear. The seal between the backing and cover is preferably difficult to compromise, so that human hands have great difficulty separating the backing and cover. RF welding and ultrasonic welding are preferred methods of sealing the package. The plastic backing is adapted to be printed upon directly. The cover preferably includes a ridge around its perimeter to inhibit bending of the package and assist in package display. The cover also preferably includes at least one bulge, forming therein a hollow recess for housing a product.

The point-of-sale card may be affixed by adhesive or shrinkwrap and may or may not contain a magnetic strip; the strip can be activated at the time of sale or by other means. The combination may be used in conjunction with the Internet to access a website for browsing and to download music or other desired electronic files onto a separate data storage device and to pay for this access with the point-of-sale card or a separate value account. The compact disc is activated by a PIN contained on the point-of-sale card or embedded in the CD itself. Additional value can be added to the point-of-sale card using a credit card, debit card checking account, or the like.

Abstract: The present invention provides a dispensing unit with a sealed enclosure containing a pill or pills which is provided by a cover attached to a flat base portion. The flat base portion is attached to a commonly used object using a first adhesive. The cover has a top bubble portion to provide space for the pill or pills and a bottom flange which is sealed to the flat base portion using a second adhesive. A tab portion of the cover is used to remove the cover from the base portion to access the pill enclosure. The pill or pills are attached to the top surface of the base portion using a third adhesive. The base portion is not displaced from the object when the cover is removed. The user can easily remove the pill or pills from the base portion by hand as the base portion remains attached to the object. A number of dispensing units can be made together on a larger base assembly with perforations to provide each individual base portion of a dispensing unit.

Abstract: A battery package for holding a battery dispenser and batteries including a backing and a battery holder. The backing includes a first board and a second board, with the second board having a first sheet pivotally connected to a second sheet. The first board is connected to the first sheet of the second board. The battery holder is connected and extends from the first board. The first sheet and the second sheet of the second board include instructions for using the battery dispenser and the batteries. The backing has a closed position for displaying the battery dispenser and the batteries and an open position wherein the first sheet of the second board and the first board are flipped upward about the second sheet of the second board to allow a user of the batteries to read the instructions.

Each of the first and second panels includes a disc-shaped embossed portion having a depth of approximately one half the thickness of the disc. The embossed regions cooperatively define a disc cavity that closely receives the disc. The front panel defines a window that permits viewing of the disc. The package further includes a transparent film extending over the window. The rear panel may include a plurality of die cut fingers positioned about the embossed region to aid in retaining the disc in the embossed region during packaging. The rear panel may also include a friction coating applied within the embossed region to further aid in retaining the disc in the embossed region during packaging.

Abstract: A package for a shaver includes a display card made of non-magnetically conductive material. A pyramid-shaped housing extends from the display card and is also made of a non-magnetically conductive material. An aperture is provided to allow the insertion of a razor blade into the pyramid-shaped housing. A permanent magnet also resides within the housing. The packaging is believed to cooperate with and intensify the earth's magnetic field to prolong the useful life of the razor blade.

Abstract: Retail razor display packaging comprising a razor stand and a display card. The razor stand is preferably transparent and is designed to engage at least a portion of a display card so that a razor can be positioned on the razor stand and then connected to the display card in a manner which provides an attractive display. The razor stand permits a potential purchaser to view the razor prior to purchasing and then provides a convenient holder for the razor after purchasing and use.

Abstract: A plurality of card-mounted articles may be placed on a merchandising display peg by having a hollow mounting rod passed through an opening in each of the cards, so that the plurality of cards can be lifted and moved simultaneously. An end of the hollow mounting tube is placed over the outer end of the peg, and the card mounted articles are slid off the tube onto the peg. Typically, the cards are mounted on a tube in the package in which they are shipped and stored, or the tube can be put into place at the retail store. The container may have a fold down portion at its end to facilitate placing the hollow mounting rod into the openings in the cards.

A package outlet is formed in the packaging case for passage of each recording sheet, and set directed toward the thermal printer component. Plural cutouts are formed in a periphery of the packaging case, and receive the guiding projections. Blocking portions of a blocking frame are disposed inside the packaging case, and close the cutouts. The blocking portions are shiftable inwards from the cutouts by the guiding projections.

Abstract: The invention herein relates to a method and apparatus for forming (or cold-forming) an embossed blister from a laminated film wherein an indicia is formed on the base of the blister. In particular, the invention involves a single pass process of combining the formation of a blister and the formation of an indicia (embossing) on the blister, wherein the blister-forming pin contains a face with an indicia and is adapted to controllably stretch the laminated film during blister formation to minimize stretching of the film at the base of the blister. The invention is particularly useful in manufacturing processes which involve the formation of blisters having laminated films which contain a metal foil and polymer layer, wherein improved control in the stretching of the laminate during blister formation is desirable.

The hydrogel layer comprises a hydrophilic natural or synthetic polymer to provide body dispersed in water and can be a tacky adhesive. The polymer can comprise any high molecular weight hydrophilic carbohydrate such as karaya, cornstarch, or a kelp gel and/or a synthetic hydrophilic polymer such as polyacrylamide or polyacrylic acid. A humectant such as a polyhydric alcohol, keeps the gel layer moist. A solute such as salt, protein, sugar or an alcohol is dissolved in the water in a quantity sufficient to raise the osmotic pressure enough to maintain the hydrogel layer in a hypertonic state with respect to the blister.

A product bubble protrudes frontwardly from the cover front wall and has a curved front face. A bubble top wall extends between the cover front wall and the bubble front face, and beneath the bubble top wall, a bubble bottom wall extends between the cover front wall and the bubble front face, the forward extension of the bubble top wall is less than the forward extension of the bubble bottom wall, tending to counteract the visual impact of product settling. The base has a curved rearwardly opening base front wall of approximately the same curvature as the cover front wall. A card is clasped between the cover front wall and the base front and is thereby conformed to a curvature approximately matching that of the cover front wall.

An upper end of the writing implement includes a power switch which is linearly displaceable between an off position, a momentary-on position, and a locked-on position. An opening within the package allows the power switch to extend outside the package so that a consumer may operate the power switch without removing the writing implement from the package. The opening is sized and shaped to restrict linear displacement of the power switch between the off position and the momentary-on position.

A second layer of ink is then applied over the first layer of ink, so that the first layer of ink is hidden from view when looking at the top surface of the backer.

The base and lid are formed so that they may be cooperatively engaged to form a package structure for housing a large number of different sized and shaped objects. The lid and base are adjustably lockable with each other at various positions, determined by the size and shape of the object placed within the base and lid and the connection ridge of the base and lid which are engaged with each other. In this manner a one basic packaging product may be used for a large number of retail items at the retail store level and at the manufacturing and packaging level.

The top carrier sheet may have an opening positioned over the well so as to be surrounded by the support frame. The package is completed by affixing a product sampler unit containing a sample of a fluid or volatile personal care product on top of the composite carrier card. Packaged in this manner, the support frame enhances the burst strength of the sampler unit by absorbing compressive forces exerted across the plane of the sampler.

Steam channels are formed between the ribs. The ribs extend radially from a moisture reservoir positioned within the dish interior. Liquid based food products may be placed in the moisture cylinder during cooking. Steam generated from the moisture reservoir easily travels down the radial steam channels.

The display may be manipulated without opening the package and while the electronic device remains secured within the packaging.

The container is formed from first and second walls. A second wall overlies the first wall to close the cavity area and thereby forms an interior compartment. A thermal seal joins the two walls together. A backing board has an article mounted to it and the entirety is encased in a transparent material to present the article for display. A further side or end of the article is presented to a purchaser viewing from the front by provision of an angled reflective surface adjacent that side or end presenting the reflected view of that side or end of the article to the purchaser. This allows the hang cell construction to allow the purchaser viewing the front of the display to see that side of the article as well as a reflected view of a further side which may carry features which might otherwise not be apparent.
