  • Patent number: 10722035
Abstract: The present invention discloses a plastic rattan weaving structure, a rattan chair made with the structure and a method for forming a convex knot. The convex knot has a cross section that is greater than the middle cross section of the rattan piece used for making the rattan weaving structure. The rattan weaving structure has the convex knots on its edge. The rattan chair has a chair seat, a skeleton, an armrest and a base. The chair seat has the convex knots on its edge. The method for forming the convex knot comprises pressing and fixing the edge of the plastic rattan piece with a mold, setting up heating elements around the edge, heating the edge of the plastic rattan with the heating elements to cause shrinkage and accumulation of the rattan inside the mold, and finally formation of the convex knot.

  • Patent number: 10596631
Abstract: A method includes the sequential steps of compacting a powder metal in a tool and die set using a compaction press to form a powder metal compact, ejecting the powder metal compact from the tool and die set, positioning the powder metal compact relative to another part, and cooling the powder metal compact. When the powder metal is compacted, a temperature of the powder metal used to form the powder metal compact increases relative to ambient temperature due to deformation of the powder metal during compacting. After ejection and while the powder metal compact is still above ambient temperature, the compact is positioned relative to the other part. Then, upon the cooling of the powder metal compact, the powder metal compact dimensionally shrinks to form an interference fit between the powder metal compact and the other part thereby forming the composite component, which may be subsequently sintered.

Abstract: The invention discloses a process for the preparation of a biodegradable stent which involves deforming an extruded biodegradable polymer tube axially at a first predefined temperature by applying an axial force for a first predefined time interval. The process is followed by radially expanding the axially stretched tube at a second predefined temperature by pressurizing the tube with an inert gas in one or more stages, the pressure applied in each successive stage being higher than the pressure applied in a previous stage. The process further comprises laser cutting a specific pattern of scaffold structure on the expanded tube and then crimping the laser cut stent on the balloon of delivery catheter in a sterile environment in multiple stages.

  • Patent number: 10190257
Abstract: A wire cable and a device and method for producing the wire cable, wherein a core strand is compacted and then braid strands are stranded on the core strand. The core strand is hammered before stranding of the braid strands in order to smooth the surface thereof. A plastic layer is applied to the core strand before stranding of the braid strands. The braid strands are pressed into the plastic layer while the plastic layer is heated. The core strand is a core cable and the braid strands are strands of the wire cable or the core strand is a heart strand and the braid strands are outer core strands of a core cable of the wire cable. A greater breaking strength of the wire cable is obtained by hammering the core strand in order to smooth it than by compacting a core strand with a roller compressor.

  • Patent number: 9872683
Abstract: A surgical stapler includes a jaw assembly at a distal end connected to a handle assembly that is configured to control the stapler and actuate the deployment of staples. The surgical stapler successfully eliminates intermediate caming portions commonly known as pushers that are located between the staples and a translating slider. The staples are located in pockets at an angle such that the base of the staple is parallel to an angled caming surface of the slider. The translating slider comes into direct contact with staples during deployment as the slider moves through each staple pocket where staples are partially supported by recesses along the slider pathway. The staples are deployed at an angle against the anvil surface. Because there are no pushers, a great deal of space is saved resulting in a much smaller diameter surgical stapler that is particularly suitable for laparoscopic stapling applications.

  • Patent number: 9730498
Abstract: Two plates, corresponding to the diameter of a length of riveting material being used, act as gauges and are placed separately on the top and bottom of at least one components to be made into a jewelry item. The length of material, such as a wire or tubing, is passed through holes in all the components, and the holes of the plates. This allows the jewelry maker to cut the length of material flush with the exposed surface of the plate on the top of the stack. This automatically measures the optimal length of material needed to span the combined thickness of all the components to be riveted together, while providing the desired length exposed at the top and bottom of the stacked pieces, to fashion a properly formed and secure flattened rivet head on each end of the length of material.

Abstract: A closing device, particularly for closing channels conducting pressure medium in a valve receiving body, has a rotationally symmetrical closing element (6) that is fastened in a seating bore (1) of a housing (14), having a calking site (2) that is provided on the circumference of the closing element (6) and that permanently fixes the closing element (6) in the housing (14) as a result of the plastic displacement of housing material. The seating bore (1) includes a transition area in the form of a bore step (4) between the calking site (2) and a centering cone surface (3). The bore step is recessed into the seating bore (1) by the plastic displacement of the housing material in the form of a bulge surrounding the closing element (6).

Abstract: Joint element for joining the side profiles of a first and a second cable ladder end-to-end with each other, preferably the side profiles being of the so-called hexagonal type, which joint element comprises on one hand a longitudinal gripping edge, which is connectable over the first longitudinal edges of the side profiles, and on the other hand a locking edge, which connects to the second, oppositely situated longitudinal edges of the side profiles, the locking edge of the joint element being provided with locking means for the fixation of the joint element against the side profile, wherein the locking means is formed as a locking tab that is formed with a free end and integrated with the locking edge. The invention also concerns a method for joining the side profiles of a first and a second cable ladder end-to-end with each other using such a joint element.

Abstract: A filter screen is formed by a first sheet metal frame having one or more cutout sections or a plurality of perforations. A first layer of screening is placed on top of the frame but does not extend to the edges of the frame. An optional second layer of screening may be placed over the top of the first layer such that it extends beyond the perimeter of the first layer but not to the perimeter of the frame. The assembly is then fusion bonded together and rolled into a tubular configuration. Abutting edges of the frame are welded together to form a rigid filter screen.
