Abstract: A mobile vehicle has an interior occupant compartment, commonly called a cab when the vehicle is a truck, that has a floor (60) covered by respective floor coverings (12, 14) that have top surfaces opposite the floor. The coverings connect to each other along a joint (16) cooperatively defined by respective over- and under-lapping margins (42, 44) of the respective coverings. One of the margins (44) has two open receptacles (50, 52), and the other (42) has formations (46, 48) each fitted respectively in a respective open receptacle so as to locate the respective top surfaces of the coverings substantially flush with each other and in substantial mutual abutment along the joint. An expanse 42A, 44A that forms at least a portion of the respective top surface is disposed beyond and integrally formed with the respective margin. A foam pad (62, 64) underlies each expanse.

Abstract: A vehicle driver security screen and in particular a screen that seeks to minimize access to the driver's area of a vehicle such as a taxi cab or bus from side or rear attempts by passengers to access the driver area in an assault or robbery situation. The security screen is removably attached to the driver's seat in a way that does not restrict the movement of the driver's seat, nor restrict the driver's access or escape from the vehicle. The present invention is useful for drivers of public transport who are regularly exposed to aggressive behavior from passengers. The security screen provides protection to the head and torso regions of the driver while allowing contact with the passengers, such as when money is exchanged. Furthermore, the security screen provides protection to the driver from rear knife attack.

Abstract: A pull-out desk unit for a mobile vehicle. The pull-out desk unit has a cantilevered dual surface table component. The cantilevered dual surface table offers truckers a legless table for eating and general tasks, as well as desk area that keeps their belongings as they leave them eliminating the need to clean up or put things away. The innovation in this product lies in the memory foam lid. Once the table is pulled out, the lid (top surface for eating/general table) can be unlatched and fold back revealing a desk area lower than the surface of the eating/general table. On the under side of the lid is relatively thin low density memory foam. This foam can compress easily inch allowing it to conform to anything left on the table.

Abstract: Robot and remote controlled devices have been utilized for information gathering purposes. However these robotic vehicles lack efficiency because they are not capable of operating out of doors or where the sensors and apparatus located on the robots are subject to harsh environments. The present invention provides a new and unique manner of overcoming these problems by providing a platform system that is placed upon existing robots without requiring adjustments to these devices. The platform effectuates easy installation of a plurality of sensors and apparatus on its top surface while providing internal housing for its wires and components, thereby providing a water, dirt and dust resistant environment which leads to better equipment function and ease of maintenance and repair.

Abstract: A networkable engine-generator control system for use with mobile generators mounted on a frame with ground engaging wheels enabling air transport. Each control system consists of a microprocessor based controller and associated field inputs and outputs. Each processor also includes asynchronous communications allowing it to poll external devices from one port and communicate over a network out of another port. Each onboard generator is operated based on runtime hours and system load. The controller monitors engine and generator parameters and makes this information available to an operator using an external monitoring software package. Local operation of each generator is also available on the trailer itself. When operated in conjunction with other systems any one of the controllers may be made the master. The other controllers then automatically are polled by the master. The master coordinates generator operations on all networked systems. The frame utilizing a spine truss and outer frame.
