Abstract: The present invention proposed a voice coil motor and a method of using magnetic restoring force for displacement control. The voice coil motor comprises a magnetic member and an electric member. The magnetic member generates a magnetic field. The electric member includes at least a coil and a ferromagnetic component. The coil can generate thrust when current is applied, and the ferromagnetic component can generate magnetic restoring force and normal coupling force. The voice coil motor further includes a suspension member, and is characterized in that the normal coupling force can preload the suspension member to eliminate the tilt angle and free play. Through the balance between the thrust generated by the coil current and the magnetic restoring force, open-loop displacement control can be accomplished without any elastic component.

Because the positions of the frond ends of the slider blocks in the slider moving direction relative to the stator salient poles of SIDE-A are shifted from those of SIDE-B by P/2 corresponding to 180 electrical degrees, thrust ripples occurring on SIDE-A and SIDE-B have a relationship such that they are displaced by P/2. • Patent number: 7075196
Abstract: An AC synchronous motor, also known as a stepper motor, uses its magnetics and drive coils to produce both motion and excitation for sets of position sensing coils. Each drive phase is equipped with one or more sensing coils, which may be differentially wound, with the coils configured to act as secondaries of a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT). The primary of the so-formed LVDT is the motor drive winding. The outputs from these coils are fed to a microprocessor or DSP through an internal or external A/D converter. The microprocessor or DSP decodes the measured voltages using resolver strategies to produce a position measurement. An alternate mode of operation uses these same coils to form a variable reluctance resolver. This alternative mode of operation could be used for sensing coarse position while the motor drive is not energized.

Abstract: Disclosed are a reciprocating motor and a reciprocating compressor having the same. The reciprocating motor comprises: an outer stator; an inner stator arranged at an inner circumferential surface of the outer stator with an air gap and at which a winding coil is wound; and a magnet arranged between the outer stator and the inner stator and linearly-moved when a power is applied to the winding coil. The winding coil is installed at the inner stator thus to reduce a usage amount of the coil, thereby reducing a fabrication cost of a motor. Also, a resistance of the coil is reduced thereby to enhance an efficiency of the motor.

  • Patent number: 7053507
Abstract: A linear oscillating actuator system which is capable of canceling out the stator vibrations for driving a load with a minimum of vibrations. The system includes an oscillator carrying a permanent magnet as well as an output shaft for connection to the load. A stator assembly is incorporated within a housing and is configured to movably support the oscillator and to carry an electromagnet. The electromagnet generates a magnetic field which interacts with the permanent magnet to reciprocate the oscillator relative to the stator assembly in a linear path. A balancer is added to the system for canceling out undesired stator vibrations. The balancer are commonly supported to the stator assembly to be driven thereby in parallel with the oscillator. The balancer is configured to have a mass generally equal to that of the oscillator and to be devoid of any output member.

  • Patent number: 7009315
Abstract: An apparatus for converting vibration energy into electric power is provided, in which vibration of a power source is transmitted to a power-generating coil 14, and is then transmitted to an iron core 20 via helical compression springs 26 and 28, thereby causing relative movement between the iron core 20 and the power-generating coil 14 due to inertia, resulting in a change in the magnetic field. An electromotive force is thus generated due to electromagnetic induction, thereby causing a current to flow to an electric wire material 18. Specifically, use of vibration of the power source as energy for power generation can achieve efficient use of energy. The acquisition of electric energy by the power generation may also lead to mitigation of the vibration.
