Abstract: Methods and systems for using natural language processing and machine-learning algorithms to process vehicle-service data to generate metadata regarding the vehicle-service data are described herein. A processor can discover vehicle-service data that can be clustered together based on the vehicle-service data having common characteristics. The clustered vehicle-service data can be classified (e.g., categorized) into any one of a plurality of categories. One of the categories can be for clustered vehicle-service data that is tip-worthy (e.g., determined to include data worthy of generating vehicle-service content (e.g., a repair hint). Another category can track instances of vehicle-service data that are considered to be common to an instance of vehicle-service data classified into the tip-worthy category. The vehicle-service data can be collected from repair orders from a plurality of repair shops. The vehicle-service content generated by the systems can be provided to those or other repair shops.

  • Patent number: 10313642
Abstract: An imaging system for capturing an image of an object comprises a first lens, a dichroic beam splitter, which transmits light of a color band and reflects light of all colors outside the color band, a first image sensor for capturing an image formed by the transmitted light in the color band, a second image sensor for capturing an image formed by the reflected light outside the color band. The first image sensor is a monochrome image sensor and the second image sensor is a color image sensor having a color filter array disposed on pixels of the second image sensor. The image captured by the first image sensor and the image captured by the second image sensor are combined to form a single color image.

  • Patent number: 10309677
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) system of a building is provided. A monitoring server, located remotely from the building, receives operating parameter data from a monitoring device at the building that measures an operating parameter of the HVAC system. The monitoring server generates a plurality of data clusters from the operating parameter data, each data cluster corresponding to operating parameter data generated during steady-state operation of the HVAC system. The monitoring server calculates an average operating parameter value for each data cluster. The monitoring server calculates normalized operating parameter values based on normalizing the average operating parameter values for the data clusters over a predetermined normalization time period. The monitoring server compares the normalized operating parameter values with a threshold.

  • Patent number: 10290158
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle includes interior sensors including an IR camera and a visible light camera. Images of an interior of the vehicle are captured using the cameras both before and after a passenger rides in the vehicle. The IR images from before and after are subtracted to obtain a difference image. Pixels above a threshold intensity a clustered. Clusters having an above-threshold size are determined to be anomalies. Portions of images from the visible light camera corresponding to the anomalies are sent to a dispatcher, who may then clear the vehicle to pick up another passenger or proceed to a cleaning station. Anomalies may be identified based on a combination of the IR images and visible light images.
