  • Patent number: 11263779
Abstract: In an example, an apparatus includes a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor collects a first set of data describing a three-dimensional object that is placed in a constant position in a scene. The second sensor collects a second set of data describing the three-dimensional object. The first sensor has a first position in the scene, while the second sensor has a second position in the scene. The controller generates a first rendering of the three-dimensional object from the first set of data and generates a second rendering of the three-dimensional object from the second set of data. The controller also determines the first position and the second position based on an alignment of the first rendering and the second rendering with a three-dimensional model of the three-dimensional object.

The scaling processing performs scaling by transforming the motion vector of the peripheral block to a motion vector of an image having no fisheye distortion, and transforms the motion vector after the scaling to the motion vector in the fisheye image. By reducing a difference between a motion vector of the current predictive block and a predictive motion vector by performing the scaling processing, encoding efficiency of the fisheye image can be improved.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for measuring a display latency. A video capturing device is configured to capture a video of a reference light flash of a light emitter of a computing device. In the same video, the video capturing device is configured to capture a flash of a predetermined image displayed in a reference frame on a display screen coupled to the computing device. The video is analyzed to determine a time difference between the reference light flash of the light emitter and the flash of the predetermined image on the display screen. The determined time difference is compared with a reference time difference to determine a display latency, and the display latency may be provided to a user. In this manner, a display latency may be determined accurately and with readily available hardware, thus reducing the need to rely on expensive and specialized measuring equipment.

Abstract: A plurality of remote sensing images of a scene are received. A potential target object can be identified in one of the images, wherein the target object has a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). A candidate motion path of the target object can be generated based upon the images. A predicted position of the target object along the candidate motion path is determined for each of the remote sensing images. An image chip is extracted from each of the images, where each image chip is centered about the predicted position of the target object in its corresponding image. A sum image chip is generated based upon the image chips. An indication that the potential target object is an actual object in the images is output based upon a value of a center pixel of the sum image chip.
