Abstract: A battery powered high-intensity illumination device enclosed in a waterproof housing is adapted for removable attachment to a surface adjacent to a lock. Upon removing the device from the surface, one may easily transport it in the palm of one's hand or in a pocket, because of its compact, ergonomic size and shape. Activation of the device may be automatic, triggered by motion detection or a touch-sensitive switch. An internal shutoff timing circuit ensures hands free operation and energy efficiency. Angular adjustment allows the housing to be rotated so as to fixably alter the angle of the light beam with respect to the illumination target. A reflector allows the light source to be shielded from view and for light output to be focused on an area of interest. The size, shape, and appearance of the lock light are appealing and unique features of the device.

Abstract: This invention concerns electronic technology. One or more film light-emitting diodes which connect to positive and negative poles through conductor can be setup in the surface of a battery. Besides, one or more miniature light-emitting diode can be mounted in the end of a battery, connecting positive pole and negative pole through conductor. There are several advantages of this invention. First, because the film light-emitting diode is fixed in the surface of battery, we don't need to modify a lot in existing battery product line. Therefore, we can achieve a new function in the lowest cost. Second, the battery equips luminescence light-emitting diode, so it has lighting function instead of a electric torch. It can provide a large convenience when suffering earthquake or other emergency situation. Third, the battery has a long using life due to the high energy conversion efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7740371
Abstract: An illumination source for a camera includes one or more LEDs, and an electrical circuit that selectively applies power from the DC voltage source to the LEDs, wherein the illumination source is suitable for handheld portable operation. In some embodiments, the electrical circuit further includes a control circuit for driving the LEDs with electrical pulses at a frequency high enough that light produced has an appearance to a human user of being continuous rather than pulsed, the control circuit changing a pulse characteristic to adjust a proportion of light output having the first characteristic color spectrum output to that having the second characteristic color spectrum output. Some embodiments provide an illumination source including a housing including one or more LEDs; and a control circuit that selectively applies power from a source of electric power to the LEDs, thus controlling a light output color spectrum of the LEDs.

Abstract: A hand-held battery powered device senses when it is picked up, and then automatically turns on. When the device is released or set back down, it automatically turns off. Touch or contact sensors sense the touch of a human hand, causing a circuit in the device to switch on a light source, such as an LED, or a motor, or other load. The device is advantageously designed so that when grasped or picked up, the fingers of the user's hand lay over touch sensors. Various types of touch sensors may be used. The touch sensors operate electrically, and without any movement, or moving parts.
