  • Patent number: 10703013
Abstract: Described are improved devices and processes for manufacturing concrete articles, including concrete pipe. In one embodiment, the invention provides an apparatus that has a first platform that is located beneath the floor of a manufacturing facility. The first platform includes a top surface and is configured to move bi-directionally along an axis. Two form bases can reside on the top surface of the first platform, each form base further including a form core that extends vertically from the first platform through respective holes in a second platform that resides above the first platform at an elevation even with or just above the floor's surface. The second platform is configured to move bi-directionally with the first platform between one of two cranes disposed on either side of a concrete mixer. A form is placed over the first core, which is then positioned under the outlet of an auger that receives concrete from the mixer.

  • Patent number: 9366605
Abstract: Method and apparatus for processing tissue specimens against decomposition, putrefaction and autolysis which use a simple three step procedure in a single vessel or container. First, the specimens are saturated with a solvent mixture of a ketone and a hydrocarbon, e.g., an Acetone/Hexane or an Acetone/Xylene mixture, to dissolve lipids and other cellular solutes. The container is then flooded with melted Paraffin. In a last step, the solvent mixture is vaporized and evacuated from the container, allowing the melted Paraffin to replace the vaporized solvent and impregnate the specimens. Raw, i.e., non-processed and non-burred specimens up to 5 mm thick can be processed in about 60 minutes. A solvent regenerator distills the evacuated solvent; and converts vent waste gases into carbon dioxide and water through a thermocatalytic oxidizer.

  • Patent number: 9209047
Abstract: This method of waferscale packaging produces finished integrated circuits (ICs) individually completely encapsulated with environmentally protective packaging material while still in the wafer format. Following conventional semiconductor fabrication of chips at the wafer level and prior to their separation, a first polymer is applied to the front surface of the wafer with allowance for contact holes. A carrier wafer is attached to the exposed polymer. The original substrate is removed and the devices are separated by cutting through the semiconductor layer and the first polymer. A second polymer is applied to cover the exposed backside of the devices and to fill the cut spaces between them, thereby sealing the remaining five surfaces of the chips. The second polymer layer may also include contact holes for access to the back side of the device chips. A second singulation cutting leaves the chips on the wafer prepared for a pick-and-place operation.

  • Patent number: 8465270
Abstract: An injection mold for molding an electronic product which has a terminal includes a movable mold, a first sliding block levelly defining a through-hole, a second sliding block, a supporting pole and a stationary mold. A top of the movable mold defines an opening of which a bottom defines a fastening hole for fastening a bottom of the terminal therein. An inner sidewall of the second sliding block defines a groove for restraining a top of the terminal. The first and second sliding blocks are located at two opposite sides of the opening to together define a cavity for molding the electronic product. The supporting pole is movably inserted in the through-hole and stretches into the cavity to resist against the top of the terminal. The stationary mold is positioned on the first and second sliding blocks, and defines a sprue channel connected with the cavity.

Abstract: High precision MEMESs can be manufactured in a large amount without requiring a vacuum process or a lithography process. A film is aligned with a die so as to contact with each other. The film has a functional layer and a releasing layer printed thereon. The die is configured to mold a structure which comprises a functional layer retention part retaining the functional layer and a frame supporting the functional layer retention part. The resin filled between the die and the film is cured. Then, the film is separated from the die so that the functional layer is released from the releasing layer and transferred on the resin cured in the die, thereby the structure is formed.
