  • Publication number: 20140030979
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods, apparatuses, and systems for implementing a point-to-point radio architecture in which the isolation needed between the transmitter and receiver may be achieved through the use of separate antennas. One embodiment is directed at a radio head comprising a transmitter configured to operate at a first frequency, a receiver configured to operate at a second frequency, and a processor coupled to both the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter is further coupled to a first antenna interface coupled to a first antenna configured to transmit signals at the first frequency. The receiver is further coupled to a second antenna interface coupled to a second antenna configured to receive signals at the second frequency.

Abstract: A method of performing pairing by a transmission terminal in device to device communication is provided. The method includes classifying a plurality of link identifications for identifying a data transmission and reception channel a seed of at least one link identification; selecting an available candidate link identification seed among the seed of the at least one link identification, transmitting a pairing request message including seed information associated with the selected available candidate link identification seed, and receiving a pairing response message corresponding to the pairing request message. When allocating a connection ID in a device to device communication environment, even if a small number of devices exist, an overhead for searching for the connection ID is not great. Further, when many devices exist within a specific range, a probability of devices having the same connection ID is reduced. Accordingly, the device to device communication can be easily performed.

Abstract: An efficient coding and modulation system for transmission of digital data over plastic optical fibers is disclosed. The digital signal is coded by a three-level coset coding. The spectral efficiency of the system is configurable by selecting the number of bits to be processed in each of the levels. The first level applies to the digital data a binary BCH coding and performs coset partitioning by constellation mapping and lattice transformations. Similarly, second level applies another binary BCH coding, which may be performed selectably in accordance with the desired configuration by two BCH codes with substantially the same coding rate, operating on codewords of different sizes. The third level is uncoded. The second and third levels undergo mapping and lattice transformation. After an addition of the levels, a second-stage lattice transformation is performed to obtain a zero-mean constellation. The symbols output from such three-level coset coder are then further modulated.

According to some embodiments, a signal receiving system may comprise an I/Q demodulator that demodulates a first modulated signal to an in-phase (“I”) signal and a quadrature (“Q”) signal, an I/Q signal adjustor that adaptively adjusts the Q signal to increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a transitory signal that is based on a second modulated signal, and an I/Q modulator that modulates the I signal and the adjusted Q signal to the second modulated signal. To increase the SNR, the Q signal may be adjusted based on a calculated error determined for the transitory signal during demodulation by a demodulator downstream from the I/Q modulator.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for automatically sharing data resources between Bluetooth devices. A Bluetooth device is paired with a “trusted” Bluetooth device. When paired devices are found, the Bluetooth device automatically allows the other device to present a virtual representation of data that is shared. The shared data can be selectively downloaded for use by the other device as long as the devices are in proximity. In an alternate embodiment, the devices may share pairing information with a network, so that the same shared resource can be made available at a large number of access points but specifically only for one paired, trusted device.

Abstract: Communication to or from a nanodevice is provided with a nanostructure-based antenna, preferably formed from, but not limited to, a single wall nanotube (SWNT). Other nanostructure-based antennas include double walled nanotubes, semiconducting nanowires, metal nanowires and the like. The use of a nanostructure-based antenna eliminates the need to provide a physical communicative connection to the nanodevice, while at the same time allowing communication between the nanodevice and other nanodevices or outside systems, i.e., systems larger than nanoscale such as those formed from semiconductor fabrication processes such as CMOS, GaAs, bipolar processes and the like.

Abstract: Data broadcast data, which is broadcast in data broadcasts, is constructed by disposing, for example, EMD (Electric Music Distribution) links required to acquire song data as actual broadcast data, which is broadcast in actual broadcasts by a transmitting device, the actual broadcast data is transmitted, and the data broadcast data wherein the EMD links for the song data in the actual broadcasts are disposed, is transmitted periodically during the transmission of the actual broadcast data. The actual broadcast data and the data broadcast data are received by a user terminal, and the EMD links disposed in the data broadcast data are stored whenever there is an input of an operation to attach a “bookmark”. Thus, audio data such as songs in programs broadcast can easily be acquired by radio.

The device transmits the requested data to the first mobile terminal. The first mobile terminal generates processed data by using the data received from the device. The first mobile terminal assigns an identifier to the processed data. The first mobile terminal transmits the processed data in association with the identifier to the management server. The first mobile terminal transmits an association relationship between the identifier and the data used for generating the processed data to the device. The device stores the identifier in association with the transmitted data.
