A melt volume rate of the polycarbonate is equal to or less than 15 cm3/10 min, measured at 300° C. with a 1.2 kg load in accordance with ISO1133.

Abstract: The present invention provides an inkjet ink and a hiding layer coating agent that contain radical polymerizable components including a polyfunctional monomer that includes a high Tg polyfunctional monomer with a glass transition temperature Tg of not less than 40° C. at a ratio of not less than 30 mass % and a monofunctional monomer, a volatile solvent, and a photo-radical polymerization initiator, with a ratio of the monofunctional monomer being 5 to 70 mass % in the radical polymerizable components and a ratio of the volatile solvent being 50 to 400 mass % with respect to the radical polymerizable components and are excellent in dispersion stability due to not containing (excluding) a white pigment such as titanium oxide, etc., and enable printing of a white or colored character having a high hiding property equivalent to that in a case where the white pigment is contained.

Abstract: The present invention relates to preparation of heterogeneous mixtures of (carboxylated) vinyl ester/ethylene dispersions, such as vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) dispersions with polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin (PAE) wet strength resins having a reduced amount of halogenated organic compounds, such as less than 1500 ppm. The dispersion offers extremely low free and bound formaldehyde levels combined with wet tensile strength for use in non-woven textile and paper applications.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure provide fluoropolymers and methods for forming and using such fluoropolymers. Fluoropolymers include polyfluorobenzoxazines and polyfluoroimides. Methods for forming polyphthalonitriles are also provided. The present disclosure is further directed to compositions containing one or more fluoropolymers and one or more metal oxides.

Abstract: Organosilicon polymer foams are synthesized using a Carboni-Lindsey reaction of a tetrazine with a siloxane polymer having at least one of alkenyl or alkynyl functional groups. Optionally, the reaction may also comprise a second polymer having at least one of alkenyl or alkynyl functional groups. The organosilicon polymer foams may be crosslinked thermoset foams. The foams may be flexible or rubbery.

Abstract: Described herein are polyphenylene sulfide (“PPS”) polymer compositions including a low MFR PPS polymer and E-CR glass fibers. It was surprisingly discovered that the PPS polymer compositions had significantly improved retention of tensile strength and tensile elongation after water aging (“water aging performance”), relative to corresponding PPS polymer compositions having E glass fibers instead of the E-CR glass fibers. Moreover, it was also discovered that PPS polymer compositions including E-CR glass fibers in conjunction with a low MFR PPS polymer and a high MFR PPS polymer had unexpected synergies with respect to water aging performance, relative to corresponding polymer compositions including E-CR glass fibers and either a low MFR PPS polymer or a high MFR PPS. Due at least in part to the improved water aging performance, the PPS polymer compositions can be advantageously incorporated into application settings where the polymer composition is in contact with water.

Compositions made according to the present disclosure can have relatively high near zero shear rate melt strengths while also having high shear rate melt viscosities and high engineering stresses at a high percent elongations, making the compositions amenable to extrusion and molding processes. Compositions made according to the present disclosure are particularly well suited to molding articles with a complex shape.

Abstract: There is provided herein a one-part, moisture-curable, elastomeric, translucent coating composition comprising: (a) a di-hydroxy-terminated dimethylpolysiloxane polymer; (b) a reinforcing filler; (c) an organic solvent; (d) a polyalkoxysilane crosslinking agent; (e) an organo-silane adhesion promoter; and, (f) a titanium condensation cure catalyst, wherein the composition is a one-part, moisture-curable, elastomeric, translucent coating composition, and a process of making the composition.

Abstract: The present invention provides compositions that enable excellent early hardness development in coating applications, the compositions comprising a blend of one or more acrylic emulsion copolymer, pA, having a Tg of 20° C. or higher, and one or more acrylic emulsion copolymer, pB, having a Tg at least 15° C. lower than that of pA, together with one or more additive chosen from a coalescent having a normal boiling point no greater than 300° C., a naturally derived plasticizer, and mixtures thereof. The compositions may be ambient curable.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a novel heat moldable gel and foam composition and the process for making the gel and foam composition. The gel and foam composition comprises gel infused into cells of a foam. The gel is a blend of gelling agents, such as thermoplastic polymers, resiliency components, such as styrene-butadiene or styrene-isoprene copolymer and softening agents, such as oils. The foam preferably has a hardness less than or equal to a hardness of the gel.
