Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that detects unwanted electronic components in a target asset. During operation, the system obtains target electromagnetic interference (EMI) signals by monitoring EMI signals generated by the target asset while the target asset is running a periodic workload. Next, the system generates a target EMI fingerprint from the target EMI signals. The system then applies a compression/dilation technique to time-series signals in the target EMI fingerprint to achieve alignment with corresponding time-series signals in a reference EMI fingerprint to produce a synchronized target EMI fingerprint. Finally, the system compares the synchronized target EMI fingerprint against the reference EMI fingerprint to determine whether the target asset contains any unwanted electronic components.

  • Patent number: 11012812
Abstract: Systems and methods to track the respective locations of subjects over time. The system identifies subjects who, over time, were co-located with one another suggesting they are associated with one another, and the pairs are analyzed. For each of the subjects, the system produces a vector that quantifies the subject's location history by including a respective weight for each combination of a time interval with a geographical area. The vectors are compared using a distance metric, and any pair of subjects whose vectors are sufficiently close are flagged as being an associated pair. The respective vector belonging to each subject is normalized to account for the total number of other subjects who were co-located with the subject. For each interval-area pair, the system may compute the frequency of the interval-area pair, and then divide each weight that corresponds to the interval-area pair by the frequency of the interval-area pair.

Abstract: Example techniques of data management in a network environment are described. In an example, a semantic pattern in a data stream transmitted from a source device to an edge device in the network environment is determined. The semantic pattern indicates relevance of data samples in the data stream for analysis of the data stream. The data stream is processed based on the semantic pattern, for storage and transmission in the network environment.

Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, and computer readable medium for transmitting data using polynomial-based signals. Data may be represented as a message polynomial and convolved with a reference polynomial to generate a transmission polynomial. • Patent number: 10957217
Abstract: A method is presented for estimating population from sample proportions that produces margins of error narrower for any specific sample size or that requires a sample size smaller for any specific margin of error than do previously existing methods applied to the same data. This method applies an unbiased estimator of the squared correlation between population and sample proportions to determine point and interval estimates of population proportions in a regression context involving simple random sampling with replacement. In virtually all reasonable applications, assuming a Dirichlet prior distribution, the margin of error produced by this method for a population proportion is shown to be 1.96 times the posterior standard deviation of the proportion.

Abstract: An imaging system (e.g., hyperspectral imaging system) receives an indication to compare a first object and a second object (e.g., two anatomical structures or organs in a medical environment). The imaging system accesses a classification vector for the first object and the second object, the classification vector having been extracted by separating a plurality of collected reflectance values for the first object from a plurality of collected reflectance values for the second object. A set of optimal illumination intensities for one or more spectral illumination sources of the imaging system is determined based on the extracted classification vector. The first and second objects are illuminated with the determined illumination intensities. A high-contrast image of the first and second objects is provided for display, such that the two objects can be readily distinguished in the image. The intensity of pixels in the image is determined by the illumination intensities.
