  • Patent number: 11158414
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for identifying gaps in health management data, and combining an estimated data subset with the health management data to fill in gaps in the health management data. The health management data can be derived from a wearable electronic fitness tracking device such as a smart watch or pedometer. The estimated data subset can be derived based on historical data for the individual, average data for a demographic group, crowdsourced, or estimated based on user profile information, and/or portable electronic device information, such as from a smartphone belonging to a user. The estimated data subset is combined with the health management data to form a revised health parameter dataset. The estimated data subset may be sent to a wearable electronic fitness tracking device, which causes the wearable electronic fitness tracking device to initiate a fitness program adjustment based on the revised health parameter dataset.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods disclosed herein operate to monitor times of receipt of start-of-frame indications associated with frames received from multiple image sensors at a video controller. Time differences between the times of receipt of the frames are calculated. Embodiments herein alter one or more frame period determining parameter values associated with the image sensors if the time differences equal or exceed frame synchronization hysteresis threshold values. Parameter values are adjusted positively and/or negatively to decrease the time differences. The parameter values may be reset at each image sensor when the time differences become less than the frame synchronization hysteresis threshold value as additional frames are received at the video controller.

  • Patent number: 11075066
Abstract: Particles such as nanoparticles in a sample are analyzed by single-particle inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (spICP-MS). The sample is processed in an ICP-MS system to acquire time scan data corresponding to ion signal intensity versus time. A signal distribution, corresponding to ion signal intensity and the frequency at which the ion signal intensity was measured, is determined from the time scan data. A particle detection threshold is determined as an intersection point of an ionic signal portion and a particle signal portion of the signal distribution. The particle signal portion corresponds to measurements of particles in the sample, and the ionic signal portion corresponds to measurements of components in the sample other than particles. The particle detection threshold separates the particle signal portion from the ionic signal portion, and may be utilized to determine data regarding the particles.

Abstract: Systems and methods to track the respective locations of subjects over time. The system identifies subjects who, over time, were co-located with one another suggesting they are associated with one another, and the pairs are analyzed. For each of the subjects, the system produces a vector that quantifies the subject's location history by including a respective weight for each combination of a time interval with a geographical area. The vectors are compared using a distance metric, and any pair of subjects whose vectors are sufficiently close are flagged as being an associated pair. The respective vector belonging to each subject is normalized to account for the total number of other subjects who were co-located with the subject. For each interval-area pair, the system may compute the frequency of the interval-area pair, and then divide each weight that corresponds to the interval-area pair by the frequency of the interval-area pair.

Abstract: A method is presented for estimating population from sample proportions that produces margins of error narrower for any specific sample size or that requires a sample size smaller for any specific margin of error than do previously existing methods applied to the same data. This method applies an unbiased estimator of the squared correlation between population and sample proportions to determine point and interval estimates of population proportions in a regression context involving simple random sampling with replacement. In virtually all reasonable applications, assuming a Dirichlet prior distribution, the margin of error produced by this method for a population proportion is shown to be 1.96 times the posterior standard deviation of the proportion.

Abstract: Methods, computer systems, and computer-storage medium are provided for managing patient alerts using a mobile device. A mobile device associated with a patient caregiver receives a critical alert related to the patient, and the alert is presented on the mobile device. The alert includes important contextual information that enables the caregiver to make a quick assessment of how to effectively address the alert. The alert includes options for accepting the alert or rejecting the alert. Acceptance of the alert enables the caregiver to communicate the alert to selected caregivers that can assist in managing the alert. Rejecting the alert causes the alert to be automatically communicated to additional caregivers associated with patient.

  • Patent number: 10740430
Abstract: A centralized optimization engine is configured to receive a problem specification that defines an optimization problem to be solved. The optimization engine classifies the problem specification within a large dataset of previously solved optimization problems. The optimization engine selects one or more solution strategies associated with similar optimization problems, and then executes those solution strategies to solve the optimization problem. Over time, the optimization engine updates the large data set with statistical information that reflects the performance of different solution strategies applied to various optimization problems, thereby increasing the effectiveness with which optimization problems may be solved.

Abstract: In a dark-field metrology method using a small target, a characteristic of an image of the target, obtained using a single diffraction order, is determined by fitting a combination fit function to the measured image. The combination fit function includes terms selected to represent aspects of the physical sensor and the target. Some coefficients of the combination fit function are determined based on parameters of the measurement process and/or target. In an embodiment the combination fit function includes jinc functions representing the point spread function of a pupil stop in the imaging system.

  • Patent number: 10732576
Abstract: A time-to-digital converter system has at least one time-to-digital converter comprising an oscillator, a counter being driven by the oscillator, an evaluation block connected to the counter and configured for determining a time difference associated with a start signal and a stop signal, and a histogram block with a number of bins for recording entries associated with the time difference. The system can be calibrated by operating or preparing to operate the time-to-digital converter system with a measurement clock signal defining a measurement interval, providing a calibration clock signal having a frequency higher than the measurement clock signal by a predefined ratio, using a selected clock edge of the calibration clock signal as the start signal and a subsequent clock edge of the calibration clock signal as the stop signal. The evaluation block determines a calibration time difference based on the respective clock edges of the calibration clock signal used as the start signal and the stop signal.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method comprises determining, in received yield data, one or more passes, each pass including a plurality of observations. For each pass of the one or more passes, one or more discrete derivatives are determined, and based on the one or more discrete derivatives first outlier data is generated. First filtered data is generated by removing the first outlier data from the yield data. Furthermore, for each observation in the yield data, a plurality of nearest neighbor observations is determined, and used to determine a plurality of absolute differences in yield values. Based on the plurality of absolute differences, second outlier data is determined. Second filtered data is generated by removing the second outlier data from the first filtered data. Using a presentation layer of a computer system, a graphical representation of the second filtered data is generated and displayed on the computing system.
