Finance (e.g., Banking, Investment Or Credit) Patents (Class 705/35)
  • Patent number: 11501368
Abstract: Controlling communications between arrangements of computing systems improves letter of credit (“LC”) administration, speed, flexibility, and reach. The computing systems can be operated by an Applicant, Issuer, Custody Bank, and Beneficiary. LC improvements are achieved by the Applicant computing system making a LC request to the Issuer computing system, which obtains a hold on non-cash collateral and provides the hold to the Custody Bank computing system, designating the Custody Bank as both nominated person and paying agent. The Custody Bank computing system obtains a hold on the collateral, using it to immediately act on Beneficiary payment requests in kind of the collateral. Under these arrangements, the LC is capable of immediate payment and automated amendments to Stated Amounts to rebalance capacity amongst Beneficiaries of the Applicant, the LC Stated Amount and collateral values are always equal, and the LC is less susceptible to payment interference, automatic stays, and double payment.

  • Patent number: 11494467
Abstract: A system and method for identifying unauthorized uploaded content that has been uploaded before a validated live reference stream has been ingested is disclosed herein. The live reference stream is compared against the indexed uploaded content repeatedly as the live reference stream is received. The matching process is done once per a time period until a match meeting a minimum match duration threshold is identified. The match is then determined to be unauthorized, and a claim is issued against the unauthorized uploaded content. The time period can be based on a utility based analysis that factors the computational costs of repeated matching versus the diminishing value of the live reference stream as time progresses.

Abstract: To use letters of credit (LCs) as UMR collateral, LC data structures need to continuously reallocate undrawn LC stated amounts amongst Counterparties in real-time. The disclosed automated agent software modules perform these allocations and re-allocations without the need for LC amendments and under UMR Custodian control. Each LC can be credited to the Counterparty's account and digital tokens can be specified in the LC data structure and provided to the UMR Custodian for allocation as documentary conditions for LC payment. The LC stated amount honored must match the digital tokens allocated and not already used for payment. Individual or Joint Beneficiary LC stated amounts represent potential maximum LC capacity and whatever digital tokens held in an account represent the available capacity for draw. The digital tokens are deactivated or dereferenced from the LC data structure after payment, ensuring that a demand for payment can never exceed the available payment capacity.

Abstract: A decumulation management system provides guidance for decumulation of a portfolio over a decumulation period of time. A spending amount is withdrawn from the portfolio during the decumulation period of time. The decumulation management system determines the probability of successfully withdrawing the spending amount during the remaining decumulation period and establishes thresholds for adjusting the spending amount and a risk profile of the portfolio based on the performance of the portfolio during the decumulation. When the portfolio value decreases below the thresholds, the spending amount may be reduced, and when the portfolio value exceeds the thresholds, the spending amount may be increased and the risk profile of the portfolio is decreased. The decumulation management system may provide recommendations based on these thresholds, or may automatically manage withdrawals of the spending amount and investments to match the risk profile.

  • Patent number: 11429647
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for domain specific predictive model for entity assessment and valuation. In one implementation, evaluation criteria are identified. Historical data is collected with respect to one or more entities. Based on the one or more evaluation criteria and the historical data, one or more scores are reverse engineered with respect to the one or more entities. Linear regression analysis is performed on the one or more scores to build a predictive model. Analyze a new entity using the same scoring system with pre-prescribed parameters. Using the predictive model, a valuation of an entity is computed. One or more aspects of the computed valuation are presented within an interactive interface using a sensitivity analysis approach.

  • Patent number: 11429571
Abstract: Data streaming applications may need to provide high reliability, particularly depending on the nature of the data being streamed. A framework is described that allows a data streaming application to ensure high reliability both during update operations and during ordinary operations. A unique event ID count can be recorded that reflects messages being sent from a source to the streaming application. After an update and service restart, the count can again be collected to see if data is flowing through the streaming application as expected. Unique database record counts can be reviewed (e.g. after a restart or during ordinary operations) to ensure that no records are being unexpectedly dropped. Data content sampling can also be performed to see that any data transformations are functioning properly. Corrective actions (after a restart or during ordinary operations) can also be taken, including replay of database messages that are dropped, or sending an alert.

  • Patent number: 11432155
Abstract: A method preventing relay attacks between first and second devices is disclosed. The method includes providing, by a first device, a command message, receiving a request message and providing a response message to a second device. The time period between the receipt of the command message and the transmission of the response message by the first device is compared to another time period between the time when the command message was sent and the response message was received by the second device. If those times substantially match, then the first device can have assurance that a relay attack is not occurring.

  • Patent number: 11429914
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes accessing data from distinct data domains corresponding to different data sources, and determining a core dimension of the accessed data common to first and second distinct data domains. The method further includes generating a data set from the data sources using a columnar data generation engine, and deriving, from the data set via stateless processing, a first guided page including actionable elements depicting data derived from the first distinct data domain. The method further includes responsive to a user interaction with one of the actionable elements, providing, dependent on the common core dimension, direct navigation from the first to the second distinct data domain, and predicting, from the data set based on machine learning and prior to the user interaction, a second guided page that depicts data derived from the second distinct data domain and is presented responsive to the direct navigation.

  • Patent number: 11430057
Abstract: A user account evaluation system is disclosed for evaluating risk associated with a user account. The system may obtain user account data associated with many user accounts, select a statistically significant subset of the user accounts, and then process (e.g., to determine types of the user accounts, etc.) and analyze the subset of user accounts to generate a plurality of evaluation models. When a new user account is accessed by the system, user account data may be obtained for the new user account, and the new user account may be evaluated based on the plurality of evaluation models. Accordingly, a plurality of evaluation parameter scores may be generated for the new user account, each of which may indicate an amount of risk associated with the user account. Some embodiments of the present disclosure may include machine learning and/or artificial intelligence methods to improve evaluation of the user accounts.
